oh my god i actually love this. they’re using hanna showing him that despite how he acted she still loves him and there’s still a way to move on from that to get matteo to realise that things and situations aren’t just static, that he’s not fucked up so badly that he’s at a point of no return. that, plus the fact that she’s being suddenly (surprisingly) vulnerable with him, despite what happened between them, despite that they haven’t talked in a while, and she’s opening up to him about how she’s not really feeling okay… i feel like seeing that in her eyes and seeing that other people may actually not have everything figured out the way anxiety often makes it out like they do is so important for him to see.
