Rainbow hugs.

Friends, only friends that’s how we’ve been, like a gentle breeze.

Your hugs, strong, true, giving me life, sincere rainbow.

Friends, or not just friends maybe that’s how we’ve been, “I love you” is not a lie,

Drunk in conversation, mistook our realities, kisses and heartache.

Elated, wondering, grabbed the chance, not even asking why.

Back, back, if we could take it all back Would you? Would I? Your arms around me and my hand on your hair. Dangerous closeness, surprising feeling.

Friends, or more than that I don’t know how we’ll be. I’ll take what we can make. But your hugs, your steady rainbow hugs with that sun bright smile, I won’t surrender.

Mi viejo amigo

Hay cosas que no se olvidan. Sensaciones, abrazos, horas. Hay recuerdos que te acarician el corazón, te llenan de luz, de primavera. Hay personas que se guardan con recelo en el pedacito más preciado del alma. Hoy me armé de valor, te desempolvé. Hoy me agradeciste por el coraje de volverte a hablar y no puedo más de tanta felicidad.

Pérdida

Desgarrante, arrasador, el dolor de perderte, de aceptar que te dejé de amar.

Vano, torpe, el intento desesperado de aferrarme a un sentimiento que ya no está.

Paralizante, desesperante el miedo de herirte y la certeza de que es imposible evitarlo.

Irreversible, desesperanzador, el resultado de las decisiones, atenerme a las consecuencias de terminar con “nosotros”.

Inexorable, inclemente, la firmeza de tu reacción, de encontrarme culpable y borrarme para siempre.

Melancólica, reveladora, cada noche que pasa, borrando un poco más la huella de tus abrazos.

Entumecida, desconcertada, al encontrarme ahora sola, sin saber cómo funciona la vida sin vos.

Inútil, egoísta, querer remendar tu corazón y pretender que esto no acabó.

Ineludible, franco el paso del tiempo que reafirma esta nueva distancia entre los dos.

Dear You

I know I hurt you the day I walked away, but feelings cannot be forced and mine were already gone.

I hope you know that loving you made me better. Our time together holds a sacred place in my heart.

The things we shared the games we played I’m going to miss our world Dear You.

And perhaps in time our paths will cross again I’ll long for that day ‘cause I died a little the day I left.

You built bridges for me when all I saw were concrete walls but those bridges were yours and now I need to find my own.

I thank you for sharing your life for giving me the love that you could give And I’m sorry for not being enough, for not loving you anymore.
