A sickie who is, like, really ill, vomiting for the third time already, but really hates to be seen in that state. So he rejects the caretaker heavily.

The caretaker already knows and proceeds to just caring silently, like putting a bucket and a glass of water next to their bed while they are in the bathroom. Bringing just little bits of food in which he knows the sickie can take while being ill. Sneaking in the room while they are sleeping to check on them. Standing behind the closed door and listening to their retching and vomiting, ready to go in if needed.

And when the sickie is better (not fine but a bit better so he moves around the house again but is still weak): Being super watchful around them in case they want to much and need help.

Bonus points if the caretaker catches the bug or whatever after the sickie is better and the sickie starts caring for them in the best way possible.

Character A stuffing themselves to the brim and character B says they’ll regret it, but character A ignores them. Later in the night, character A wakes up a nauseous gurgly mess bc they have bad food poisoning and when they try to go back to sleep, they end up puking in their bed and all over themselves.

What if a character who tends to run on the cooler side gets sick, but when another character feels their forehead/checks for a fever, they don’t feel anything wrong, despite the sick char insisting they feel off…

Cue them pushing through the illness only to collapse from what shouldn’t even be that high of a fever- until you factor in their average temperature is like 2 or 3 degrees lower than what’s considered the standard

Suddenly their friends or team shifts into worried mode bc shit so that means they’re actually way more sick than everyone originally thought

concept: someone who’s sick and nauseous trying their best to get through a visit with well-meaning friends. maybe their friends/caretakers wouldn’t take no for an answer, maybe the sick character was desperate for human interaction and determined to swallow down their queasiness, maybe they were genuinely feeling like they were on the mend until they ate some solid food like five minutes before their friends arrived.

whatever the reason, they’re absolutely embarrassed to have to ask one of their friends to grab a trash can for them, because they’re gonna puke. they try to make light conversation until the nausea hits with full force and they vomit up everything they’d managed to eat. of course, their friends clean up and reassure the sick character that they don’t have to take care of themselves this time.
