Older men donât date younger women despite their age and youth, older men date younger women for their age and youth. I know it can feel good when an older men acts like youâre special and above everyone else, and that you have some special maturity that no other woman your age has. Those are lies. An older man dating a younger woman isnât special or exclusive. Itâs extremely common. In fact, on average, men tend to see women at their peak in their early 20s and start seeing them as more and more expired as they age.
An older manâs attraction isnât an exclusive club. Most men who seek out women never stop finding younger women to be the peak of female attractiveness. An older man who is âwillingâ to date a significantly younger woman is just expressing what most men their age believe for those who seek out women. Itâs really really not special. Finding an older man who is âwillingâ to date a 20 year old is like finding a dog who is âwillingâ to go on a walk. Theyâre just doing what they want to do.
does anyone else require an advance notice of at least three (3) working days to physically and mentally prepare for any and all forms of social activity or is it just me
trumpâs 1 year anniversary of being president is starting off with the government shutting down thatâs the perfect representation of how american politics has been going for the past year
The government got shut down when Obama was president as well.
Itâs not new.
Stop blowing it out of proportion.
Itâs not a rare occurrence.
When the government shutdown under the Obama administration it was a divided government. Which made more sense because under a divided government itâs harder to compromise.
Here we are, 2018, and the Republicans control ALL branches of the government. They still failed to compromise and negotiate.
This is the first time the government shutdown under a one-party government. Ever.
This is most definitely a rare occurrence. Very rare.
Here we are, once again. Not even a full 12 months later, and yet another Republican shutdown.
#TrumpShutdown
This is actually the third government shut-down this year. The third. There was the first in January, an additional one in February, and now weâre rounding out the year with a third shut-down. There was only one during the entire eight years Obama was President. There have only been nine total shut-downs in the entire history of America. Trump is responsible for a third of all government shut-downs and this has all happened in one year and it is only his second year in office. Is that alarming? That should be really fucking alarming.
when will white vegans shut up
like for real⌠there are so many cultures and faiths that consume animals ethically. we donât source our meat from mass industries that abuse animals and we utilise the entire animal for food or clothing. there are rituals and prayers unique to different cultures that are done to thank animals for their sacrifice, or concepts similar. Those who follow Islam and Judaism (who eat Halal and Kosher Meat, respectively) are required to kill the animal in the most painless way possible. stop telling us that what weâre doing is wrong and immoral when your expensive vegan products are sourced from companies that destroy land belonging to Native Americans or exploit people of colour to do their underpaid labour. Be mindful of other cultures and stop grouping us in with the white meat-eaters.
how do i frame this and put it on my wall
Must be nice to be a man and feel absolutely zero guilt or concern while you sit on your arse in front of the tv as your wife frantically runs herself into the ground with the never ending grind of holiday cooking/cleaning/gifting/wrapping/decorating/tidying/arranging/crafts/familial politics
it always bewilders and offends me that at family gatherings all of the women are up cleaning, cooking, clearing the table after dinner, bringing snacks out, etc., and all of the men are just relaxing and sitting around. Iâm also up cleaning, clearing peoplesâ plates, etc., because Iâm expected to do that as a female, while my male cousins get to sit around and chill. Even the male relatives that I like just sit around and chat and donât seem to notice that my sister and I are constantly being called into the kitchen and theyâre not.
so anyway yeah if youâre a male you should seriously try to pay attention to whoâs doing all the work and whoâs allowed to sit and chill (probably you) and maybe like, get up and insist on helpingâŚ
âA long-term study of children raised by lesbians found that these children were less likely to suffer from physical and sexual abuse than were their peers who were raised by heterosexuals. This is thought to be due to the absence of adult heterosexual men in the households (Gartrell, Bos, & Goldberg, 2010). Girls raised by lesbians tend to have higher self-esteem, show more maturity and tolerance than their peers, and are older when they have their first heterosexual contact (Gartrell et al., 2005, 2010). Children raised by same-sex parents seem to be less constrained by traditional gender roles; boys are less aggressive, and girls are more inclined to consider nontraditional careers, such as doctor, lawyer, or engineer (Gartrell et al., 2005; Stacey & Biblarz, 2001). Over the course of more than 20 years, scientists studied the psychological adjustment of 78 teenagers who were raised by lesbian mothers. Compared to age-matched counterparts raised by heterosexual parents, these adolescents were rated higher in social, academic, and total competence, and lower in social problems, rule-breaking, aggression, and externalizing problem behavior (Gartrell & Bos, 2010). There are fewer studies of children raised by two men, but gay fathers are more likely than straight fathers to put their children before their career, to make big changes in their lives to accommodate a child, and to strengthen bonds with their extended families after becoming fathers (Bergman, Rubio, Green, & Padrone, 2010).â ~ Martha Rosenthal, Human Sexuality: From Cells to Society, p.247.
âhaving gay parents will harm childrenâ
I love that this is cited and sourced ahhhh. Actual researched support! So good.
Hereâs Gartrell, Bos, and Goldbergâs paper since whatever link that was is broken.
At this point thereâs no excuse for a baby boomer to be technologically incompetent anymore. Itâs just willful ignorance, this shit is not fucking hard
âwhy is it asking for a passwordâ because youâre logging into something martha, thatâs how itâs been for the last 20 fucking years
âhow do i do [x] can you show meâ no dale you can Google it like the rest of us. it requires one exposure to the concept of googling to understand how it works. your generation was smart enough to cause a total economic collapse out of malice but not smart enough to type in a few words I guess
âim just not tech savvyâ no you just refuse to learn because like in most things you are stuck in your ways
the worst part is after you help an old fuck with some sort of tech bullshit 9 times out of 10 theyâll give you some kind of bullshit passive aggressive thank-you
like âoh i guess you young people have to know something about those phones youâre always on, huh?â
give me a fucking break gretchen i have depression from living in the economy you created and my phone is more of a reprieve than dealing with your stubborn inconsiderate ass
AND ANOTHER THING that just gets my blood boiling is their ability to get into their settings, completely fuck things up, and then manage to develop total amnesia about how it happened
what do you mean you set your phone to japanese on accident, phil? thereâs like 15 separate menus you have to navigate through to get there
âi think itâs because i got a virusâ no greg itâs not a virus, the only viruses here are your rampant stupidity and the deadly pathogens carried by your unvaccinated grandchildren
i just absolutely loathe that the people who decide if women should be executed for having abortions or not are the same people who canât figure out how to work a blu-ray player with the instructions in front of them
im asked jesus himself and he told me that chewinge upon the christmas lightes & starting a catastrophic electrical fire is a very appropriote way to celebrate his birthday
During the most poor and homeless period of my life, I had a lot of people get angry with me because I spent $25 on Bath and Body Works candles during a sale. They couldnât comprehend why the hell I would do that when I had been fighting for months to try and get us on our feet, afford food, and have an apartment to live in.
Those candles were placed beside wherever I slept that night. In the morning, I would move them and set them wherever Iâd have to hang out. At one point I carried one around in my purse - one of those big honking 3-wick candles. I never lit them, but Iâd open them and smell them a lot.
I credit that purchase with a lot of my drive that got me to where I am today. I had been working tirelessly, 15+ hour days with barely any reward, constantly on the phone or trying to deal with organizations and associations to âget help atâ. Itâd gone on for almost a year by the end of it, and I was so burnt out, to the point that I would shake 24/7. But I could get a bit of relief from my 3-wick âupper middle class lifestyleâ candles. They represented my future goals, my home I wanted to decorate, and how I would one day not be in this mess anymore.
When we moved into the apartment, and our financial status improved, I burned those candles every single day. When they were empty, I cleaned them out, stuck labels on them, and they became the starting point of my really cute organization system I had ALWAYS planned to have.
So whenever I hear about someone very poor getting themselves a treat - maybe itâs Starbucks, maybe itâs a home deco item, maybe itâs a video game⌠I donât judge them. I get it. I get that you canât go without anything for that long without it making you go crazy. You need to pull some joy, inspiration, and motivation from somewhere.
poor people deserve things they want, too. it is unfair to expect poor people to only buy things they âneedâ.
My grandfather used to tell me: if you only have 20 kr left, you buy grocery for 10 kr and flowers for the other 10 kr because you need a reason to live as well.

I honestly donât understand why there arenât more people who, when given the platform to discuss minimum wage, donât simply distill it to the simplest of facts:
A forty hour work week is considered full time.
Itâs considered as such because it takes up the amount of time we as a society have agreed should be considered the maximum work schedule required of an employee. (this, of course, does not always bear out practically, but just follow me here)
A person working the maximum amount of time required should earn enough for that labor to be able to survive. Phrased this way, I doubt even most conservatives could effectively argue against it, and out of the mouth of someone verbally deft enough to dance around the pathos-based jabs conservative pundits like to use to avoid actually debating, it could actually get opps thinking.
Therefore, if an employee is being paid less than [number of dollars needed for the post-tax total to pay for the basic necessities in a given area divided by forty] per hour, they are being ripped off and essentially having their labor, productivity, and profit generation value stolen by their employer.
Wages are a business expense, and if a company cannot afford to pay for its labor, it is by definition a failing business. A company stealing labor to stay afloat (without even touching those that do so simply to increase profit margins and/or management/executive pay/bonuses) is no more ethical than a failing construction company breaking into a lumber yard and stealing wood.
Our goal as a society should be to protect each other, especially those that most need protection, not to subsidize failing businesses whose owners could quite well subsidize them on their own.

Heres the thing you gotta understand about statistics.Â
âIncreases your chances by 80%â does not mean âthere is now an 80% chanceâ.Â
If your chances were previously 10%, your chances are now 18%, not 90%.Â
if your chances were roughly 1%, theyâre now just slightly less than 2%.Â
thats how that works.Â
Wow I donât understand math at all
âif you have a baby after 35, the chance of deformities goes up by 100%â is a line I hear alot.
It goes up from .5% to 1%
