Music

Music is the last thing Quorra expected to hear in a Basic med center. It's slow and soft and lovely. For a moment, as she drifts back towards consciousness, she thinks she must be home in Arjia.

And then she remembers.

She was traveling with Ada when they were attacked. Another program helped her fend them off. After that… they came here.

Ada is asleep in the bed next to Quorra's. The medic who helped rescue them sits at a little desk in the corner. Tablets and charts litter the tabletop, but she's engrossed in what looks like a sampler.

Quorra holds her breath as she watches her play. She's beautiful, her dark eyes intense with focus, her mouth quirked in a self-satisfied smile. Her clever hands dance across the keys, weaving notes together in a tapestry of sound. She nods along, feeling the music, and her hair sways with the beat.

Quorra has never seen a Basic show such love for something outside their function. She's never seen a Basic act so much like an ISO. The flood of affection she feels comes on so quickly, it's almost embarrassing. But, these cycles, she takes her joy where she can get it.

After a few micros the music tapers off. Quorra sits up, wincing, and then those lovely dark eyes are on her.

"Can you play it again?" she asks.

The medic smiles.

We're preparing for #gridpride once again, and we would love your help!

First: your feedback.

Did you like having prompts posted a week at a time last year, or would you prefer if we posted them all at the start of the month?

How would you feel about calls/spotlights for specific "types" of ships or characters each week, such as poly, genderqueer, wlw, mlm, etc? These would remain completely optional and you could still use the prompts for whatever ships you wanted.

Second: prompt ideas!

This year we would like to post some nsfw purple prompts. If you have suggestions for Tron-specific nsfw prompts, please send them our way!

Tronblr is not ready to hear about Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom of Ice (1983) show that had a Tron segment in it. i cant believe this. wow

The Tron segment shows up at about 0:20, ft. a recogniser set piece and a guard? I can't find any specifics about what the Tron part of the show actually looked/sounded like, but I found this blurb on the Disney Wiki:

Later, as Mickey and Minnie go off to get Mr. Lito's ticket, Mr. Lito went to the video arcade. However, he gets sucked into the supercomputer TRON, where he meets the beautiful Computer Guardian and Commander Sark, who seeks to deprogram Mr. Lito, who manages to escape, as the Computer Knight engages Sark in a laser disc duel. Meanwhile, Mickey arrives in the world of TRON to explain what is going on, and the Computer Guardian explains that Mr. Lito went off to the Haunted Graveyard.

(Funny how Sark is in the Tron show, but Tron isn't! Tron, always being benched from his own franchise since only a year into it's existence.)
