Things that I can’t think about for too long without my chest aching (in a good way) - Miles and Alex edition:
Miles dedicating songs to Alex including My Fantasy, Wrong Side of Life(!), and most notably, Colour of the Trap - with Alex side stage watching fondly
How Alex helped Miles finish some songs on Colour of the Trap - and they’re all songs about longing or confused feelings
The way they hold hands
Bonus - when Alex clings on to Miles for dear life just because
Miles wearing in ear monitors on stage so Alex can just enjoy performing - and Alex being willing and trusting Miles to have that control
The way there’s no space between them in photographs

With each album release Arctic Monkeys have done an hour long album playback with a thorough track-by-track interview done by John Kennedy from Radio XFM.
These interviews provide valuable insights to the band's writing process, lyrics, song meanings and general info about the band at the time. The band talk about how they were feeling at the time they wrote the album and generally what was going on with the band at the time of recording.
They also provide hours upon hours of fun content! Yay!
I thought I would compile these interviews, the ones I could locate at least, as I figured others might find them interesting.
Enjoy!
Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not
They did an interview with John in early 2006, but it is sadly not available anywhere.
The station did do a 'making of documentary' about the album to celebrate the station's 10 year birthday, and showcased important albums during that decade, this one being the first. The documentary provides a sort of timeline of the band's early days and features interview snippets from the original interview the band did in 2006.
The documentary also features other musicians/journalists/radio personalities talking about the importance of the album. Including James Ford and Jim Abbiss, who produced the album.

EDIT: Radio X have finally uploaded the full interview as part of their new Track By Track full episode podcast.

Suck It And See
They did record an interview with John, which was broadcast on the 31st of May in 2011 but it's sadly not available anywhere.
EDIT: The lovely @turnertable informed me of John Kennedy's podcast on Spotify, which has part of the interview in its very first episode! Thank you! You can listen to that here (from approx 4.40).
Radio XFM wrote an article about the interview, which featured a few quotes:
"The phrase Suck It And See is causing a stir in the United States especially. "They think it is rude, disrespectful they're putting a sticker over it in America in certain stores, big ones," Alex told Radio X's John Kennedy. The pair were talking through the outrage-inspiringly-titled new release track by track on X-Posure. They told John that they wanted to master how they would play the songs live before putting them down in the studio, and reckon it means more of a return to their debut, 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'. "The first one obviously was done pretty much like that 'cause we'd been playing it around before we recorded it. That was something we wanted to try and do" Matt and Alex explained. "Most of the production side was done in London before we went and that allowed then sessions to be about getting the best recording, getting the sounds right." Suck It And See was produced with the help of producer James Ford, who also worked on Favourite Worst Nightmare and Humbug." [x]

watching the directors commentary for the incredible hulk is always such a treat because its louis leterrier and tim roth and they're both big sweethearts but they keep bringing up things that happened to tim and im like ???
1. When they blow the door up at Bruce's place in Brazil a chunk of it flew back and smacked tim in the face
2. While on the roofs in Brazil, the shot where Tim is looking out over the city to find Bruce, someone fired a gun at him??? Wtf???
3. the scene where he first fights the hulk in the soda factory, drenched in green fluid that ended up staining him 😭
4. The helicopter almost blew him over during his introductory scene and im pretty sure that's the shot they kept lmao
Hi there! Saw your post. Not exactly thirst but if you’re amenable, scenes from Coppers which highlight Graham’s unrequited pining/obsession/staring thing he’s got going for Robert? I only have the low-res Youtube version & put off watching because I could barely see Tim Roth’s face, then I watched & was amazed only one person at Letterboxd said it was abt Graham pining for Robert! Anyway if it’s fun for you, would love seeing some of your gorgeous gifs! Thank you for all your gifs. <3
