really love imagining a bunch a kids and teens on their pokemon journeys staying the night on the couches and floors in the lobbies of pokemon centers, having long talks about their experiences and feelings sharing funny and scary stories and myths about legendaries and trading items and sharing TMs along with sugary snacks and pokedex chargers all while their pokemon are out of their pokeballs and all bundled up in blankets sleeping soundly next to their trainers while they stare up at the stars shining through the glass ceiling over their heads

Democrats have been talking about Project 2025 for ages, in explicit detail, at every level of the government. Biden and Harris along with state governors and senators and representatives have been talking about Project 2025. Local Democrats have been talking about it; if you watch even slightly liberal and left-leaning news at all, you'd have seen countless representatives for state and local Democrat groups talking about efforts to stop Project 2025 long before the election.

But to be frank, the vast majority of the leftists complaining that Dems never do anything. . . don't watch the news. Or they only read opinion pieces from extremist "journalists" who just talk about conflicts in other countries in racist and fetishizing ways.

Democrats aren't quiet about the work they're doing and the battles they're fighting. Maybe you think it's not enough or that it's too little too late, but if you genuinely think that they're not doing anything and that they're not fighting, then that's only because you're not listening.

there’s a specific type of person whose idea of activism is simply “How Can I Raise Everyone’s Blood Pressure.” that is their singular goal, no other.

it’s why they spent all of last year scoffing when we said that Project 2025 was evil & had to be stopped at any cost. it’s why they always say that the grinding slow painstaking work of incremental progress — which actually makes life better for people & lowers our collective blood pressure, metaphorically AND literally — is worthless, but constantly glorify their perma-fictional revolution.

a lot of people were very angry with Democrats & felt very strongly that no Democratic policy was worth protecting; nothing was sufficient reason to keep Republicans out of power & stop Project 2025. I’m not interested in arguing with anybody: if that’s how you feel, fine. we are all entitled to our own moral judgment; we all have to live with ourselves.

but if you made that argument in good faith, you cannot start screaming about Project 2025 on Jan 20, 2025. you cannot LIE about what other people were doing, and continue to do.

it is not mere ignorance. it is deliberate bad faith trolling. this is the work of people who want to exhaust you and raise your blood pressure, people who go out of their way to make all of our lives worse SOLELY so they can feel important while screaming at you, scaring you, and blaming you.
