okay so unnecessary background but i was having a conversation with my friend group about nosebleeds right. and one of them said she'd never had one in her life and that genuinely shocked me but when i polled it close to HALF of them never did??? and i was blindsided because i'd seriously assumed it was a universal experience. a quick google search of the statistics around this corroborated what they said too. so like

This is brought on by me seeing a pretty popular tweet where the OP lamented that they found a fic that does not follow the "accepted fanon" and contradicts another, seminal work of fanfiction by an esteemed fan author (but not the source material, from my understanding). Which both baffled and fascinated me.
