Al-Asr

وَالۡعَصۡرِ ۙ

1.By time,

اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَفِیۡ خُسۡرٍ ۙ

2.Indeed, mankind is in loss,

اِلَّا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالۡحَقِّ ۙ وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالصَّبۡرِ ٪

3.Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

وَیۡلٌ لِّکُلِّ ہُمَزَۃٍ لُّمَزَۃِۣ ۙ

Woe to every scorner and mocker

الَّذِیۡ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَہٗ ۙ

Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

یَحۡسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَہٗۤ اَخۡلَدَہٗ ۚ

He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

کَلَّا لَیُنۡۢبَذَنَّ فِی الۡحُطَمَۃِ ۫ۖ

No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰىکَ مَا الۡحُطَمَۃُ ؕ

And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

نَارُ اللّٰہِ الۡمُوۡقَدَۃُ ۙ

It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

الَّتِیۡ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَی الۡاَفۡـِٕدَۃِ ؕ

Which mounts directed at the hearts.

اِنَّہَا عَلَیۡہِمۡ مُّؤۡصَدَۃٌ ۙ

Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

فِیۡ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَۃٍ ٪

Al-Humazah 104:1-9

اَلَمۡ تَرَ کَیۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّکَ بِاَصۡحٰبِ الۡفِیۡلِ ؕ

Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

اَلَمۡ یَجۡعَلۡ کَیۡدَہُمۡ فِیۡ تَضۡلِیۡلٍ ۙ

Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

وَّاَرۡسَلَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ طَیۡرًا اَبَابِیۡلَ ۙ

And He sent against them birds in flocks,

تَرۡمِیۡہِمۡ بِحِجَارَۃٍ مِّنۡ سِجِّیۡلٍ ۪ۙ

Striking them with stones of hard clay,

فَجَعَلَہُمۡ کَعَصۡفٍ مَّاۡکُوۡلٍ ٪

And He made them like eaten straw.

Al-Fil 105:1-5

لِاِیۡلٰفِ قُرَیۡشٍ ۙ

For the accustomed security of the Quraysh -

اٖلٰفِہِمۡ رِحۡلَۃَ الشِّتَآءِ وَالصَّیۡفِ ۚ

Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer -

فَلۡیَعۡبُدُوۡا رَبَّ ہٰذَا الۡبَیۡتِ ۙ

Let them worship the Lord of this House,

الَّذِیۡۤ اَطۡعَمَہُمۡ مِّنۡ جُوۡعٍ ۬ۙ  وَّاٰمَنَہُمۡ مِّنۡ خَوۡفٍ ٪

Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.

Quraish 106:1-4

اَرَءَیۡتَ الَّذِیۡ یُکَذِّبُ بِالدِّیۡنِ ؕ

Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

فَذٰلِکَ الَّذِیۡ یَدُعُّ الۡیَتِیۡمَ ۙ

For that is the one who drives away the orphan

وَلَا یَحُضُّ عَلٰی طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡکِیۡنِ ؕ

And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

فَوَیۡلٌ لِّلۡمُصَلِّیۡنَ ۙ

So woe to those who pray

الَّذِیۡنَ ہُمۡ عَنۡ صَلَاتِہِمۡ سَاہُوۡنَ ۙ

[But] who are heedless of their prayer -

الَّذِیۡنَ ہُمۡ یُرَآءُوۡنَ ۙ

Those who make show [of their deeds]

وَیَمۡنَعُوۡنَ الۡمَاعُوۡنَ ٪

And withhold [simple] assistance.

Al-Ma'un 107:1-7

اِنَّاۤ اَعۡطَیۡنٰکَ الۡکَوۡثَرَ ؕ

Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّکَ وَانۡحَرۡ ؕ

So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].

اِنَّ شَانِئَکَ ہُوَ الۡاَبۡتَرُ ٪

Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.

Al-Kawthar 108:1-3

قُلۡ یٰۤاَیُّہَا الۡکٰفِرُوۡنَ ۙ

Say, "O disbelievers,

لَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ۙ

I do not worship what you worship.

Al-Kafirun 109:3

وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عٰبِدُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ ۚ

Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.

وَلَاۤ اَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدۡتُّمۡ ۙ

Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.

وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عٰبِدُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ ؕ

Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.

لَکُمۡ دِیۡنُکُمۡ وَلِیَ دِیۡنِ ٪

For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

Al-Kafirun 109:1-6

اِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ اللّٰہِ وَالۡفَتۡحُ ۙ

When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,

وَرَاَیۡتَ النَّاسَ یَدۡخُلُوۡنَ فِیۡ دِیۡنِ اللّٰہِ اَفۡوَاجًا ۙ

And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,

فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّکَ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡہُ ؕؔ  اِنَّہٗ کَانَ تَوَّابًا ٪

Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.

An-Nasr 110:1-3

تَبَّتۡ یَدَاۤ اَبِیۡ لَہَبٍ وَّتَبَّ ؕ

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

مَاۤ اَغۡنٰی عَنۡہُ مَالُہٗ وَمَا کَسَبَ ؕ

His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.

سَیَصۡلٰی نَارًا ذَاتَ لَہَبٍ ۚۖ

He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

وَّامۡرَاَتُہٗ ؕ  حَمَّالَۃَ الۡحَطَبِ ۚ

And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

فِیۡ جِیۡدِہَا حَبۡلٌ مِّنۡ مَّسَدٍ ٪

Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.

Al-Masad 111:1-5

قُلۡ ہُوَ اللّٰہُ اَحَدٌ ۚ

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

اَللّٰہُ الصَّمَدُ ۚ

Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

لَمۡ یَلِدۡ ۬ۙ  وَلَمۡ یُوۡلَدۡ ۙ

He neither begets nor is born,

وَلَمۡ یَکُنۡ لَّہٗ کُفُوًا اَحَدٌ ٪

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4

قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ الۡفَلَقِ ۙ

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

مِنۡ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ۙ

From the evil of that which He created

وَمِنۡ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ ۙ

And from the evil of darkness when it settles

وَمِنۡ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِی الۡعُقَدِ ۙ

And from the evil of the blowers in knots

وَمِنۡ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ ٪

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

Al-Falaq 113:1-5

قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ۙ

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

مَلِکِ النَّاسِ ۙ

The Sovereign of mankind.

اِلٰہِ النَّاسِ ۙ

The God of mankind,

مِنۡ شَرِّ الۡوَسۡوَاسِ ۬ۙ  الۡخَنَّاسِ ۪ۙ

From the evil of the retreating whisperer -

الَّذِیۡ یُوَسۡوِسُ فِیۡ صُدُوۡرِ النَّاسِ ۙ

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

مِنَ الۡجِنَّۃِ وَالنَّاسِ ٪

From among the jinn and mankind."

An-Nas 114:1-6

بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ 

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ۙ

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -

الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ۙ

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

مٰلِکِ یَوۡمِ الدِّیۡنِ ؕ

Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.

اِیَّاکَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِیَّاکَ نَسۡتَعِیۡنُ ؕ

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

اِہۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ

Guide us to the straight path -

صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ ۙ۬  غَیۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَلَا الضَّآلِّیۡنَ ٪

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

Al-Fatihah 1:1-7
