Some sweet WIP from @legendofliz
You ready!??
I’m going to be posting a few WIP from our wonderful artists as well as some promo art that will be in the art book itself!
May 5th is the date we’ll be debuting. See you soon!
An art book collaboration surrounding LGBTQIA artists created by @princecurry
Each artist participating is asked to contribute a story (either visually through comics or textually with prose) that reflects on a moment within their lives that was overtly or even subtly telling when it comes to them now identifying as apart of the LGBTQ+ community. These moments can range from super obvious in hindsight to them now, or just subtle enough that they inform their queer identity presently in ways only now just realized. They can be moments that the artists were in denial about for years, or they can be moments that were just naively ignored. They can date back to the artist’s childhood or can even be from a few years ago or less!
My aim is to gather other queer artists and tell stories that brought us at least in part to where we are today when it comes to how we identify.
Half of the revenue earned from selling these art books will be donated to the non-profit Dallas based LGBTQIA organization: The Resource Center
Queerflections is due come April 10th 2018!
Please share, be prepared, and follow!
