Both of those concepts require at their foundation respect for the rights of other people and the recognition that nobody has the right to harm others or take their stuff.

Sociopaths are pretty much as far from that idea as you can get.

Not that Wikipedia is a reliable source, but here's the basic concept in their words (choosing a leftist version of course):
