Hello peeps!
I’ve decided to change my blog to wordpress! :D
Goodbye Tumblr! It was nice having you for the past few years! :)
Goodbyes
Day 17
It was time for me to say goodbye to my beautiful and wonderful island, Tasmania. I had so much fun exploring the island and enjoying the scenery at most time.
I want to take this time to thank my boys for taking such a good care of me. One has been cooking for me and making sure that I’m comfortable at home and the other has been a great companion and helper when I needed a piggyback after I sprained my ankle. What more, both of you guys just made my vacation even more fun and exciting, laughing every day! XD Thank you guys!
Here’s my one last salmon before I leave. A must have!
That’s it. Time to hop into the plane and say goodbye.. :(
Looking at the view makes me sadddd. It’s just too beautiful ;(
Right after I touch down in Sydney, I was so prepared to step outside in the cold night. Wearing two jumpers just in case it’s too cold. As I step out from the plane, I took a deep breath and gosh, the air is so polluted and it’s so hot! Like Malaysia! I don’t need my jumper! >:(
Day 18
Here I am again, in Sydney. Taking the bus and walking around town.
Didn’t manage to have Pancakes on the Rocks earlier. So I thought maybe we should have some before we leave. Well, it’s still as good as before!
Later on, aunties decided to get to Paddy’s market (again? Yeah-.-) before getting home. And somehow, things is easier for the seniors, taking the bus to the market. While the ‘not so senior’ will have to walk there (Really? Yeah.). I practically walked 4.5km from Hickson Road to Paddy’s market. Man, was I so tired and thirsty. What more the hot weather. I was so relief when we arrive in Paddy’s market. But one thing that really pissed me off is, PADDY’S MARKET IS CLOSED! Ugh! And the seniors was sitting by the bench waiting for us to get home. We would have just take the bus home in the first place! Now, we’ll have to walk to the bus station that takes 2.7km to George street. Phew! I’ve walked 7.2km in a day! Wasn’t really happy with my back aching and still forcing myself to walk without breaks. Oh well, looks at the bright side then. I’ve burned all my pancakes. No wonder I didn’t gain any weight this vacation. XD
Day 19
Time to pack and leave Australia. Our flight is in the afternoon and we have the whole morning to spare just to pack our luggage. And I must say, my aunties and mom are having a hard hard hard time packing them. Buying so much without bothering if everything can fit into 5 small luggages. All of them got so stress and started to ‘quarrel’. haha.. After all the packing was done, I was asked to weigh them and holy moly! 86 kilograms! We came with less than 10 kilos! Come ask me what’s inside! And I’ll tell you~!
“We still have 40 kilos to spare. Let’s buy more”, she said. AND, we went shopping again T.T
Going through the check in was a headache. The queue was so long that it took us almost 45 minutes for our turn and our ticket don’t seem to check in as I’ve made changes to the flight previously. The man at the counter was trying his best to check in for us directly to Penang but it seems like he can’t do it at first then he kept trying till he managed to check in everyone except me. GG. Told me to get to KL to settle flight to Penang. But I told him to give it another try and see if it works. Thank God it did! Phew~
Passing through the immigration counter was hectic too. Too many people just want to get through the counter. By the time we walked to our gate, all of them was lining up. I was so stress by my aunties that has been complaining all the way since checked in. Ugh. I didn’t want to wait for the queue any more as I’m tired and I want to board quickly. Therefore, I use my aunties as an excuse saying that I have two senior citizens with me. Doors open wide, welcoming me into the plane. XP
8 hours in the plane was bleh. I tried to sleep, I can’t. I tried to read, I felt dizzy. I did nothing but watch movie and walk every where. haha.. Reached KL by 9.30pm and our next flight was 11.45pm to Penang. Again, I did the same thing. ‘I have two senior citizens with me. Can I have the priority to board first?’ heh. Right after I’ve scanned my ticket, I notice Mr. Lim Guan Eng, chief minister was behind me! You may think he’ll be in the business class. But you’re wrong! He was in the economy class just like me! Sitting 3 rows in front of me! Wow!
Reached Penang by 1am and I want my bed so badly. But sadly, dad will have to send my mom and aunties back first before picking me up with 6 luggages. Hoping for dad to come quick as I don’t feel safe in the airport all by myself. >.<
Got back home and hit the bed straight right after shower. And I woke up at 12.15pm! I think I would have continue my sleep if I wasn’t hungry. haha
Well peeps, that’s practically the side of my story for Australia. It was a great trip for the year even though there are hiccups here and there. I feel energised and refresh after this trip. Looking forward for my next trip! :D
Hobart
Day 16
It’s a Sunday! Thought maybe we should have breakfast in Farmer’s market before heading to church.
The bread and pastries looks so good. I have to taste some!
Look at their morning faces. haha..
Farmers market is not as exciting as Salamanca market. The stalls are mostly food and there’s very few art and craft stalls. But they have wall paintings.
Pligrim Cafe
Still hungry and sleepy. Time to get some coffee.
Cascade Brewery
It’s one of the oldest brewery in Australia that is still operating
There goes the boys, ordering their drinks.
Nice scenery outside!
Yum Seng!
They were enjoying their drink and nice scenery outside while I felt the sun burning my face. Couldn’t stand the heat and start covering my face. >.<
Was SO happy when they have finish their drink. Time to get inside. UNTIL Corey said, “Wait, one more.” T.T
Later on, we went to the park and start geocaching. Found it!
Got back home and Corey came with a cake to surprise Dom! Yes, give him a kiss!
Happy 21st!
Blow!
Then, there’s nothing much to do but watch a movie. I felt so bored and drag them to bring me for a walk outside. haha.. Went to the park and play with the slide! Wee!!
Tarzan.
Then we realise that we didn’t really have lunch. And the boys was craving for KFC. So hungry that we quickly drove to get them and start eating when we reach home!
And ice cream for dessert! Yum!
Richmond Town
Richmond town is one of the popular destination with elegant Georgian architecture of heritage buildings. It didn’t take long to get there from Hobart city.
Candy Shop
Richmond Bridge
One of the oldest bridge in Australia that is still in use since 1825
Ang mor carrying my bag! haha
Nothing much in the town as we were quite late when we got there and most of the shop is about to close. Besides, I sprained my ankle and didn’t want to walk around the town much.
Oh, and we cooked dinner! ABC soup and omelette! I wish I can have some now! So good!
Salamanca Place
Day 15
Salamanca Market
Salamanca market is one of the best outdoor market in Hobart which only opens on Saturday morning till noon. It took us a distance to walk there from home.
Lots of stalls selling foods, art and crafts and beautiful flowers! Not only that, they do have live performance too!
Fried mushroom
Korean Seafood Pancake
Fetta and Spinach Crepe
Honey Badger
We’re starting to feel sleepy. Probably it’s a sign that we need coffee and dessert.
Geeveston & Cygnet
Geeveston
It’s a small town in south west of Hobart.
Had sushi for lunch. Took a while for us to get lunch as there was many people lining up for take away sushi.
Later on, we took a walk around the town, visiting shops, parks and wood museum.
An Australian version of Candylicious?
Cygnet
Cygnet is a town in Huon Valley, which is south east of Tasmania. I was so tired after walking in Geeveston and slept in the car. When I woke up, I was here in Pagan Cider, where they produce cider fresh from their own trees for the past 4 generations!
We’re actually here for cider tasting. Trying different flavours such as apple, pear, cherry, blueberry and strawberry cider. When we’re done with cider tasting, I’m starting to feel a little dizzy. >.<
Oh. And we bought 4 bottles of mix flavour which is apple, strawberry, cherry and pear. Also a bottle of 100% cherry juice. Woohoo!
We got back home straight after getting the cider. Can’t believe I KO-ed in the car again. Probably I was too drunk and tired. XD
Later on for dinner, we had Italian food. Thought maybe we should pamper ourselves a bit. haha
This is a bomb!
Apple Shed
Day 14
Apple Shed is a museum, cider house and a cafe.
Walking towards the entrance of the cafe, displaying their history about Apple Shed.
Cafe
Took a walk outside around the heritage apple trees.
Mount Wellington
Mount Wellington is one of the highest mountain in Tasmania and apparently it snows when we’re away in Launceston T.T
We decided to catch the sunset in Wellington about 9pm. It was about 11 degrees when we were there. Ugh! So cold!
“You sure your jumper is enough?” I asked. “Yeah. I like the cold”, he said.
In the end, he couldn’t stand the cold, ran to the car and stole my puffer jacket. hahahaha!
Okay, his puffer jacket. XD

Bruny Island
So, after visiting the Truganini outlook, we took a drive around the island. This island is not fully develop as the roads are pretty hard to drive and there is still many roadworks going on. Drove to visit a couple of places.

Chocolate Factory
I see no factory here. It’s mostly merchandise that’s for sale.
Berry Farm
Flowers caught my attention more than the berries.
Bought a box of strawberries to have them on the way back but sadly, it’s sour. Had to make smoothies instead.
Penguin Cafe
Hungry and sleepy. Time for a break.
Retired couple running the whole cafe.
Scallop pie, anyone?
Took a walk outside the cafe.
Cheese Co.
Oysters
Oysters is a must have before leaving the island!
Yup! That’s about it! Goodbye Bruny Island!
Truganini Outlook
Day 13
Bruny Island is a ‘must go’ place when you visit Tasmania, they said. And here am I!
To access the island, we’ll have to take the vehicle ferry.
First stop, Truganini outlook. Had to climb 178 steps to reach to the top. It’s so high up and the wind is so strong! Most likely I’ll be blown away if I didn’t have breakfast.
The picture below is the left side of the outlook.
While this is the right side.
Left + Right = ‘The Neck’
Poof.
Later on, we went to the beach.
It’s a waste if I don’t soak my feet in the water. Took out my shoes, and the sand is so soft and nice! :D
Wait for it..
Aaahhh!!! Cold!!!!
Thank you so much for the beautiful picture Dom!

Hobart
St. David’s Park
Day 12
It’s about 3km walk from Sandy Bay to St. David’s park.
Somebody was so sad the other day. Smile? :/
It’s so clean that you can see starfish down under!
Walk to much. Time for ice cream.
Ice cream is the best cure for sadness. Smile? :D
Suppose to be walking home right after ice cream. But, it was drizzling. And somebody was too tired to walk back. So we took the bus home. Had to walk quite a distance to the bus stop though. Pass through beautiful buildings.
Yay! Taking the bus back for only $1.40! hehe..
And later in the evening, we cook mushroom soup and pasta! Wow, this is a blast! So good!
Unzoo
The initial plan was to get to Port Arthur right after visiting the fossils. We passed by the zoo and it caught our attention. So we thought maybe we just pop in and see what they have.
I wasn’t keen to visit the zoo at first cause I was disappointed the last time I visited the animals in Sydney and I didn’t manage to catch their shows nor did I get to play/touch them. Practically, all of them was sleeping. So, as we were waiting at the queue, Dom and I was contemplating if we should choose the zoo or Port Arthur cause we can’t be going to two places at one time as it’s late. He asked me to choose and I can’t decide. Until I overheard the lady at the counter explaining to the customer in front of us saying that we’re just in time to feed the kangaroos. Wait. What?! Feed the kangaroos??! Immediately I said, “Dom, I choose zoo! Let’s go!” hahahaha
You do not know how happy I was that day.
He touched me! :O
They’re so soft and fluffy! Surprisingly, they don’t smell that bad! And I wish i could hug them! <3
Butt butt.
I even get to feed the wallabies! I was told they’re really shy. But I think they like me! Sadly, I don’t get to give this cutie a pat.
Weird looking goose?
Right after feeding the kangaroos, we went to visit the devils. Tasmanian Devils.
Isn’t it cute? haha.. I was told all they do is eat, sleep and have sex. Not kidding.
Next up, bird show. Had to do it indoor cause it was raining. And I was shivering cold!
This lady did a few tricks. Nah, wasn’t impress. haha..
This pretty bird can’t fly anymore. So it’s a good chance to take picture. haha
After all the touring and feeding, we didn’t take a walk round the park much as it was still raining and we didn’t want to get drenched.
It was an unplanned trip to the unzoo. And I have no regrets!
On the way back, we stop by to get some oysters! Yums!
First thing we did right after we reach home was to eat them! Look who’s enjoying it? haha

Eaglehawk Neck is located in south Hobart. It’s a small town and natural gateway to the many attractions of the Tasman Peninsula.

One of the historic site in a shack.
The Blowhole
It’s not blowing! We waited quite a while for it to shoot up but all we get is this. =.=
Fossil Bay
This is so so so so beautiful!
Wow!

Hobart
Day 9
It’s a Sunday! Visiting C3 in Hobart.
And the girls just love him so much! haha..
Margate Train
It’s great to see old trains being used with lots of shops in the carriage.
And we’re here to have their pancakes in the train!
Sweet and savoury pancakes
After lunch, ang mor kia decided to hunt for geocache and his friend helped him.
What’s a Geocache? Here’s a source from Wikipedia.
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS)receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world.
A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook (with a pen or pencil). The geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. After signing the log, the cache must be placed back exactly where the person found it. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (Tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, such as toys or trinkets, usually of more sentimental worth than financial. Geocaching shares many aspects with benchmarking, trigpointing, orienteering, treasure-hunting, letterboxing, andwaymarking.
Really?! haha..
Jam and Bread Cafe
Still hungry. Time for tea right after lunch. haha
Look at the menu! So creative! haha
Selfie!
Later on, Corey decided to continue his search as he didn’t want to give up. Finally, he got his first one!
And later for dinner, we have our own home cook Kimchi Fried Rice! So good, so yummy! Thanks Dom! :D
Day 10
Did nothing much but shopping all day! Also, saw a beautiful rainbow when we’re on the way back! Double rainbow!
Also, we made lamb stew. I must say, it’s SO good!
East Coast of Tasmania
Day 8
Maybe a last picture at Carmen's inn?
Scamander beach
Scamander Beach is directly outside of our inn. Thought maybe we should take a walk while the ang mor rest. haha
*cold*
Next, we travel to get fish and chips for brunch.
Bicheno Beach
Brought fish and chips to Bicheno beach to feast with irritating seagulls.
Wineglass bay
Wineglass bay will be our last stop before we head back home to Hobart. This is the most magical place I’ve ever been! It’s one of the top ten beaches in the world!
We had to walk about 2.5km for a lookout.
Then, 8km of bushwalking to Wineglass bay. That was really tiring but it was so worth it!
East Coast of Tasmania
Legerwood
Later on, we stop by somewhere somewhere, I don’t know where, to take pictures.
Macam Microsoft screensaver kan?
Bays of Fires
And so, we’re suppose to be having dinner soon as everyone is hungry. But we pass by a road sign that says “Bays of Fires”. Thought maybe we should get there since it’s just on the way. Man, I was so hungry! haha
I told him I’m too short. And he carried me =.=
And they never fail to make my day :D
I was practically saying *cold* every time. haha
A flower for me maybe?
St Helen
This town is so dead. Like, there wasn’t anyone walking outside.. probably is was too late..
Found this shop in tripvisor and thought of giving it a try..
CHIIIAAKKK!! (Eat!)
Corey the ‘ang mor kia’ went to one of the petrol kiosk to get some ice cream! Thank you ang mor kia! You're awesome!
Later on, it took us about 20 minutes to get to Carmen's Inn.
I still can't believe that we're actually paying $85 for a whole inn without sharing with others?! Really?! Like, really?! It’s amazing!
Own kitchen. Really?!
Toilet was awesome too! We don’t have any problems with closing doors! :D
We kinda regret after we found out that the stay was so comfortable. Compared to Batman Fawkner Inn. And we thought maybe we could stay for another night. But sadly, all the inns is occupied. :(
So, what did we do the whole evening? Well, Corey enjoyed his beer and drank 6 bottles of it. And I think he's drunk but he said he's not. Oh well, someone who is drunk will always say he's not drunk. Haha..
Time to moisturise our face a bit.
Ang mor kia acting cool huh?
