Everyone’s all excited for the filler episode of Ace Attorney where we get to see Kid!Miles, Kid!Phoenix, and Kid!Larry go on an adventure, but I’m calling it right now: 

The episode will end with Phoenix reading or hearing “Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death.”

I played around in Photoshop for the first time in FOREVER, and made space.

“Dude, when you think about it, we’re already in space.  Spaaaaaacccee.”

Headcanon: The scrapped Hospital Ending was actually Max rewinding back to the first day and taking the bullet for Chloe.  Max then wakes up in the hospital on the fifth day, and realizes the storm is STILL coming to destroy the Bay. Hijinks ensue, and this concept art happens:

Our little time-traveler then realizes that she had made a horrible assumption: She didn’t cause the storm by fiddling with time and saving Chloe; the storm was destined to occur in all timelines, and it may have been caused by something/someone else.  Fed up, Max decides to travel back in time once more with the intention that she can convince others that the storm is coming for Arcadia (with the rest of the week’s events playing out like the contest-winning timeline). 

EXCEPT. Something horrible happens when Max time travels, and she winds up back in the hallway from the Nightmare Sequence.  Dressed in Rachel Amber’s clothes, Max heads to Rachel’s old dorm room.  A doe stands in the room and as Max approaches, it faces her and turns into Rachel Amber. 

Rachel greets Max as an old friend, commenting on her appearance and exclaiming that it took her long enough to get here.  Max asks her what she means, and Rachel mentions that she may have accidentally caused the storm by getting lost in time. 

Max isn’t quite convinced by Rachel’s theory, but asks her if there is any way to stop the storm.  Rachel suggests that there might be a solution: To combine her powers with Max’s, and to send Max back in time to the week leading up to Rachel’s death.  Max’s mission would be to stop Rachel from abusing her power and from making a “horrible” decision.

Before sending her off, Rachel provides a few guidelines for Max:

1) Max will be able to notice when Past!Rachel rewinds time and changes events, and should therefore act as she did before Past!Rachel switched things up. 

2) Max should not fiddle with time when Past!Rachel is in close proximity, because Past!Rachel will also be able to notice when Max fiddles with time.

3) Max must try to avoid Chloe Price at all costs.

Cue Life is Strange Sequel or Rachel Amber DLC where you take turns playing as both Max and Rachel and solve the mystery of the Prescotts, Mark Jeffershit, and Arcadia Bay.

I honestly believe that if Rachel Amber had shown up in Max’s nightmare, this would have been the first thing she said.

Like honestly. Why couldn’t Rachel Amber have been a time traveler who fucked it up, and died at the hands of Mark Jeffershit? And why couldn’t she have given her powers to Max, since they both share the same spirit animal and both have close bonds with Chloe? Why couldn’t the story have just been one about defeating misogyny and fixing the damage Rachel did, instead of the cliché “you can’t alter time: what’s meant to happen will happen” bullcrap that we got? Why couldn’t we have gotten an ending without a shit ton of plot holes?

I am so disappointed with the finale of Life is Strange.

Finished my flash challenge for NYC Midnight. My second round prompt was a comedy in a delicatessen with a balloon somehow involved. A bit tricky to do in a thousand words. But, I guess I did okay? We'll see.

What if Edgeworth was telling Maya all about his adventures observing and prosecuting in other countries, and Maya was like “Oh, I recently got back from doing some masterwork in the Kingdom of Kurain, and LET ME TELL YOU! Their legal system is all kinds of messed up. They DON’T EVEN HAVE defense attorneys! Can you believe it?!”

And Edgeworth, being the Champion of Truth and Justice he is, charters a private jet to the Kingdom of Kurain, forces Phoenix and Co. along, and has Maya act as a political liason between the Kingdom and Japanifornia?
