This is a selfshipping/yume blog dedicated to Jack Marston from Red Dead Redemption (2010)! Me and Jack go back to March of 2024, but I’ve just decided I’d start posting about it more recently haha
I am sharing, so don't worry about stepping on toes, I would LOVE to see who you ship with Jack! ^.^
I have interests outside of RDR, but this will primarily be what I post about. My main blog is @love-beyond-the-grave where all other facets of my personality are let loose
I don't have a DNI - just don't be an asshole (and all the other abhorrent stuff I shouldn't need to list off)
My About Me and Tag Guide below!
About Me
As already stated, I'm Alexandria, but I also go by Alex, Lexi, or whatever other variation of those - whichever is fine that you feel compelled to refer to me as
I am Nonbinary! My pronouns are They/She, and that is regardless of the fact that I primarily present as fem because appearance doesn't equate to gender :]
I am an American from the south, specifically Kentucky, but my family is originally from the upstate of New York
I am an Atheistic Satanist! I use LaVey's works as a jumping off point for my own primary beliefs, but the man is not one I exactly like, so I have my own personal practice I do privately. To add on as well, I DO NOT belittle Theistic Satanists or anyone of any well-meaning religion either - just felt it necessary to specify as much so no one gets the wrong impression
I would refer to myself as primarily goth, but I dabble in lots of other music genres as well as aesthetics - almost everything under the sun is interesting to me, but folk, country, and punk are likely the next few biggest topics I hold close

| The job at Hot Topic wasn't your favorite, but at least it earned you some money. And let you be around people that understood your vibe. Your parents had been rather upset about your recent self discoveries. They didn't understand the appeal of dark clothes and gaudy jewelry and loud music. At the very least, they didn't completely stop you from indulging in your new interests. It was a rather slow day when Jack had sauntered into the store with his buddies. He'd immediately noticed you. New and rather cute. By the time he left the store, he had your number.
| You were a little nervous hanging out with Jack at first. It was all still pretty new to you, but he was friendly. Really friendly. Jack invited you everywhere. Concerts, bars, late night drives, and even just out smoking in abandoned parking lots. You slowly came out of your shell and he was more than thrilled.
| Jack is also a non-stop texter, especially at first when he's trying to get you to hang out. Telling you all about his day, how fun a hang out was, how he saw something and thought of you. It's a little strange, after all Jack is kinda a strange guy, but it's nice. And you didn't much mind because you thought he was cute.
| Jack isn't rich, but he buys you anything you even glance at. It's difficult sometimes to embrace an alternative lifestyle while still living with your parents... even if you are an adult. But Jack sees it as an opportunity to spoil you. Those platform boots? Ordered. The rings you were looking at? Somehow in your pocket. A brand new leather jacket with the silver studs? Gift wrapped just for you. You keep telling him not to spend his money, but he does anyway.
| He's in a band. Of course he's in a band. He invites you to every concert. You go. He looks at you during the songs. It makes your heart skip a beat. At the after-party, alcohol flows through your blood as he's pulling you to a quiet corner. You're both drunk, but that seems to make it more exciting. His lips taste like sweat and drink and desire. Neither of you said you were together, but after that night you weren't just friends anymore.
| He's such a tease. It annoys you sometimes. He'll flirt with waitresses for free food or drinks. He'll blow kisses to the audience, then look at you with a smug smile. He sneaks into your room, leaves teeth marks on your skin and calls you his; the next day, he acts as if nothing happened. It hurts because deep down you know you're falling for him.
| While smoking one night after a concert, a band mate of his leers at you. Comments about how good you look drip from the guy's lips as he gets closer. His hands start to reach for you as you try to back away and laugh it off. Jack is a lot of things, but he's mostly jealous. By the end of the night, the band has broken up, Jack and the other guy have a broken nose and are both in jail. You bail him out in the morning. He's apologizing, something he's never done before. You quietly thank him for stepping in, but it's still weird to you since you are sure about the nature of your relationship. "I had to step in," he says. "Can't have someone thinkin' you ain't mine." It sort of slips out. But he's being honest.
| After that, Jack is a little less douchy. He finally works up the courage to ask you out on a real date. You are hesitant at first, but accept. He takes you to a local pub for dinner and drinks. After that, he walks you around the cemetery, showing you all the spots where he likes to walk the best. The moon was full that night and it was lucky no one was ever on guard duty there, or they would have run into the two of you rolling around in the back of his car which was parked toward the back of the cemetery.
| Your parents are apprehensive of Jack. He's not too bad... just rowdy and opinionated. He feels a little guilty sneaking into your room every night because he is scared of them. He just can't be without you for very long. He's clingy. It's not long before he asks you to move into his apartment with him.
| Unsurprisingly, he's a freak. He's into anything and everything. Anywhere at anytime. All you have to do is ask... or tell him, he's pretty okay with that too. He goes so far as to buy you those cringey couple's t-shirts that say 'i'm stupid' and 'i'm fucking stupid'. He thinks it's hilarious.
| He turns out to be really sweet, even though he doesn't know how to sometimes. He tells you all about his own hobbies and interests. He teaches you guitar. He shows you his favorite bands, gets you to try his favorite foods. It takes him a while to realize he doesn't pay attention to what you like thought. Sure, you have a lot of the same interests, but you have to remind him that you like slightly different things.
| As much as Jack likes to go out with you and show you off, he will take you home in a heartbeat. If it's too loud, too overwhelming, if you're just not up to it that night... he's pulling you out to the car to drive you home. Some nights are cuddle in bed, watch a scary movie, and drink hot chocolate nights. And he's okay with that. Just as long as he's beside you, he is comfortable anywhere.
I love the detail of Abigail and Jack both being able to kill the men who ended the lives of their fathers. Abigail admits Hosea was like a father to her, and so it's fitting she the one to put an end to Milton, his killer. Same with Jack and Ross.
I don’t usually do this and send links for purchasing items but this is for a very good cause, this is a red dead redemption two fan zine based solely on Javier, ALL of the profits go towards La Raza an anti ice organization for legal help for any detainees and family effected. I know a few other people in here like RDR/RDR2 as much as me so I’d like to put this here. The minimum donation is 2.99 for a standard zine and 4.99 for a special edition with extra goodies. You also have a chance to win a standard or special edition physical copy with tons of goodies. Even if you don’t like RDR it’s a great cause to donate to if you have the extra cash. I hope I covered the important stuff, if I didn’t the website will cover it better.
