the fridge-freezer is in the kitchen. Not only are there dishes every day, not only are there food preparation surfaces of various kinds every day, not only are there crumbs and odds and ends that fall on the floor every day ... but the fridge-freezer is in the kitchen. The oven is in the kitchen, the food cupboards are in the kitchen, and above all THE KITCHEN BIN IS IN THE KITCHEN.

I mean, it's not like the bathroom is all sweetness and light, but seriously! Who in their right mind is choosing the bathroom?!?!?!?

There's a van Gogh of an old pair of shoes in the Met. It's not a big painting and it doesn't have his usual vibrant colors, but every time I see it I just love it to death.

Once I understood that he started in pen and ink, and he was figuuring out how to adapt ink's techniques of hatching, stippling, and linework for brushwork in paint, I saw all his art in a new way.

And then he was working out how to use specific colors and complementary color combinations to evoke different moods/emotions.

At first glance, it looks loose, impulsive. But as the saying goes, there is method in his madness.

Saving this post to show my boss who I told the AI flier makes us look lazy and ignorant, and offered to hand draw one. She still printed tons of ai fliers and I'm tempted to make a better one just because it annoys me so much.
