A Lost Duchess [Zodiakos Open.â]
It was a pleasant greeting, he thought to himself and was indeed glad for it. It was always a refreshing and even comforting experience to be greeted in a familiar manner â it reminded him of home in a way, ah, such nostalgia swept over him and he had been so careless to have been caught up in it. The red prince shook his head free of the memories for the moment, saving the reminiscing for a more private moment. He brought his focus to the question posed, tilting his head in the inclination of his understanding. Isnât that how it always went?
âNo recollection? When I first arrived, neither did I. Ah, my lady, it was strange indeed!â He recounted the moments before his awakening here â thinking back to when he had gone to bed the night before only to find himself waking not in a bed of silk sheets but in a bed of grass, rather. At that time he had been so confused though not necessarily distressed which he was glad to note that the woman in a nobleâs attire very much appeared the same. It was best not to panic in these situations, roll with the punches, so to speak.
âI know little of this place, my lady. Yet ââ Tettere turned his sapphire eyes to the surrounding forest. As far as he knew, this was some faux Elysion. Not quite the afterlife but about as close as someone could get. It was a paradise in its own right, he supposed, not that he particularly cared for it. If it was âparadiseâ then why did it not cater to his needs as it did for all others?
The royal perished the thought and instead offered the duchess a curl of his lips, pressing gloved hand to his chest and bowing in official greeting. He eventually stood with his back straight, smiling still as he thought it best to introduce himself first before asking the womanâs name. âPrince Tettere, my lady. It is my pleasure, as for your questionsâŠI was told this place is called Arcadios and it is apparently, some sort of salvation. Though, in my opinion, that remains to be seen.â
So it seemed like the prince did not know much of this place as well. It was slightly relieving that he had woke up here all of a sudden just like her, though. It meant this wasn't a personal thing, like an attack from Terrans, or something related to her grandson or the Methuselahs.
He spoke eloquently, like a person of royal blood one would. But, what he told her wasn't satifsfatory enough. Salvation, was it? That sounded like a lie they would tell to people who are brought here. She wasn't going to be tricked by it. Mirka was somewhat cinic, after all.
"Ahh~ I am Mirka Fortuna, Duchess of Moldova and her Highness'--" No, that part didn't quite matter, now did it? She wasn't in the New Human Empire anymore, and her Highness wasn't there. "Just call me Mirka, if you will~" She smiled.
Taking her white cat again in her arms, she petted it, and then looked back at Tettere. "So, do you happen to know if it's possible to go back? I wish to return to my home as soon as possible."
To know more of this place; that was her priority in this very moment.Â
