The thing about Fallout 76...
is not that the game cannot be enjoyed. It can be. If you really want to, you can have fun playing any game at all. It's even easier to do so when friends are involved.
The mobs of angry people aren't telling you that you can't find a way to enjoy this game. There are players who enjoyed No Man's Sky and Fallout : Brotherhood of Steel, after all. After spending $60 on this cheap thrill ride, I would sincerely hope players could find some way to make it worth some of what they paid.
The angry folks are angry because they are tired of being lied to, cheated, and disappointed by inferior game development supported by a lazy company. They are over with being sold a game described as solid gold, when in actuality it is just gold painted with chips already flaking off.
When half the cast of the last Fallout installment all had copy-pasted backstories with slight modifications made to each and no real force of character, you can almost see why it was too hard to include NPCs in 76. When dialogue options were just 4 different ways of doing what Bethesda wanted the character to do, you can see why they didn't bother with a story or choices this time.
You aren't in the wrong in trying to salvage the money you spent, but PLEASE do not believe that means you should defend a company that takes pride in selling cheap, lazy, copy-pasted games with no genuine content and which takes a shit on the community for not being okay with that.
We just need to stand together as a fanbase, old fans and new, to demand Bethesda have some accountability in giving us, and this franchise (that they bought and didn't create), what we deserve from this classic series.
