Toxic

Living with a toxic family member is all I can take sometimes. I dream of cutting this individual off when I am able to so-called "gain my freedom" and live on my own - live independently again. I'm not a child. I'm a grown adult who has had full-time jobs & lived on my own before. A college graduate. I rather not get into the reasons at this moment why I live at home temporarily, but I may at a later point.

At many moments when I should feel happy, and I do, this person brings me down because of their negativity and toxicity. This person is what is referred to as a "psychic vampire." I have tried to work things out with this person SO MANY FVCKIN' times it's not even funny. And sometimes, yes, I'm to blame. I'm not blameless in all of this. I'm no angel. However, I feel this person has given up, or at least s/he had at one point. S/he is more willing to at this point to work through things, but they are REALLYYYYY trying me lately. I just go outside sometimes & scream. Thank God I have the car to borrow to go take a drive, get a drink (non-alcoholic), and go somewhere to clear my mind or distract myself. That's what I need.
