I transformed my girlfriend into a minion and decided I would do some digital painting this time. I am not very confident about my painting skills but I did my best so she could have the best Birthday card ever.

Here is a little Motion Design video I’ve made for the great supporters of the Atlantique Stade Rochelais (ASR), the Top 14 rugby team ( top of the French national league system ) from La Rochelle, my hometown. 

Naturally, the video is in French.

‘Notre Force vient du coeur’ means ‘Our Strength comes from the heart’. ‘Alors merci aux supporters’ means ‘So thanks to the/our supporters’.

The idea was to use motion design techniques and hand-drawn animation to deliver a simple message of gratitude with simple graphic features. I wanted to make something dynamic as well as readable.  This is the 3rd motion design project I’m posting online.  All images are vector-based graphics (most of the design done in Adobe Illustrator). I recreated vector versions of both the official logo of the team but also the official ball.  The waves under the boat were drawn frame by frame within Adobe Flash. The remaining animation was done using Adobe After Effects.
