This is why I don’t like it when I hear people saying ”Porn isn’t real, it’s just acting”.

Every hit and slap the woman receives is real. Every time a male performer inflicts pain on the female performer, she feels it. How can one say for sure that the woman in the porn video crying from pain was just acting?

Porn isn’t just an act. It’s real. It’s just not realistic. As in, you should not expect that from sexuality or intimacy.

sometimes i just think about burqas and how terrifying of a concept they are. i see women out in public covered head-to-toe in the humid english heat and i wonder how she's coping. but i won't know, because i can't see her expression.

i go to the pool and i see women with babies covered up, sitting solemnly to the side and not partaking in the fun while their husbands, sons and brothers splash about without a care.

i look at these women and above all i think, what if she went missing? how would we ever find her? how could anyone identify her? would her husband ever let a picture of her face be put up publicly as a call to action? and how would we identify her face as being hers if she's always covering it up?

burqas just make me feel depressed. when i leave the house and i see women walking behind their husbands, caring for 3+ children alone, covered from head to toe, i just have to turn away. why do we treat our fellow human beings like this?

Hopefully more Exmuslim women see this and can answer your questions! I'm diaspora from America and not from a culture that wears burka regularly, so I don't personally know specifics on these issues. But I will try to answer to the best of my ability.

If you want to read trying finding experiences from women who wear Islamic headcoverings, I suggest looking on reddit like r/Hijabi (note: from believers who aren't going to be critical of hijab as a practice) or r/Exmuslim if you want to easily find discussion from women posting about the struggles of being forced and/or pressured to wear hijab. It does seem hard to find posts from women who wore burka or niqab, and not hijab. 

In general, Islam exerts pressure for women to stay home so if they can, they're already limiting how often they go out anyways. Women aren't required to go to the mosque to pray like men are, and are actually encouraged to pray at home for the sake of modesty.

I believe when it comes to going out in the heat, most women in burkas get used to the heat or simply suffer in silence since they have only ever experienced wearing it; you're probably not going to see much expression on their face betraying their emotions. They probably develop some levels of bodily dissociation to cope.

I'm not sure about the missing poster aspect, hopefully someone with more knowledge can answer your question. Unfortunately, when I tried looking it up, I mostly got people joking about the pointlessness of posting a missing poster of a woman in burka, and dehumanizing them. I assume they would put her face on a poster if needed, like how women who cover their face take off their covering for practical purposes like ID card photos. 

Regarding "why do we treat our fellow human beings like this?", modesty rules are a control mechanism. Religious attire rules serve to isolate the in-group (Muslims), from the out-group. Hijab also served to separate free women from slaves; slaves were not allowed to wear hijab. "Awrah" is the Islamic modesty rules, and these differed between free women and slave women.

it actually is insane to me that it's a cultural norm for men to suck ass at getting their wives/gfs gifts. especially when they whine about how they have no idea what women like.

man, you're not getting a gift for Female Domestic Partner. you're getting a gift for Natalie, a person whom you have been married to for 7 years, whom has lived in the same home with you for a decade, whom speaks to you every day about her thoughts and interests, whom you presumably love, and whom you can directly or indirectly ask what she wants. it's not that you don't know what half the human population wants, that's irrelevant. you don't know what Natalie wants and that is inexcusable.

a lot of the male rage online comes from the fact that a lot of men are genuinely losers. they don't contribute anything to society, and naturally, they have low self-worth. Except, they've been told they have a right to use a woman's body, and that, despite their overall loser status, they are hierarchically above women. what enrages them is that women's rights have come far enough that natural losers are losing.

No, they are adults who need to get their shit together. They're enraged because they think having to earn a woman's respect or admiration is an attack on the natural (patriarchal) order.

There are far more women in this world who were babies who needed love and never received it. Why aren't they creating insular online communities where they talk about torturing and enslaving men? Where's the national outcry about the female loneliness epidemic?

If men need to be parented so terribly then they can go to a therapist and learn to reparent themselves just like every woman who has been in the same situation and told the problem was her. We are out here parenting actual children.

Aspects of female socialization you should strive to unlearn:

Over-apologizing.

Being overly-nice and a people pleaser.

Faking smiles & laughs.

Downplaying your accomplishments and skills.

Tolerating misogyny & disrespect to avoid confrontation.

Being responsible for the emotions of other people and men around you + making excuses for their behavior.

Avoiding stating your opinion bluntly.

Over-extending yourself instead of stepping back and taking a break.
