Doing something I should have done a long time ago.

Hello, i go by purple link, but I also have a Furaffinity Account. I go by BlueMaineCoon, which is a cool way of saying I didn't want it linked to my main accounts.

But I think that ship has sailed.

By a clear thousand miles.

I've been writing a story called Wretkin, and while I've sort of chickened out of book 5 for the present time, that doesn't mean I don't want to write it.

However, because it has a lot of FanFiction elements, particularly that of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (so yeah, you know where I'm going with this), I don't think I could ever sell it. I was sort of counting on the internet to be a big part of how i was going to dictate my future.

But of course, that was before someone else decided to be a dictator before me.

But who cares? That's not who I want to be. I want to be a furry author that likes to write about furry content, some mature or even adult content. My dream is to one day be able to write romance novels with dragons as a love interest. And I'm not just talking anthro dragons or shifters, I'm talking actual dragons. Sapient, of course, I would like to take them out on dates. Kind of ruins the fun if I can't strike a conversation with them.

Now, I know this is going to be a bit silly, and maybe a bit damning. After all, I'm not just any furry, I like the kinky stuff, too. So you know I'm not exactly a big fan of the scaremongering with the payment processors and the fact that we're going to be using our drivers license with our state ids with a myriad of websites.

Not exactly anybody standing up for porn at the moment. I don't disagree with that. Pornography isn't something like feeding the hungry and teaching the young. It isn't giving rights to voice actors so that ai doesn't copy their goddamn voices or protecting authors' rights to their books from being used to train ai.

And I don't intend to be Cyrano De Bergerac here, even if I look like him a little bit.

But I am going to borrow a little something of his that means a lot to me.

It means every inch of me, every inch that they could take but one.

I’m not a big fan of ai in general, but if you’re going to honor someone’s sacrifice on Memorial Day, a personal, handmade touch wouldn’t be so bad.

Write a poem, a small story, get out old photos that were taken with a disposable camera in the 90s, get out your photographs from the oldies from the civil war, pull out a video that was recorded on tape in 2004, visit your uncle who gave his legs and is getting on in years.

Honor the dead, honor the fallen, honor the soldiers who died to protect this country.

Using ai prompts to generate text and pictures for this seems a little inauthentic.

I have listened to OK Computer repeatedly over the last few weeks, and i love it dearly as a Radiohead fan, but i still think Kid A and Amnesiac are their best albums.

OK Computer has a nice spooky quality, one that cycles and speaks to a spirit of alternative rock that i think was needed, but evidently, Thom Yorke and his band didn’t think its message wasn’t strong enough.

Warnings of modern stress and sadism, it’s gentle touch of cynism, and a complete rewrite of the ending of Romeo and Juliet (which i relate to because i still think Leadpool should have run off with Crowfeather, because who the hell thinks it’s a good idea to control people’s lives, and who they love, like that), all fell to the wayside as people kept calling it the biggest left turn in music history.

Thom Yorke must have not thought so, because touring that album absolutely shredded his spirit. When he came back to songwriting, he and his band decided to skip the meat and gristle and go straight for the throat.

Kid A is super intense, dynamically driven, and politically charged. It takes light criticism of the government from the first album and turns it into a dagger. No Surprises turns into “we are not scaremongering, this is really happening”. The vague street signs and stick figure on those signs swerves sharply into a genetically modified bear who is sapient, intelligent, deeply materialistic, and becomes a monster, and even after that there are people willing to defend the bears’ lives, even as their creators demand their return.

Because amnesiac is created during the same period, it shares the same criticism. I do not wish harm on anybody, but “You and Whose army” is a naked attempt to call out those in power and prepare to meet their subjects, because they’re not happy.

Both albums are deeply cynical, angst-driven, unapologetic, and for me, it’s the kind of music that i need the most right now. When I’m whispering things like “I’m not here, this isn’t happening” to myself because I’m afraid my parents arguing in the other room in the house cannot reconcile with what’s happening with politics on the United States, that is extremely not a good thing.

But everything else i listen to feels like a lie. What can i do when the pretty lace of OK Computer is burnt in the forest fire created by Kid A and Amnesiac? The fire feels more real to me.

yay, got to the 8/13/1975 peanuts strip, the first appearance of spike, snoopy's brother, thin as a board! I like how they make his whiskers look like a mustache, it was actually very clever.

If you're a furry like me, and you like snoopy, seeing his brothers and sisters gradually appearing will tickle your fancy. :3

Y'all, i've been seeing pics of Thom Yorke's new hair, and seeing everybody freak out about it, and I just wanna say something.

The reason why Kid A Mnesia Motion Picture House didn't get a lot of exposure is because it's an exclusive album revisiting using the engine from the video game exhibition, placed in a physical location in Coachella, one of the most expensive venues to get tickets, and we don't even know if it's going to be coming to other cities than the stated 4.

Thom Yorke, himself, on the other hand, is free. People take pictures and go "'ang about, there's a thing a little way off 'bout this lad' then post the pictures on the internet where the reddit then goes nuts.

Wowbagger the Infinitely-Prolonged hates Sundays.

Arthur Dent isn’t always the biggest fan of Thursday.

Charlie Brown likes all days of the week, I’m just not so sure they like him.

Everybody seems to like Wednesday the most.

Yay! 7/12/1965 is the first appearance of Snoopy's typewriter, and his first and so far only piece of communication with his human friends!

As a writer, I was waiting for this strip with all my heart!

Oh, and lookie, the following strip actually had him being paid $50 dollars for it, too. Neato!

Just that he kept writing the same story over and over again lol.

Hi, i'm back in FFXIV again. I don't know if I'm going to stay this time (i'm mostly here for mogtomes) but I was able to retrieve my old keybinds and gui from my previous computer, and I'm kinda jazzed about that. Having fun at least getting back into the swing of things, especially with my new workstation setup.

Decided to go for a summer look this year, thanks to the new mogtome event. I was gonna make a My Chemical Romance joke, but I actually kind of dig this look, lol.

The new haircut also seems to have feathered tassels.

So the December 19 1964 comic of Peanuts has Snoopy squawking like a parrot and saying "Pieces of Eight, Pieces of Eight."

One small problem though.

It's the fact that he says it, and not just thought bubbles it.

Can Snoopy, in fact, speak after all? 👀

Of course, he could just be thinking it, the squawks indicate a sound projection while the words don't have the same marks, but then again, it's not exactly like deciphering hieroglyphics, is it?

I'm just sayin'!

y'know, all jokes aside, Peanuts and Hitchhiker's have a lot in common, no less than Linus' blanket and the towel. I appreciate these two creators were thinking along the same lines, because I'm pretty sure they would have enjoyed each other's company.

It's a sunday strip of the first technical appearance of plantigrade snoopy. Charles Schulz has gotten really good up to this point at drawing snoopy as a quadruped with digitigrade legs, and far and away from his bug-in-a-rug appearances from the beginning of the 1950s, 1956 see's Snoopy at his most elongated, lol.

As he slides off of the piano, however, Charles seems to have changed Snoopy's legs for just a brief moment, and he draws his legs with a very straight-and-narrow leg shape, familiair to plantigrade stance.

Update: Yeah, i was right, the very next volume (1957-1958 Fantagraphics) has plantigrade stance Snoopy right on the cover, and assuming his more familiar form almost an entire year after, too.

I love snoopy in all his forms, but cute smol Snoopy and lanky, longo Snoopy will always be my favorites, lol.

Update 2: Ah, so It's Charlie Brown himself that teaches Snoopy to walk plantigrade, who'd have thought?
