i have a problem with duang with you's nc scenes. now wait hear me out first, this is in no way with respect to the actors or the script, this is with respect to the camera angles and just the overall direction of it.

in the ep 7 nc scene, the overall scene is fine but the background music is absolutely jarring and it feels like someone's screeching into my ears, and the pacing is so weird it goes slow then fast all of a sudden it was tough to enjoy it properly

then with the ep 9 nc scene, i mostly have no qualms with this one except for the bgm (again!) the bgm switches quickly between 3 songs really ruining the continuity of the scene for me. if you're gonna change the bgm atleast keep them similar or something which fits well, just 3 random bgms mixed up together really didn't help

then with the ep 12 nc scene, i have a lot of qualms with this one. the camera changing was annoying as hell, at first it was a still from the side which sort of zoomed in then they got a moving camera out of nowhere, and then duang is moving slow but out of nowhere the pace becomes 2x before going to normal again. the bgm for this was mostly okay but the camera angles? it's like they're gatekeeping the scene from right in front of us. now i understand using camera angles so the actors aren't uncomfortable but there are scenes where you can clearly see them kissing but it's hidden by the angle of the camera or just blurred out.

i love duang with you and i think it is definitely one of the best (if not the best) bls of 2026. the overall direction of the series itself was pretty good but for some reason the nc scenes always felt lacking in that aspect. this is no hate towards the director/cinematogropher but just my opinion as a viewer on how it felt while watching

at first, i was like hmm sounds aespa like but not that great, then i was like zip. i don't care. genuinely a banger from aespa keeps me alive not even kidding

saving the best for the last. now tobii has put out sexy bangers all the time (bad girls like you, hotel lobby, tap tap) but this? this is the ultimate. the bangerest of the bangers. i thank the dexx cover for introducing me to this masterpiece. i think tobii will go to great heights. insane song. i can keep talking about it for years.

i know he has 2-3 osts in dwy but im not a fan of ballads so i didn't listen to them outside of what was already in the show but the your sky ost is just a calm peaceful cute song and i just love his voice so much! Recently saw episode 7 and 8 again (through reactions in youtube🙏), and I couldn't stop thinking about that pink teddy bear and Qin's relationship with it.

He acts like it's just a random gift when Duang first sees it but Duang kept on indicating that the bear pissed him off, and Qin kept on putting it back right there on their sofa where Duang sees it everyday.

And then we got the reveal that Qin was using Tiw as a benchmark for Duang. When he said that, I thought he was saying he was comparing Duang's courting with how Tiw did, and that Duang went above and beyond Tiw's, but knowing what Tiw did, it did feel weird for Qin to still do that especially since we know Qin knew Duang before and had fond feelings for him from high school.

After rewatching, I have a slightly different view of what he meant by benchmark.

Tiw was the standard because Qin was using him as a cautionary tale, in that he needed to keep things slow and verify Duang's feelings before letting himself believe completely. The teddy bear was a reminder of how fickle people's feelings were ("another one like this", he said when Duang confessed).

He kept that teddy bear on the couch, where he can see it as soon as he enters his place. He saw that every single day. He got reminded of his closest friend saying he's a black hole who doesn't know how to love every time he went home.

Throwing it away was a gesture for Duang because it was proof that he loved Duang as much as Duang loved him, but it was also a gesture for himself. Duang told him to believe in himself, and that was what he did. He believed for the first time in his ability to love someone back and have them stay by his side.

(I choose you, he said, and it meant he was choosing Duang, but it also meant HE was finally trusting himself to make the choice.)

more details (or sort of writing) that i like about chermchey is the way intha tackles erng's insecurities about not being pretty or petite and how it tackles the trauma that bom's cheating left behind. sure, the show is pretty comedic and generally avoids talking about how erng got cheated on and moved on from that plotline quite quickly but that is not to say it has no effect on erng at all and we see this in his sort of insecurity and desire to be known as pretty and petite and twinkish. we also see this in the way erng likes it when in speaks to him in a feminine manner, like using kha or calling him wifey. on another note, i also liked intha and his little brother's relationship and the little cute details in it like his younger brother being taller than him, or their bickering to their mother and even them using impolite language with each other but switching in front of their mother. rarely have i seen this realistic of a portrayal of brothers in a thai bl. i also like how it shows not just erng's insecurities but also in's insecurities with respect to his interests regarding the amulets and stuff. overall very cute eps i freaking love this show and the novel and the details by the writers.

I love how dwy pays such close attention to details and one of my favourite details is the use of social media to show the progress in duangqin's relationship. Thai BLs have always used social media sure (for eg. the change of relationship status in facebook) but dwy used it in the way our generation uses it which makes it all the more relatable. Duang liking Qin's old post and getting scolded for it, or Qin liking Duang's story to sort of show that all hope is not gone and then Qin tagging Duang on his story to show that they're gonna be in a talking stage now. Finally there's Qin putting the "im all yours" story on his cf. This is how relationships work in our generation and it only makes it all the more relatable.
