Hi I'm Felix, I'm 24, and i go by She/Him! I like posting mainly about Analog & D-Pad and Ctrl+Alt+Del but i also just generally talk about all kinds of stuff. I yap a lot <3

I'm a self-shipper, i've been shipping with Scott Vogel from Analog & D-Pad for just around two years! what do you think about that one comic where we almost had scott and zeke together. like he's like "I'm installing linux over my default software" and scott hugs him. im a huge fan of both and i think the contrast of windows and linux is pretty cute. ignore this if it makes you uncomfortable as a selfshipper

I thought it was really cute!! (Dw it doesnt make me uncomfortable especially since id consider my 1.0 scott ship much more casual lol)

We didnt get much of a dynamic between the two but i think it would have been really interesting especially cause Zeke's involves a lot of trying to understand humanity and feeling like the odd one out in a room while 1.0 Scott being more of a stereotypical beatnik / hippie type is all about self discovery and trying to exemplify the better parts of humanity...

AAAA thank you!!! I hadnt actually considered that but i could totally see 1.0 Scott having a few, probably mostly ones done in someones basement or as stick and pokes from friends.

Especially since (because of yknow. The global Windows shutdown conspiracy and moving around a psychically microchipped animal egging him on to continue it) he moved from place to place and from house to house, its kinda sad and sweet if he has little physical reminders of the people he knew, i like that a lot actually im putting that in my brain too /lh

I think the main things that would make it worth it are:

Do you want higher quality versions of the panels?

Are you someone who really wants to see releases of one of his comics early?

I personally do since i fall under those two parts (Wanting higher quality A&D scans + to read ahead), besides that there's a few patreon exclusives with a monthly Ethan and Lucas subcomic (short, slice of life scenarios, not exactly story relevant if that's a concern), a patreon exclusive sci-fi comic (Trajectory, unfortunately i can't summarize very well since i'm not high enough tier to read it), and he's mentioned working on a Year One prequel comic for A&D to be released on it in the meantime. He does also have a seperate one for Starcaster that's a little more ahead and allows you to give input, but he still releases some of those comics on the base patreon too.

There are also some wallpapers and older chef brian comics, but those are more archived since they're not being updated very much, and once in a while a patreon answer video. I've personally been subscribed for a while and would say i enjoyed it, but i would say think on it, especially if you personally don't feel comfortable supporting him?

Something to note is if you are interested in some of those side comics you can also see them in the A&D releases in PDF and physical book form as well as some higher quality versions of the older comics, plus some extra content (The first book had the original first edition A&D comics before the official reboot and the second book had some additional lore tidbits.). Plus then you have access to the PDF at all times and can back it up.

Extra tidbit cause i was thinking about it, here's an example of the general quality difference between the main page and the patreon releases if that was something you were interested in!

The left being from the main page with the cropping around 240x280 and the cropped patreon version being around 370x440.

Quality difference from digital releases i would say is more noticeable on the first release, but there's about a 575x210~ (website) to 690x250~ (updated) difference with some pretty good zoom quality as seen in the third image.

If you go for the digital releases, those cover around Analog & D-Pad 01-05 for book one and Incentives (2017) to Demolition (2019) for book two.

If you're more of a 1.0 fan and looking for more content related to that however, i would really recommend you look into getting the digital omnibus of it instead, as it includes high quality versions of EVERY comic released during that series, some extra art, separation between the main storylines from the other parts such as the Players or Chef Brian comics, and exclusive epilogue content as well. I would say it's a pretty good steal for a 1.0 fan if you do want to commit to something, it sells for (as of now incase anything changes) 15$, you get it, then you keep it forever with no subscriptions.

Hopefully this helps you decide anon, i'd just generally say take your time and decide how you feel about it!
