The Wait

Not very sure about what to feel, like there are rules for feelings on every specific occasion. We have been preparing for a time and we think we know our steps. I think I feel nervous. Talking may be a good idea, all though I don't want to loose my focus. It feels like a long time, this short time, now. I know our turn is soon, I can feel it in my heartbeat, like my body's mind over mine. Am I sweating? or does it just feels like so? a bit cold. I am told to approach the edge of the stage. Both, my body and mind are anxious. I go over my steps in my mind, telling my body its ok, we've got this. Thats our queue, we walk to our designated place on stage. My body feels paralysed, every muscle feels hard, yet it walks, my body by itself, step by step. Again we wait. I seem to see many things, yet I document none. Im paralysed on my feet. And then, it finally starts. The music and my body perfectly flow as one while I'm silent.
