Cool. okay - so hey guys! I’m debating coming back on here pretty heavily. School’s been bogging me down and I haven’t been working on my art as much as I hoped to, so getting back in the RP scene is, as usual, pretty much up in the air. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO FIND ME OUTSIDE OF RP, THOUGH, my art blog is @20joules but I am more active on TWITTER under the same handle. 

That said! I did delete all of my icons from years past, so even if I did want to come back I’d have to take the time and rebuild my collection. Anyway, I just missed a bunch of everybody on here and wanted to at least extend alternative ways of reaching me should anyone have actually missed me. See you on the flipside, and hopefully I come back here soon!

   The laughter that follows his words is a hearty one, though humble it may be;     He ducks his head, just out of the stairwell light’s limited way, no doubt hiding     an embarrassed flush his neighbor and best friend will never cease teasing him     for. He clears his throat, stretching one leg across a few steps and folding one     so that he may rest his chin atop it, and the smile on his face is nothing if not     sheepish. What had he thought? That there was subtlety and secrecy to be      had? True it was that he was shameless - shameless AND unyielding - with     his soft, passionate affection for the curl-crowned Courfeyrac. 

    But such is the affliction of foolish, childish love; One cannot help but act      in ridiculousness! He who is infatuated with another is a fool - Dancing     around in everlasting joy and cheer, eyes filled with light and life and love,     so much so that it is almost infectious. He grins, looking up at his ever     present, ever teasing confidante; No more secrecy, no more silliness.

re: @xnjolras‘s recent treatment by anonymous users about whitewashing;

i love that there are people who love policing others, usually people of color, about the topic of whitewashing. you guys just LOVE getting on throats as soon as a PoC actor’s skin color is edited to be even a fraction of a shade lighter and calling it whitewashing - and you know! maybe it is. but maybe that’s also just an effect of the fucking PSD, or maybe it’s irrelevant because people are going to still look up the actor and find out they’re not white. contrary to popular belief, lighter skin is not the immediate and only signifier of someone of white descent.

you want to make an effort on policing the act of whitewashing? act on the fucking petitions against whitewashing PoC roles in stories in movies. act on the fucking idea of diversity and calling for more races on screen, in text, etc. maybe! maybe tumblr graphic edits aren’t the big fucking problem! maybe it’s the fact that there’s such a limited representation of what is white and what is not white that your perception and understanding of it is so small that you think if some established PoC’s skin was edited to just be a little lighter, they’re suddenly white. 

stop acting like the biggest problem about whitewashing is people making skintones lighter. its a problem, yeah, but it’s not so fucking important that you need to hide behind a grey face and tell people how to edit their icons. icons. of all fucking things.

   He laughs the word, breathless and grinning, as he shrugs off the other man’s     ever affectionate arm around his shoulders. Marius turns to Courfeyrac, his eyes    perhaps a little more starry then they were normally, and shakes his head. Words    mean to come out of his lips, but none do. Instead, he simply smiles, speaking    through gazes meant for those more than just friends. 

   How blessed is he, this starstruck, this brand new libertine, to have acquired the    companionship of the beloved Courfeyrac. How blessed, that the other man has    offered counsel, friendship, and a share of his own bed ( a fact he never seems to    let Marius live down ). Here is a man who has been nothing but joy and kindness    to the star flooded soul, despite the teasing and the bullying.

   Exhaustion was displayed on his person, shoulders dragging and eyes begging to    close; The candle, burned only halfway, whispered how much time he had left until     the embrace of dark - and so, the embrace of sleep. That the boy denies himself the    comfort of rest spoke only for his stubbornness -- One might ask, why? And he, with    a tired smile, will reply with - Well, why not? 

   The library was a comfortably quiet place this time of night. It was, to the polyglot, a    suitable escape for his late night studies and obsessions. The massive halls built by    shelves upon shelves of books were only dimly lit by the singular candle by his side,    a candle that, with every flicker, asked him to sleep. But passions for languages     burned brighter than the small flame, and Marius found himself reciting old Italian    verses to himself, never hearing the incoming footsteps of a knowing -- QUEEN..
