The woman who received help

I don’t know why I was so observant today but I saw so many notable things. Imagine this, I stay in a high-rise building on the 10th floor looking out over most the neighborhoods from far west all the way back east to downtown St. Louis. This may sound a little weird but go with me, lol. As I was taking a shower I noticed a middle-aged woman teetering down the street with what looked like two totes maybe full of groceries. I can only imagine that she walked about 8-10 blocks already from the grocery store heading to her home. Btw, you can’t see out of the window, I had it cracked to let the steam out. Women like HOT showers and baths. So anyway, as I was paying attention to the lady I thought to myself, “this lady is strong as hell” as she conveyed those weighty looking bags further down the street. I thought, “she’s is going to have to stop soon” not trying to jinx her but because her feet were moving so hurriedly as if she wanted to take as many steps as she could before she stopped walking to give her hands and arms a break from carrying. As I surveyed her walking down the street I couldn’t help but wonder why she hadn’t taken public transportation to get back home.  With a transfer, it’s about $3 at most. Then I thought maybe she’s saving that $3 to make sure she picks up everything that she needs from the store for whoever she is providing for at home. I’m not sure that she is a mother but I can only assume that she is and although she was struggling I felt at that moment that it was the most beautiful site to see. Here she is barely making it down the street in discomfort, I’m imagining by the amount of times she stopped to gather her strength back, from carrying so much weight just to make sure she gets food home to whoever she is caring for. She even sacrificed a short bus ride that could have relieved her of her pain and misery but she instead decided to walk about 20-25 minutes to and from the store carrying 2 totes full of items. Maybe she didn’t even have $3, maybe she used EBT. Whatever the circumstance was, it made me think of mothers and some fathers who may have shared the same struggle at some point to make things happen for children/people who may never know what it took to make sure they were satisfied. As she took her last “pit” stop before crossing the street I was trying to hurry up and get out of the shower so that I can get in my mom’s car and take her to her destination but I figured she’d be home by the time I made it to her lol. I kept saying “someone will see her and help her,” hoping all hope is not lost for this woman. I sent up a silent prayer asking for her burden to be lightened and as I finished my prayer I saw a man crossing the street to meet her. He grabbed a bag with one hand while he himself had his own bags in the other hand. I don’t know where he was going or coming from but he was what she needed right at that moment even if she didn’t want to admit it.

 What’s the moral? Sometimes there isn’t a moral but you can always observe and be reassured that right when you need it, If you stick to the task, you may receive that help that you didn’t know you needed.

Still messing with these pics from the other day.. Makeup is such a stress reliever.. Truly makes me relax because it enhances my creativity.. Also the art of editing without air brushing.. I do a lot of things.. Photography was one of my first loves. I think I'm becoming more in love with the cinema feel of things. A pic that is edited properly will tell an entire story without having to use any words. It's not hard.
