November mood.

Dua bulan lagi tahun baru aye!

Bawaannya ngomong gini terus, pengen tahun ini cepet selese.             maybe, because i’m not doing really well this year.

Well yeah i made my first short yang sejenis diniatkan dari lubuk hati yang terdalam. love the result but yea, still thinking it can be better if i got the time. #forevertidakpuas

Trus 3 muses leaving.... i cant with this group.... just cant. although they have better opportunity when they leave that shitty company that only promote the pretty bareface girl. (FGS). the cat-lady just make her own company which is awesome, and the real center girl  just assign herself into this great company that gives her better job. like she just have a great photoshoot for this brand, and a couple of drama gig. well the other one still hoeing around enjoying her life. until that nose job wear off and she needs to find a daddy, or probably being another jaypark bitch just like her friend 

Terus banyak berita ga baik tahun ini. ntahlah. gue mulai merasa ga nyaman dinegara gue sendiri because of some people. dari awal tahun ini malah ga ada berita yang enakin. Pengen cepet cepet lulus aja trus kumpulin duit dan pindah *sigh*

And this thing with being too awkward really (not) help my “too comfortable being alone issue”.

well it could be worse. but we still got another two month to make everything worse.

anyway i’m going to post daily or weekly if i can starting next week. 

let’s see how long will it takes for me to give up and just sleeping in my bed all day.

Weekly Appreciation #1

Earlier this year i created this tumblr as a platform to help me to write better since my wirting skill is like bad... like really bad meaning bad. After 5 months of using this platform, i feel like i dont write enough post. the reason? i have no idea what to write. lol,

Maka dari itu... i’m thinking to write weekly post which talk about things i stumble upon around the internet. or my life in general lol

This week is pretty awesome for me. because of my favorite band just release their latest single with a reggae feel and the music video is aesthetic af! 

I love the tone of the video, the 80s(70s?) feel of what they’re aiming for perfectly executed. I like how they don’t abuse the ‘‘fade’’ filter unlike most of k-group who’s tryin to go for a sad-artsy feeling. 

So far i’m impressed. They keep bringing their A-game eversince the long hiatus and give us a great album. the other song is great too. “Sweet and easy” is pretty commercial than the title track. While “to the beautiful you” give me the tame impala early age vibe. Love it.

Yeeun is so kinky that the next hat:felt album could be s&m theme.

Anyway seventeen release their song to this week.

Song is decent. i like this better than their latest comeback. MV is pretty good.

day 11.

In my country this month pretty much the religious/ the holy/ the forgive-me-allah-for-i-have-sinned month. Thanks to Ramadhan. Veil are out, people do more good deeds, most of masjid fill up with moslems pray together whether it’s fardh or Sunnah. It’s pretty much month that most moslems love. But I have a different tradition when it comes to Ramadhan. It’s the month where I can watch most good scary movie.

Yes, I’m  fucking coward lol

Well this year I start it with the only horror movie saga from hollywod that got me scream and close my eyes for the entire movie, The Conjuring saga. The first one got me really scared that I even sleep with light on for weeks because of it…. So when I heard that Warner green-lit the sequel I’m all pscyh.

And the sequel is pretty good.

It still tell us the story about the warren couple and of their most dangerous work, but with different ghost. While on the first one we got batsheba, on the second one we got the creepy pale  nun with a non-waterproof make up called valak.

Which is not what he should’ve look like….

Anyway, the movie still makes me scared-af. It still deliver the wan-camera-movement and the sound production is just really good. The way he built tension on the mommy-there-someone-on-my-tent scene and the tell-me-your-name scene. Those scene is scarier than any ABCs of the death segment. Heck it’s even make the ring looks like a horror for toddler.

But.

It still has a “meh” ending. It feels like he  doesn’t know what’s a good way to end the movie. So it just scared you on the first half of the movie and the rest just.. ok.This is not the first time I feel like wan give us an ending like this. The first conjuring does this too, so does the insidious saga (except the third, since I’m not interested to watch it. Lol).

It still better than most of Hollywood horror tho.

So ya. I do recommend it if you’re looking for a good horror movie with a dumb protagonist character.

Civil War is a meh tbh.

Ah... yes i hate marvel now, the cinema one, not the netflix one or the comic. i hate how disney ruin them. I hate how they make the serious and more mature material into a joke. a really bad one. :|

I’m just gonna list what’s awful and what’s not because tbh i’m not interested to make a post about a movie that makes me check out my phone every 10 minutes but um... i need to post something tho wq. :

Awful score. It does nothing to the scene, it doesn’t elevate anything. it fell flat.

The reason of the bucky hunting is ridiculous as fuck, especially how SHIELD actually invent that mask. ( and use it in CA:WS as a cover up :|)

Stupid joke, stupid one line joke everywhere. eugh!

I feel like most of the time marvel just make up everything, and making it sounds believable so the movie could have the threesome battle.

I never know a movie could make their main character so unlikeable, especially the one with their name on the title.

But...

They did well with the backstory of civil war.... so yea.

P.S. Marvel should just make Lang X Parker movie instead of this disaster. #TeamArthropoda

i dont remember the last time kpop could be this dramatic, and the theme of this mv is awesome af. like all the circular movement and cg and floating things like fuckin awesome. maybe this could be their “Paradise”.

P.S. can jisoo just be bisexual instead of gay? so i can date her, i could do sex-change-surgery so i can be with her tho...  but it’s too expensive so... ya. lol.

LSF Kang POTONG(an) Pelm

LSF suck af. 

Like really suck, like really really awful af.

From Deadpool pegging scene, SPY dicks joke bahkan sampe yang kaya lovely man juga kena sensor. But..umm aren’t people already know how awful the constitution is, No?

Beberapa minggu yang lalu, ada berita soal LSF yang mengharuskan seluruh film yang diputar di ruang pemutaran alternatif untuk  mendapatkan surat tanda lulus sensor (STLS). Nah film yang diputer di ruang alternatif  itu juga bukan yang berbudget besar doang yang harus kena tapi film berbudget kecil yang modalnya ga nyampe Rp. 10.000 pun juga harus punya STLS. Gimana reaksi orang orang yang suka menonton ataupun muter dilayar alternatif? Not so good. Semua orang bener-bener kontra sama omongan LSF. Bahkan masalahnya mulai diomongin diluar sosial media, dari diskusi antar orang komunitas, masuk berita ditv bahkan sampe jadi salah satu “acara utama” di tempat kumpul komunitas yang ngundang orang MPR(/DPR?) dengan bahasan “perlu ga sih LSF buat kita pak?”.

Nah potongan ini sejenis pas gitu deh rilisnya, pas isunya lagi anget banget dan lagi enak enaknya dicerna gitu. Isi filmnya tentang gimana ribetnya proses untuk ngedapetin STLS buat “babi buta ingin terbang”. Dari yang ngurusnya berminggu-minggu, terus disuruh “beli” formlah, udah nungguin berminggu minggu juga akhirnya ditolak dengan alasan alasan yang agak “unik”.

Disini juga diceritain kalau pas tahun 2007, MFI pernah minta DPR dan Presiden untuk tinjau kembali soal UU perfilman. Terus gimana? Ya kalah telak.

Selama filmnya diputer juga kita disuguhkan potongan potongan yang menurut LSF itu harus disensor, bukan cuma potongan dari “babi terbang” tapi juga dari senyap. Selama gue nonton potongan itu gue jadi kefikiran gitu “kok beginian disensor?”. Ada salah satu scene interview disenyap yang kalua menurut LSF harus dipotong, padahal itu ga ada titit nyembul, pentil keliatan ataupun darah. Cuma wawancara jujur antar adik korban sama salah satu pembunuh.

Betewe filmnya ga bosenin buat dokumenter, gue aja yang ga suka dokumenter ga ketiduran. 

Tapi orang sebelah gue ketiduran sih....lol

Ya dengan dirilisnya film ini semoga yang nonton ga cuma orang komunitas atau yang suka nonton film ya, semoga filmnya jadi bahasan tontonan orang-orang umum. Mungkin kalau semua orang tau seberapa busuknya LSF, mungkin film ga bakal jadi satu-satunya bentuk seni yang kena sensor lagi di Indonesia.

Breakable. Damn It!

Jadi, in the spirit of being productive af gue mustusin buat nonton tv-show” yang udah gue planning buat tonton dari jaman jebot tapi tidak sempat sempat karena kehidupan yang memaksa ini :”)

Salah satunya itu Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

This show tells a story about kimmy scmidht, an ex-member of religion cult. Semenjak smp kelas 8 dia tinggal di dalam bunker bawah tanah karena bumi udah kiamat (katanya). Nah setelah 15 tahun di bunker, akhirnya ditemuinlah dia sama pemerintah dan dikeluarin. Hal ini tuh kaya berita yang gede banget bahkan dia sampe dapet duit dari fund yang dibuat untuk para mole woman ini. Eversince she finds the light (get it?), Kimmy mutusin buat pindah ke new York, sendirian, tanpa ada orang yang dikenal, dan tau kemajuan apa aja selama 15 tahun terakhir.

Unbreakable ini lumayan (diawal-awal). Karakternya yang over the top dan tipikal kaya titus (African-american gay yang cara ngomongnya sangat sassy), New York housewife yang di tinggal suami kerja dan Cuma mentingin duit yang tinggal bareng step children dia sampe a single(/widow?) Yang well, eksentrik. 

A bit un-original isn’t it? Gue bahkan ngira klo ini itu spin offnya dari odd mom out dan jacqueline ini temen kakak iparnya si jill. lol

Anyway, series kaya sejenis ini itu sejujurnya banyaaaak banget. Ya kaya odd mom out. Dimana karakter over the top dan begonya bakal bikin ketawa… 

..Cuma ya ga tahan lama.

Sejak episode kimmy ikut spin class gue udah mulai ga ketawa selama keseluruhan episode. Ya karena itu, bosenin dan malah bikin kesel aja sih ngeliat karakternya. It’s too over the top. Like too much. Gue bahkan jadi ga tertarik buat lanjut nonton season 2, padahal habis selese pilot gue udah langsung download seluruh episodenya. Kimmy juga ga bikin gue merasa simpati lagi sama karakternya, where on the pilot kimmy were portray as such a sweet girl but on the last 5 Episode I’m slowly hating her character. 

The best thing about this show probably xanapathi character just because she’s the only normal one. 

Anyway, despite the decline in humor and story. The cast did really good well on the acting department. Like really well that i hate kimmy’s father for being too dumb and aren’t funny at all.

let’s just hope netflix cancel this show and renew happy ending or the b**** from apartment 23. because those show is way better than this.

Losing at Checkers

Have you ever imagine being an orphan so you have to live with an aunt who doesn’t really like you and your brother being there and to making it even worse your brother must submit himself to a (corrupt) military draft so the chance of you not joining the military is really low?

that what happen to oat and ek.

josh kim finally make his full version of “draft days” in the form of “how to win at checkers”. the story of ek who need to submit his military service despite of his situation of not having parents and still need to support his brother. the concept of military service itself is different than the other country with the same system. in thailand, the system is like a lottery where the submitter will serve in military if he pulled out a red ball and he dont need to stay if it’s black. luck do play role in here but the most important one is social status. the one who has a higher place (read: rich people) can buy their way out so that they dont have to serve in the service. josh show us in the movie how junior can who pay his way out will be push on the last queue with the other rich people and surprisingly they will pulled the black ball.

josh making it even more better with making the character of ek to be gay and have a white-rich boyfriend where their relationship always seen doubtful by ek’s aunt. his aunt show it through out the movie how he doesn’t really like jai because of his status and keep telling him their relationship won’t work especially after her finding of jai’s popper in ek’s room.

throughout the movie, we’re shown how close the relationship between oat and ek. the burger scene, the checkers scene and when ek bring his minor brother to where he works is just some of them. josh did very well telling their story and show how good their bond is. the best scene to potray how sweet their bond is probbly when ek teach oat how to ride bike. it shows how ek finally trust oat and see him as more than a kid.

there are plenty of other scene that affect me in an emotional way. for instance the scene when oat finds out what’s the result of what he did to ek’s life. i was shock when i see the scene because how josh bringing the story in beginning, sweet and romantic where the only thing that ruin their life is the military draft.

the visual is so pretty, like really pretty. maybe because i’m a sucker when it comes to pretty-fade filter, but it does bring the movie to be more enjoyable.

BvS

Finally it was release in my country YAY!

sejenis sangat ga sabar gitu karna trailernya bagus parah dari kemaren kemaren jadi kaya yang ekspektaksi sangat tinggi. apalagi zack yang bikin, so i know it will be awesome >.<

*ceritanya habis nonton gitu*

filmnya bagus, babang affleck keceparah jadi batman and gal gadot is soooooooooooooo freakin hot. like everytime WW got screentime it looks awesome. *senang*

zack juga kaya niat banget bikin ini, it’s visually stunning klo kata dedek” pretentious yang mau keliatan ngerti film. 

and he did a great job in developing superman character tbh. seeing how superman is like a “human”. superman ga di bikin langsung jago dan bisa kontrol kekuatannya, tapi dibikin event man of steel dulu trus di bvs gimana superman itu pro dan kontranya tinggi (just like bvs in public eyes). and the potrayal of lex is soooo what will happen if he live in our era, ga stiff dan kaku tapi genius, evil, quirky, powerful and have a god complex.

coming from someone who love MoS, this is what i expect from bvs. despite the awful logic of the story, like in some scene things are a bit too easy just for the sake of story continuation.

but i like it, i probably gonna watch it again.... if i had the money hahahaha. tiket 21 mahal amit amit ih sekarang :”)

Christopher Nolan Set the Bar Too High | Joel Amat Güell

It’s fair to assume that most of the movies with the biggest budgets of the last decade has been superhero movies. I’m not a big comic reader (and the few I’ve read aren’t American comics) but I’m familiar with most of the Marvel and DC characters that have had movies these past years.

Obviously these comic adaptions are nothing new, but in my opinion it was Christopher Nolan with his Batman saga and the first Iron Man movie that led the way for all the other comic adaptions.

What made those movies a referent is that they made the comic characters human. There was obviously a lot of fiction in them, but they made the characters so human that, somehow, the fictional places, top technology, and such didn’t make the scale to be decanted to fiction and were, mostly, dramas.

Personally, The Dark Knight was some sort of masterpiece to me. Nolan was able to make every movie bigger, but without having them all seem too overwhelming. He did not sell out and found a perfect balance between art and blockbuster. And so did Iron Man.

But after that, Hollywood saw what worked and simply tried to copy the formula… but with a couple flaws.

They make a comic adaptation and if it works, the sequel is the same, but bigger. The main character (or one of the main characters) is about to die, but they don’t because they need the character to make more movies and make more money. Other characters die, but not really, because they resurrect in a new movie because the fans love them. They don’t even kill the bad guy because he’s too handsome and has to appear in the next movie too. We get more superheroes in each sequel because 12 wasn’t enough. Sometimes the main character sacrifices himself and is willing to die for that bigger cause… but they don’t die, because, well, there ‘needs’ to be a sequel.

Weekend (2011)

so happy i finally got to watch it!

dulu banget gue tau andrew haigh itu gegara Looking. iya lookingnya HBO, yang sekarang tiba tiba di-cancel despite the awesome story, pretty cinematography, great dialogue and fuckin romantic story between tovey and that guy who use to fuck rachel from glee. anyway, pas looking release ekspetasi gue ga tinggi, karna dulu gue sendiri emang ga pernah nonton karyanya haigh but.... those who already watched weekend is so excited like the show could be the next it series from HBO. jadi ya akhirnya gue nonton lah dan well it’s good and it’s becoming one of my favorite show from 2014. 

nah after i got the news about the cancellation of looking and HBO giving a special film as to give a closure about the character, most of the comment in the news article are like “ah i wish it would be like weekend” “ah i’m fine with the show being canceled, it’s not that its ‘weekend’ anyway” etc. kepolah gue dan akhirnya gue nontonlah.

IT IS FUCKING GOOD

Everything about weekend reminds me of looking. from the way the camera move, the editing, the color, the story, to the dialogue BUT IT’S  BETTER. the story itself tells about a guy name russell, a hopeless romantic guy who’s looking for something more than a dick and glen, an artist who doesn’t believe in love because of his past. they met in a club and the next morning naked in his apartment with russell hoping something more despite glen only wanna have sex because of his art project. 

i love how haigh can shows the awkwardness of russell character as someone who’s still not comfortable with how society only talks about sex instead of love, how fingering is better than getting to know your date, how your achievement in sex is something for you to advertise it in public. a sarcastic take to our current generation dimana app kaya tinder berjaya, one night stand bukan something taboo and bla bla bla. terus si glen yang ngerasa kaya misfits di uk sendiri, ngerasa dia ga berkembang apalagi dengan cara temen temennya yang ga supportive sama pilihan hidup dia. haigh bisa bikin weekend jadi relatable sama penonton yang nonton and he doesn’t make the story sound like some cheap ftv from sctv yang di edit dan ditake ala sundance movie cuma biar bikin filmnya keliatan “mahal”. dialog antara si russell sama glen juga dapet banget, mereka bener bener kaya ngobrol di kehidupan sehari hari aja dengan bahasan mantan, mimpi, kerjaan dan coming out story mereka, jadi kaya berasa nonton film dokumenter karna ga berasa dibuat buatnya.

TL:DR. haigh delivered a great romantic love story without making it over the top and show us the struggle of looking for someone to be with in a generation that glorify sex.

nah rencananya gue bakal naro beberapa hal yang emang related sama gue dan ga mungkin gue post ditempat lain, ntah itu some film/music review, any picture or video that i took or couple of things that i’m planning to do (if i got the time wq) or i probably just rant about things that i find a bit dumb.
