Our Sprintathon kicks off in less than 8 hours!

This is going on allllll weekend, lasting 40 hours, so please come join us when you've got a task that needs focus.

The sprintathon event is for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you need to accomplish, and require a little push to get done.

I've included our bingo cards for the event. They are optional, but if you're goal oriented, they are a fun way to check off progress. We will also have a spreadsheet to log items as well.

To celebrate the beloved Fairy Tale, from dark to 'Disney', we present Duality: a Fairy Tale fest about contrast. Choose your path, and remember, sometimes, it's not Grandma you need to be afraid of.

These works can have dark elements, mature themes, triggers (correctly tagged), and redemption arcs, but MUST have good triumphing over evil, and be HEA/implied HEA. - Voldemort's Version prompts are dark versions - darker themes, curses, violence, Dead Dove. The world is your oyster. - Minimum word count: 1000 words. NO MAXIMUM. - For this fest, no Dramione, Wolfstar, Drarry, Tomarrymort, or Snarry, as well as canon or next gen pairings will be accepted (you can include the pairings as side pairings but not the main relationship). We will not be taking feedback on this decision. - WIPs are welcome but the first chapter needs to be completed by the deadline. - No AI - All works are due by August 16th, but releases will be staggered from August 21st, so if you need an extension, please reach out via Discord @Larlot or through the @cursesandchaos or @larlotte.ao3 pages on Instagram - Existing works: existing works may be used but ONLY if there's no more than one chapter posted. Any more, it can't be used (NOTE: it will make your work anonymous when you submit it) - You must utilise the archive warning and tagging systems properly. In order to ensure all things are properly tagged, we will not be accepting works marked as ‘creator chose not to use archive warnings.’ If a warning applies, please tag it as such. June Sprint-a-thon is coming your way!

Rainy Days Sprint-a-thon is back for June and it's bigger than ever!

Dates: 13th - 15th June

We've made a few adjustments: this event will now span three days, over *40 hours* to crush those goals!

We will still be running the scheduled sprints, but there will be down time in between where you can choose to run your own.

As always, you're welcome to drop in and out at any point, and we have even changed some of the bingo prompts!

Horcrux Hunt - a WIP Challenge - Part One

Do you need some motivation to finish a WIP? Are your WIPs piling up, and you've got chapters to write? Is there an older WIP you've been ignoring, and you want to shake off the dust and get back to it?

Then this challenge is the one for you!

This will be a story-led, team-based adventure that encourages writing, editing, and completing those WIPs!

*You will be placed in your teams prior to the event so you have time to meet everyone before kick off. You do not need to be logged in at the start time, but we do recommend planning a time you can meet as a group on the first day in your chat room. There will not be any group writing. You will focus on your own WIPs during the challenge.*

I’m At The End Of My Trope Fest

We all have our favorite tropes, amirite?

So why not have a fest that focuses solely on popular tropes?

Add in a sprinkle of tags and voilà!

A fest is born.

Claiming Opens: April 1st 2026

Specifics:

This is a Rare Pair Fest!!

Dramione, Drarry, Snarry, and Wolfstar pairings are not allowed. All other couples, triads, and more are acceptable.

How It Works: (see included prompt teaser pic)

- Each prompt will include the primary trope, as well as three "grab bags of tags" to choose from.

- Pick the prompt and select the bag of tags you'd like to incorporate into your fic! You must use at least two of the tags in your story.

- Author's Choice prompts require use of ALL TAGS within each chosen bag.

- 1 prompt per person. If you finish and submit and would like to claim additional prompts, you are free to do so at that time.

- 4 claims allowed per regular prompt.

- Author's Choice prompts can have up to 6 claims. Any extra claims WILL be removed.

Rules:

- Harry Potter Fandom Only (No Cross-Overs)

- Creators 18+ years old only

- Fics Submissions: Minimum 1k words / No MAX

- WIPs / Multi-Chapters allowed; must still meet the 1k word minimum requirement at time of submission.

- This is a Rare Pair (ish) Fest! We could always debate the meaning of "rare pair", but for this fest, no Dramione, Wolfstar, Drarry, or Snarry pairings will be accepted. All other pairings, triads, and more are acceptable. (you can include the 4 pop pairings as side pairings but not the main relationship)

- Works must be original and never before released. You may add to other collections after the fics are revealed.

- Absolutely no AI - NO EXCEPTIONS

- No pedophilia, no necrophilia, no cannibalism, no underage sex. Everything else goes, as long as your fic is properly tagged

- All ratings allowed

- Cannot have “Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings”, pick at least "No Archive Warnings Apply”

- This fest is NOT anonymous.

- Teasing is allowed and highly recommended! Please tag us so we can scream about it with you!

- Betas are not required but are encouraged. Please reach out if you need assistance finding one.
