The end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 were very hard for me. I was getting used to living on my own with no one to rely on. The weather was the worst too. I hated the cold winter, everything was so depressing. The world around me was all gray and dull. The nights were filled with dreams that haunted me till dawn. Day after day, month after month, I was just waiting for it to end.

I had thought of not coming back, but what would I do after that? There’s so much more than money that I have to pay for. I don’t achieve much, but I’m proud of myself for making it through. I felt better starting my second year after being home for a few months. Maybe I just need my family. Maybe I just need to be with people, to distract me from my thoughts when I’m alone.
