“Thrawn? Can’t you just come back to bed?” Eli asks, sniffling. He stretches underneath the crisp sheets, shuffling over to his lover’s side of the bed, still warm from where Thrawn hasjust exited.
“I’m afraid not, my love, one of us has to go to this meeting, and you’re sick. Remember, we agreed that you’re going to stay in bed for today,” Thrawn replies with a subtle wink, leaning down and kissing Eli chastely on theforehead.
Still naked from getting out of their comfortable, grand bed, Thrawn smiles at Eli and pads over to their wardrobe, picking out a suit for the day, choosing the white uniform that looks the most pristine. Eli watches himcarefully, willing him to come back into bed and stay with him. Thrawn looks as incredible as ever in his white uniform, his red eyes shining like stars.
“Don’t go,” Eli whines, sitting up in bed. “Pleeeease.”
“You need to rest, Eli. Quiet now, love,” Thrawn quips at him fondly.
“I’ll catch your cold,” he teases.
“Chiss are immune to the common human cold. And you weren’t saying that last night,” Eli flirts, voice deepening a little, raising an eyebrow to check that his teasing is working.
“Well, you’re very persuasive,” Thrawn says, voice adopting the same flirtatious tone, “And distracting.”
He finishes buttoning up his shirt and Eli’s fingers itch to undo them all again, to reveal all of the beautiful body Thrawn has slowly been covering up. His hard abs, his strong arms, his long legs—Eli has to stop himself from goingfurther, hoping that his blush looks a result of his fever. There’ll be time for that later, he knows, and for now he lets himself appreciate the sight of Thrawn stretching to brush lingering creases out of his uniform.
“This meeting better not last long,” Eli muses.
“And why is that?” Thrawn asks.
“Because I can’t wait to take all of that off again.”
