You had no idea… Whatever it was, apparently it was warm… Maybe you could figure it out before he came back with the tea… You hoped so…

You make the tea efficiently-- or perhaps not so efficiently, you are after all making it using magic, && there’s not much efficiency in setting a fire in your kitchen sink to heat things. However, you don’t really have much choice if you want to have tea and warm food. You just will have to ignore the smell of smoke that has taken over your home.

Soon enough, you’re bringing over a pot of tea && sitting it on the kotatsu. If you noticed the child’s confusion, you didn’t make any comment, instead pouring two cups of tea, && sweetening yours with three sugar cubes.
