all this and i dont even have a cursed amulet to blame
man if you're disabled you've GOT to find some way to make your fuckass body a source of pleasure whenever you can. jacking off. eating good food. wearing soft clothes. kissing an animal on the head. whatever you can do
what i’ve learned in my life is if someone is treating you poorly and youre asking yourself “what magic words can I use to make this person treat me with basic respect,” those words don’t exist and they never will.
(flirting) i could be your problem
if a trans man needs to hide the fact that he's trans in order to access any form of male privilege, i simply do not believe that is real privilege. i will, and never will, accept that the closet is a privilege. any queer person can go into the closet to access "privilege," and it's dumb when you all try to argue that bs too. are you not tired of making the exact same arguments about recycled queer groups every 5-10 years? nothing is ever new except the New Queer Enemy really IS privileged and evil this time, we promise!

It’s incredibly sexist to claim Taylor swift’s dad bought her career
damn you're right. both of her parents worked together to buy her career and I am sorry for disrespecting Andrea Swift in this way
the thing about being bullied for being weird as a kid is that even if you've always embraced being weird your brain is still always looking for the line where it's too much. you can be as proudly and intentionally weird as you want and you can love being weird but your mind is still convinced there's a point where you get too weird and people start treating you like a weird looking bug again. also it feels like you reach that point 500 times a day even if everyone you've spoken to today found you pleasant and likable and even if you're completely alone in your house with nobody looking at you at all.
i have this pervasive social issue where often people want to swim with me in the warm, pretty coral reefs of conversation but i have an overwhelming and unstoppable compulsion to drag my conversational partners down into the abyssal zone and make them drink methane from cracks in the ground with me and the haunted ass bathymodiolus mussels that are always enabling me like 'yes queen bring up labour organizing history again people need to hear this' 'go on lose your shit about the roots of aleatoric music in the year 1539' 'this is very normal conversation of COURSE everyone wants to know your favourite species of robust australopithecine'
BACK, HAUNTED MUSSEL, BACK I SAY
Anyways so (very simplified,) aleatoric music is a category that encompasses any music whose structure is primarily left up to chance. The term 'aleatoric music' started coming up in the 1950's and scholars are usually using it to refer to post-1900 stuff like Ives, Stockhausen, even Cage.
BUT there's this really fascinating mass written in 1539 by Johannes Ockeghem called Missa cuiusvis toni (literally, "Mass in any mode") that's one of the only surviving masses of its time written without any kind of clef or key signature; the idea is that you can feasibly sing it in the Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian or Mixolydian modes, and it's up to the performers. (Switching medieval modes is a different concept than transposing modern scales, partly because of things like the Phrygian mode having cadences that aren't compatible with the other modes. Ockeghem did some tricksy things with plagal cadences to get around it.) Of course this is far from the only example and not the absolute earliest! there are plenty of other examples of earlier chance music through history, and later, like Mozart using dice games to compose with random fragments. This mass is just the earliest one we have access to that is a reasonably tidy comparison to the 1950's-defined philosophy of aleatoric music.
Anyways it's just very perpetually funny to me that a bunch of American dudes in the 50's were like "We most definitely certainly invented the idea of leaving some elements of a musical composition to chance" when the whole reason they had to formalize it as a compositional style was basically a rebuttal to the past 100 years of increasingly hyper-structured music (Wagner, the fallout of the War of the Romantics, etc). It's like no guys this is very much a very recent problem created by your own direct musical lineage that you are now solving. but for the most part the rest of music throughout the world and throughout history does this often, & a lot of this is survivorship bias bc of the kind of music the Western classical tradition chooses to preserve and pass along as standard performance and pedagogical repertoire

The term "Lustmolch" is such a banger of the German language. Yes, you're a horny pervert but you're also an amphibian while you're at it. Hilarious!
i wish there was more social existence you could participate in laying down. I wish there were cafes that were two little futon beds parallel to each other with a low table in between so you could eat and drink while lounging. I wish there were group activities like painting or glazing clay or theaters that were designed to have beds and bed-height tables instead of chairs. I wish there were beds alongside benches outside for anyone to use. I wish air mattresses or roll-out beds were as common as cheap shitty chairs at things like barbeques, beaches, and concerts. so much life would open up to me and be enjoyable if I could lay down instead of sitting or standing for prolonged periods and completely wearing myself down with pain.
I do think that the world does just need more accommodating spaces in general. We as a society equate notions of expediency and efficiency with accommodation but really they aren’t the same thing. Like the place OP described COULD exist, but it would probably be treated as a novelty on the same level as a cat cafe, even though it’s just comfortable and accommodating.
I can’t stop thinking about how wonderful the world would be if everyone in it were even just 5% more patient and kind. If places like these weren’t just allowed but commonplace and if people FELT that they were allowed these things.
I’m gonna be 5% better, I think.
