Reading both Lord of the Flies and Interview with the Vampire I've come to realize Piggy and Louis are alike in one way. I think Piggy's biggest downfall is his inability to let go of civilization and play into his more savage instincts in order to survive around his obviously savage peers. This ultimately leads to his death. (We see this with Simon as well.) Louis is the exact same way and while it doesn't lead him to death it certainly causes a lot of problems for him.
