neo twewy sucks. actually even the dlc for the og twewy sucks. yet another "nomura loves his sequel bait". like you had one of the best stories of all time with an incredible ending and he HAD to add his stupid "actually neku has to go back to the torment nexus and hes dead now". like really? youre gonna shoot yourself in the foot like this? and even the rerelease for twewy sucks like i am Never gonna forgive them for having a perfect Final Boss Hallway where its just neku, alone, only the sound of his footsteps echoing, so you really feel the weight of whats about to happen. and. in the rerelease. THEY ADDED A FUCKING SONG THERE. THE WEIGHT. THE IMPACT. ABSOLUTELY RUINED BECAUSE THE RERELEASE DOESNT WANT YOU TO NOT HAVE MUSIC EVEN FOR A FUCKING SECOND. the gameplay now having you call your friends as summons also go against the (AMAZING) ludonarrative resonnance of the og one (you both fight together on different planes!!! and you, the player, have to learn to juggle that and "have them fight together"!!!!) is dumb but it was the ds it had two screens ill let it slide. but as for neo twewy. like listen. the biggest draw for twewy is the story, and how those kids deal with being dead. what they left behind. what they will never get back. what they could win! its about a second chance at life! and neo is about. well actually youre not dead youre just in alternate shibuya prison ig. go save the world or something. like NO!!!! this means you know EXTREMELY little about those characters and what they love because there is no reason for the story to talk about those!!!! which is SUCH A SHAME because they all have such good potential!!!!!!! and also fanservice-wise i dont even mind beat and neku being there its fine but NEKU WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU. HEALED BOVINE-EYED FREAK. he had SUCH A FUN PERSONALITY in the og and now he is just "=w= im just happy to be here!" BRO YOU WERE IN THE TORMENT NEXUS FOR YEARS I THINK YOU SHOULD BE /MORE/ FUCKED UP THAN IN THE OG ACTUALLY. YOUR PERSONALITY. SIPHONED AWAY. i dont actually remember anyone's name in neo thats how ass it was to me. it was plot over character which is So Valid but to me is The Worst Thing You Could Do.
