Daryan watched Jessica walk into the hallway from the top of the stairs, as she was holding the tiara and blushing. He watched as she placed it on her head and looked in the mirror, her blue-gray eyes widening as she looked at her reflection. He had to admit she looked beautiful wearing it and part of him wanted to see her wearing it with a full dress and not the leggings and old hoodie she was wearing now.
He wanted to walk down to her, everything in him was telling him to do it but instead, he thought he’d wait and watch her a little longer. He had thought about her a lot since she left, she was his best friend after all. Except Gavin used to be his best friend a long time ago and he’d never thought about how nice it would be to lay on opposite sides of the sofa and watch Sharknado with him. He’d never craved closeness like this or wanted peace and quiet. He usually wanted to fuck shit up and play his music as loud as he wanted it.
He walked down the stairs, making sure that he made enough noise so she heard him and jerked his head towards the kitchen door. “We should sit down and talk,” He said, making sure his voice sounded like there was trouble ahead for her, “I think we definitely need to clear somethin’ up.”
She heard his footsteps first and for a moment, she could imagine him creeping up behind her and quietly trying to scare her, but he didn’t. Instead, Daryan nodded towards the kitchen door. “We need to sit down and talk.” She just nodded at him, vaguely aware that she was staring so much that he was becoming slightly blurry as he carried on talking. He couldn’t possibly know, could he? There was no way that he could know that she was starting to develop certain feelings for him. She hadn’t even seen him in three weeks. Unless this was all to do with the tiara that he’d bought her, but she doubted it. He was still blurry when she looked at him and then, for a couple of moments, everything went dark.

Daryan watched her open the box from the kitchen doorway. He watched as her face lit up and then she just started babbling questions at him.
“D’ya need me to answer those in order?” He asked, but she cut him off and surprised him by telling him that she could kiss him.
“I’m just happy ya like it,” He paused for a second to gather his thoughts. He wanted her to like the tiara and he hoped that she would like the ring he’d sent away until the right moment. There was no point being engaged - even if it was supposed to be a joke - without a ring. Especially since the press had got wind of it all and his new manager was sending him wedding ideas and magazines every other day. That might have been why he decided to get her a tiara, but it could easily be joked about for now.
“No point in ya callin’ yourself a queen without a crown. I’ll take your bags up to your room for ya and then we can talk, yeah?”
Jessica watched as Daryan picked up her suitcase and carry-on bag and walked towards the stairs. She was still holding the tiara and she sighed as she placed it back into its box.
She had so many questions, every time that she’d spoken to Daryan recently, he’d seemed to become more invested in their relationship, but it wasn’t real, no matter how much she’d like it to be. Maybe she should kiss him... Clear things up, and actions speak louder than words, they say. She felt the heat rising to her cheeks as she thought about it and tried to shake it off.
She could hear him coming back down the stairs as she walked back to the velvet box, trying to act like she had been looking at the tiara all this time, maybe she should find the nearest mirror and try it on.
She took the tiara and walked into the hallway. There was a mirror just by the front door, of course. Daryan needed somewhere to check his hair before he went out. She placed the tiara on her head and looked at herself. She didn’t really recognise the woman in the mirror. She looked like a fairytale princess and maybe that was why Daryan had bought her this tiara, to make her feel special before he kicked her out of his house or something. She would agree with him about that, of course. He needed to have a life as much as she wanted her fantasy of being with him.

I said we needed to talk because we have a lot to talk about, and I would have rather done it in person than over the internet but here we go, I guess.
I don’t have a lip piercing at all. I was asked if I would consider getting one to get more work by a photographer though, but then he also wanted me to pose in a leather corset and lacy underwear so I didn’t take that advice and resisted my urges to slap him. There was more, but that needs to be a conversation that happens specifically between us or I’ll have to call a lawyer to try to get you off a murder charge.
Yeah, I know it’s been over three weeks. A day over, Dary. Don’t get your knickers in a twist. I just need some time to reconsider a few things… But I’m like the Terminator to you, you know that – Wait, dumb joke. Ignore it.

A leather corset sounds good though, and you’re probably right about the murder charge.

Is the surprise a really big toy shark? Because it should be, I think I deserve that much and I can use it as a body pillow.

I appreciate the sentiment, though, really - but can’t you just be a bit more… normal? I don’t have a better word, but couldn’t you just send me some roses or some shit? Something to make me feel less alone right now while I sort through my options.
And don’t worry about the name thing, it’s okay. You can definitely call me Jessie, I’m just happy that you’re using the right name for me. I didn’t change it for nothing.

There’s no point in you trying to hit someone or sort things out for me, I’ll be fine. Honestly. Besides, if I wanted to press charges against him, I would have but there’s no crime in - as he said “suggesting” something. Anyway, I think he’d have more reason to press charges against me in terms of criminal damage. He tried to grab me as I walked out and I kind of pushed him into his own camera, which broke. Shame, really. It was a nice camera.
But I guess it’s time for me to tell you everything, right? I didn’t just walk off a shoot and get myself blacklisted from working with that guy ever again, I also got fired by the label. Mainly because of this weird media attention around... us. They told me that if I wanted to stay, I couldn’t work with you or be seen with you unless I could pull off six Gavinners tour dates with the original line-up, and that’s never going to happen.
I think I should be back soon, I’m just finishing up some modelling stuff before I come back.
