I’ve known him since we were children, suffered illness and loss by his side, watching him give his loyalty, his sacrifice, and his love to my mother, to me. So you can just imagine what that was like, asking him to accept what was done to him at the hands of men who look so very much like those he watched murder his parents when he was a boy. You can imagine how tempted I was to take that knife and put it in his hand and let him use it to his liking. You can imagine the restraint it took for me not to let my people loose.
