And If It Takes Forever, Forever It’ll Be (A Short Jagoras Fic)

Me: *comes back six months later with a totally unrelated one-shot for a little known BBC show that was cancelled in 2014*

My beautiful, amazing, long-suffering readers: *eye twitching* aaaaalllllll the time you need.

Because it’s their birthday, and also because they’re to blame for getting me into this stupid show, I dedicate this to @kieren-fucking-walker <3<3<3 and uuhhhh whatever’s left of the Atlantis fandom I guess, if ya still alive holler!!!

This takes place immediately post-2.02, and could also be titled ‘Jason finally gets tucked into bed and looked after ASMR’, feat. some relationship philosophy. I don’t write this to bash/ignore canon ships like Pythagoras/Icarus or more relevantly Jason/Ariadne, but I have Headcanons of my own and this is based on ‘em! To sum up: Ariadne and Jason are both waiting on gay awakenings, love each other in a devoted but not necessarily passionate/romantic way, Jason’s actually super duper in love with Pythagoras but has never considered the possibility of feeling that way for another guy before (not ‘cause homophobia, he’s just dense as hell), and Pythagoras is a patient experienced gay waiting Jason to figure this out for himself but if he pulls big enough puppy dog eyes he might just lend him a hand. Kind of more pre-slash/one-sided here, but very cute nonetheless <333

Though obviously, this has nothing to do with his actual character. Still, as much as as we love him for the sweet cinammon roll he is, I wish the show had the chance to explore his darker side in future seasons. Robert Emms is such a phenomenal actor, I’m sure he’d have rocked dark!Pythagoras just as much as Jack Donnelly rocked dark!Jason this year.

But thank god that fandom exists. I want to use this opportunity to rec the hell out of jennistarjs‘s absolutely brilliant series Like Calls To Like, which not oly features thrillingly written dark!Pythagoras that is still really close to his canon characterisation, but also succeded in making me fall in love with the Pythamon (Telemon/Pythacarus) pairing. Seriously, guys, read it. 19k, completed, Pythamon & Jagoras. You won’t regret it. ;)

This Monday, June 1st through Sunday, June 7th is #SaveAtlantis Week! A whole week to show your love and appreciation for Atlantis, and let the BBC know we still want more!

This means, on the appropriate days, take to twitter and tumblr to post the following:

Monday: Favourite Character Tuesday: Favourite Ship Wednesday: Favourite Series 1 moment Thursday: Favourite Series 2 moment Friday: Cast moments (can be pictures, interviews, tweets, etc.) Saturday: Wings for Atlantis: Make a set of Icarus wings on a piece of paper and write on it why you want to #SaveAtlantis! Make a big set of wings or many little ones! Take pictures and show us your handiwork!  Sunday: Post a selfie with your #SaveAtlantis sign! For twitter, tag your tweets with #SaveAtlantis. For tumblr, tag your posts with ‘save atlantis’.

When posting, it might be helpful to add a link to our petition!

As Icarus flew on handmade wings to save our heroes, we want to send BBC our own paper wings decorated with reasons why we love Atlantis! Here’s how to make your own set of Icarus wings.

Note: The reason we are making paper wings and not sending feathers is that some people are quite allergic to feathers. We want to get BBC’s attention, but not by risking someone’s well-being. Please do not include feathers when decorating.

To Colchis (Part I + II)

So I have this headcanon that when the group is sailing to Colchis, Icarus and Pythagoras have a little talk about about the shift in their relationship and everything that happened before. Icarus is still feeling guilty about his betrayal, but with his awesome persuasion skills Pythagoras eventually convinces him that triangles are the coolest thing and that they’re going to be okay. 

(The conveniently romantic sunset just happens to be there.)
