Thanks for being polite about it and honestly, your probably right. I've never had more people try to justify porn to me than when I wear vehemently anti porn stuff but I think thats true of anything I'd wear. People try to justify modesty when I wear this shirt or shaving when I wear this one. I just think thats what happens when you wear political stuff.

I don't know how people missed your point (it was on purpose) so badly. You literally emphasized intersectionality, and womanhood is one of the intersections.

It can't be unless one acknowledges the institutional and societal trauma and abuse one experiences as a result of womanhood alone.

People now attempt to call you a racist (or homophobe) for implying you have the right to speak on the misogyny you experience even if you cannot speak on the racism or homophobia you have not personally experienced, but it is important. The reason liberal and leftist spaces have effectively abandoned women is because they've deluded themselves that a category of people that large is no longer oppressed or the victim of discrimination.

You'll see anti-racism protests, trans activism, and anti-homopbobia signs, but it's like women's rights are a ghost of the past. It is concerning, and the point you are making draws on that clearly.

Not being a black woman or a gay woman has never stopped a white woman or any other from being raped or trafficked or forced into a marriage or domestically abused among so many other things. People can speak on the compounding complexity and intersectionality of the issues they've experienced, but the implication that someone is implicitly privileged because they are not a particular minority group is where we need to start drawing the line, if you ask me. Because it has gotten us here. Some are far less privileged than others, but if one is still a victim of oppression, they should be respected as such. If we can't truly do that, we can't respect intersectionality.

I'm gonna just post this because this is so much more eloquent than anything I will ever say.
