This confession made Ravio’s heart soar. Link was happy to see him again. All was right with the world. he hugged the hero even tighter, thankful that this had come to pass. He’d felt safest with Link, so, naturally, he wanted to be with him. He’d missed this proximity.
"I love you, Link," he said what he thought was inaudible to Link, as he nuzzled into him again. Truth be told, he was trying desperately to pluck up the courage to say anything. He said this as reassurance to himself. He was going to say something, but then he was fighting against himself and the quiet wondering whether Link returned the feelings. If Link had heard that remark, then it was possible that Ravio would find out sooner than he thought he would.

Did he forget to clean the gunk from his ears that morning? If Link heard the other correctly, Ravio said something along the lines of, well... love? Stunned, the blond tensed and tightened his grip, unsure of how to respond.
❝ R-...Ravio? What did... what...? ❞
But... what kind of love? Friendly? Brotherly? ...Goddesses forbid anything romantic! He surely didn't mean that, right? Link wasn't the type to fall for, he just came and went after all. Then again, this was Ravio -- the plucky merchant who stole Link's house right under his nose and proceeded to sleep in his bed more times than Link could count.
All right, maybe Link held something for the merchant. Maybe he liked having the other lay with him in bed during storms. Maybe he liked the warm meals and the hugs every time he returned home. ...Ah, shoot -- there was something and Link didn't know how else to approach it but in the bluntest way possible.
❝ A-are you sure? You're not j-just saying that? Ma s-says not to th-throw the "l-word" everywhere. ❞
