This post isn't meant to be a call-out post, a degrading post, or targetting specific creators. I say this all with the intent of bringing awareness and education to the writers on tumblr.
It seems that people have forgotten about tumblr decency and respect when it comes to tumblr tagging.
Tagging is very important when it comes to posting, and it is crucial that creators tag their works properly. Mostly within the x reader community.
You need to tag your x reader fics as x reader because not everyone is looking for x reader content.
You need to tag your x reader fics with gendered readers if you have gendered readers in your work because not everyone wants fem reader or male reader fics. and don't tag work as "gn reader" if it has specified pronouns used.
You need to tag your smut fics as smut because not everyone wants to read your smut. Not to mention that minors can't filter your work if it isn't tagged as 18+ content.
You need to tag your oc x canon work as that because not everyone wants to read oc x canon.
When creators don't tag their stuff properly, it makes blocking the tags hard for individuals. We, as a community, need to be aware that the tags exist for a reason, and tags are like warnings for readers so they know if they want to read something or not. It can be seen as deceiving as well.
It is especially crucial that you tag the content properly if you have dark content in your works. Trigger warnings are the most important thing to have when it comes to making content.
With all of that said, please tag your works properly because your works will heavily affect the individuals reading them.
݁ 🍋˖Ი𐑼➴ Characters?: March
݁ 🍐˖Ი𐑼➴ Reader?: GN Reader
݁ 🫐˖Ი𐑼➴ Total Word Count: 3.1k
₊🍏˚⊹ ᰔ➴ Summary?: Now that it's summer, it means fun in the sun! Relaxing with a lemonade in your hand and enjoying all that the beach can bring. But what if one red head actually wants you to join him on his beach break?
₊🍓˚⊹ ᰔ➴ A/n?: Since March won the poll, and it's summer, I thought, what would be better than this tsundere getting flustered with a beach day
March || Drink on the Sand
Summertime came by fast to Mistria. The small town was a buzz to celebrate by making everything fit the summer dream. Jody and Hemlock stocked up on cold drinks for their customers to enjoy. Celine decorated the town with in-season flowers. Mainly roses, per Elsie's request. The entire town felt the spirit of the sun. Every day one group of friends would go to the beach to enjoy the fleeting moments of the warm sun and cool water to embrace them. Even when there was work to be done, the residents found time to greet the beach with a smile.
The grumpy blacksmith had his own summer plans, too. Every week he would join some of his friends to enjoy the sounds of the ocean. It was a drastic difference to the fire roaring in the forge. The heat barely bothered him, though that didn't mean his brother wouldn't worry. March would often neglect himself when he was so focused on his work. It's what Olric believed made him such a hard worker. The blacksmith would constantly insist that he never needed help. That he could manage everything on his own. Even when he was swamped with work, he could still find time to enjoy the beach. March just told himself that he would work twice as hard the next day. He rinsed and repeated this mentality with no interruptions. People tried to pull him away. His brother especially. But March never budged. It would take something magical for the man to change the way he worked.
Magic which resided in the new farmer who wormed their way into the blacksmith's stubborn heart.
Your arrival in Mistria was seen as a pain to March. He was a stubborn individual and saw you as something temporary. Temporary help that would leave as soon as the town rank rose enough to stabilize all of the residents. He didn't see why Adeline requested the help of outsiders. He tried to convince her that the residents could do everything on their own if they just pulled together. His opinions remained as strong as his swing on the anvil outside his shop. His eyes would catch you passing by. They would trail after you as you followed after Eiland on some excavation project the two of you were working on. It made him feel irritated that you fit in so well in Mistria. March was further annoyed to see you at the inn every Friday Night, making your rounds like you knew everyone for your whole life. Every single time he noticed you, he would scoff, mumbling something about 'not needing you around.'
There were small moments where March's guard relented. Mostly when he was drunk. His face would be all blushy, almost the same shade as his hair, and he would sip a beer while watching you move around the inn. Hemlock would make a comment about the boy's gaze following you. He'd make some comparison about how he used to stare at Jody like that before they had gotten married. March waved his hand dismissively. He didn't want his staredown to be interrupted. Eventually, you would share your greetings with him, and he'd blurt out something stupid his drunk mind forced him to voice.
"Your hair smells nice."
That's how March managed to find you more tollerable over time. He would let you stick around the forge for longer. He would claim it was because Olric needed the company, but his older brother rarely ever seemed lonely. He had companions in flesh and in rock forms. March couldn't bring himself to admit he was doing this for himself because his heart wouldn't rest unless you were around him. No matter the season or time of day, March would offer himself as company for you while you did chores around your farm. Though rather subtly.
"I've been meaning to check out the hinges and all the metalwork on your house. Now's a better time than any."
"Ryis was telling me about the coops you had built recently. Told me the doors weren't working right lately. Let me check on them for you."
Sooner or later he lost excuses to be around you without making it seem it was what he really wanted. March stopped saying anything and would just show up. Sitting in the little pen you made for the chickens to roam about without going too far, with a chick in his lap. That became a common sight upon your farm. From time to time he would help you out with your crops too. He'd admire the metalwork on the watering can. It was something you made with the ore in the mines. You had learned his art rather quickly. It pissed March off. Less than how proud it made him.
The years had passed along, and you became a staple individual to Mistria's community. You had worked your ass off to make the town become famous among the kingdom. You alone had managed to bring in more vendors for the Saturday Market. Wheedle, the miscreant, and Taliferro, the noble chef, had taken on the agreement to set up their stalls in Mistria because you worked to get the materials. Every little thing you did for the wellbeing of the town hadn't gone unnoticed by March. You had become a named hero for everyone around you. It made sense. You were an adventurer, so you probably saved countless lives. But you did more than that. You saved a town.
That meant you deserved all the rest the world could offer. And then some.
"Hey, [Name]. I uhm... I brought some bread for you."
March greeted you at the steps that lead into town. He caught you before you could head over to do your chores. He held out a paper bag to you. An offering for a small peaceful moment before your day had become too occupied. The summer sun was going to make the morning become unbearable too.
"How sweet of you, March!"
You took the bag with grateful hands. It was rare that you were on the receiving end of such a kind gesture. The smile you returned to him made March almost trip over his feet. He had to bite his tongue really hard not to say something stupid. Before you had the chance to dismiss him, he stood tall in front of you.
"There was something else I wanted to share with you."
"What is it?"
The blacksmith had to steady himself. This was the first time he was asking someone who wasn't Ryis to hang out with him outside of working. You stared at him with soft eyes. Your demeanor made it so difficult to get the words out without stuttering. It took a lot of power to make his request come out comprehensible.
"I... Would you like to go to the beach with me tomorrow?"
March watched you for any hint of rejection. A sign that would indicate that you found his request silly. All sorts of things you could possibly say had already gone through his head on the walkover to your farm. He was so wrapped up in the idea of you rejecting him before saying anything that he was nearly floored when you said yes.
"I would love to! I haven't been able to go recently. The crops have been needing more tending as of late, so the time just gets eaten up. I've been needing some of my own TLC. I greatly appreciate the offer, March."
He tried to make the sigh of his relief seem discrete. In doing so, he just started nodding way too much. It was making his head hurt from the rapid movement. March tried to still his body. It was a great effort to do such. His excitement was trying to find a way out. To free itself through screaming or rapid movement. Nothing else was said between you two. It was rather awkward just standing there, letting the day waste away. He had dismissed himself with little speaking. His quickened footsteps hit the stone stairs harshly. March had left you to go about your day without holding you up for much longer. Plus, he had to run to his room to scream the joys of you accepting his offer into his pillow. Olric was quite confused when his brother had asked him to cover the shop for the next couple hours. March rarely acted as foolishly as this. But you made him feel like he was floating above the clouds. Even with his earlier stubbornness from when he first met you, he always had a feeling that you would become special. He had never considered you becoming special to him. Two years, and he's barely been able to showcase that he does appreciate you.
Tomorrow hadn't come soon enough. March had spent all night having Reina help him make some snacks you would like. It was 3 A.M. before he got home. His whole body was exhausted, but so worth the effort to see you smile. Just a token to know that he was making the amends you deserved. The morning was a rush to get up, get ready, and beat you to the beach so he could set everything up. He didn't know why he wanted to surprise you with a picnic, but it felt right. You had said you needed TLC so March was ready to give you it in droves.
Waiting for you so early in the morning and with so little sleep was a pain. March had to stay, though, so as to not abandon the food for the pesky gulls to steal. The sun kept him warm from the salty sea wind that kissed his skin. Wandering thoughts popped in here and there while he waited. The one that stuck the most was what you would wear. Would you wear your normal clothes? No, of course not. It was the beach; you'd probably want to wear something comfortable. He couldn't fathom the possibility of you in a swimsuit. Just the brief consideration of such a thing had him blushing. Why couldn't he be normal when it came to you? He used to be once, but you turned him into a mess. An easily flustered mess.
"I'm here! Sorry I'm late! Feeding the animals had taken a lot longer than I thought. They didn't want me to leave."
You ran down to the beach in a flurry. Sand kicked up from your feet with how rushed you seemed. You gasped for air once you were granted the gift of a break from running. He never shot up to his feet so fast. He met you halfway from the picnic spot he set out. His throat went dry at the sight of you. Your hair was a mess from the rush over. Your skin was slightly dampened with sweat as evidence of your hard work in the morning. The thing he zeroed in on was the thing he was mulling over all morning.
You were in a swimsuit. And you looked way too good in it. How the hell was he supposed to look you in the eyes now when your presence was nothing less than divine? March turned his head away to make it seem like he wasn't staring.
"I-It's fine... I get it. Hayden takes longer when Henrietta needs extra tending to. Come sit. I.. I brought snacks..."
Saying it out felt so silly. Admitting he took the time to prep so much for you was even sillier. March just sat back down on the blanket, patting the seat beside him to offer to you. With the offer of a place to rest, you didn't waste any time. A loud sigh that came from the soul escaped from you. Having the chance to just sit became a rarity these past seasons. The demand for your supply and aid became heavy upon your shoulders. March recognized it all. Saw it in himself before you had thawed his heart to become more receptive to your help. You really needed this beach day.
"Did you make all of these yourself?"
Your inquiry wasn't registered by the man next to you. Not right away. He was too focused on watching you admire the food in your hands. The smile he expected you to adorn was brighter than he remembered. It was only when you looked at him with that smile did he fully process what you had asked. He nodded curtly, not knowing what to say.
"It's good."
Your simple comment made March feel all sorts of flustered. Your compliments were something he could never see himself being used to. Watching you eat the things he made with all the hard work he put in was fulfilling, though. Knowing that he could provide for you in such small ways made him feel happy. It was only a small thing, sure, but it allowed you a moment of stillness in the never-ending movement of farm life. While you ate, you stared at the waves lapping against the sand. The water seemed enticing. Especially in the heat of the sun. March followed your line of sight, seeing how you seemed to be longing for the water.
"You wanna swim? I'll race you to the water."
He didn't give you any time to get up. He was already on his feet and running toward the ocean. March was always one to have competitions with you. From big to small, he always wanted to be on top. At first, it was to show that he was better than you. That you couldn't match up to his capabilities. Now, though, with his changed view of you, he did it to show you that he could be strong. That he could do the same things you could to showcase his capabilities in being able to help you. Once he had reached the water, he turned. You were falling behind, probably from wanting to preserve the food he didn't give you a chance to finish. March held out his hand for you to take. To support you and give you something to lean against if you didn't want to stand.
With your hands intertwined and you in the water, March tugged you close. He held you close to him. His arms were tight around your body, making sure to keep you pressed against his chest. It was so out of the blue that you let out a squeak. Where had this come from?
"March? Is everything okay?"
"You know you can depend on me sometimes, right?"
You were in bewilderment by the suddenness of it all. March rarely handled your presence like you were something fragile. That you were someone who needed the constant aid of another.
"I know."
"You can always come to me for help... For anything. Like you told me, it's okay to have help."
The water folding softly against your bodies added to it all. To March, this was something so crucial to say. There was some guilt of turning this calm outing into exposing the worries of his for you. You were his farmer. The one who challenged him the most. The one who allowed him to have soft moments like these without judgment.
"Is this why you invited me to the beach?"
Your question wasn't one with critique. It wasn't angry either. You just wanted to know the motives behind this beach day he proposed to you. He shook his head frantically. His hair swayed side to side; you could almost see the roots of his original hair color.
"No. I mean, not originally. Look. I know you tend to overwork yourself. You do all this work without giving yourself a chance to relax. Even on Friday nights, you're working endlessly to socialize and finish up the quests you were put on. I wanted to give you a chance to actually enjoy yourself."
He finally poured his heart out. The things his mind voiced to him while he worked on the food so late in the evening. The worries that ate at him when he saw you working on the farm when he visited you. March knew firsthand what burnout felt like. How it left someone paralyzed. He wouldn't allow you to undergo such things when he was there to offer himself. You were left astounded by the declaration. You never even perceived that March cared so deeply about you in such a way. The times he was around, silently helping you without asking. Pulling the weeds, watering the plants, trying to feed the animals. It was all clicking right then and there. He cared about you; he just never knew how to put words to it.
You leaned in closer to him, fully accepting him as someone to lean on. As a pillar in your life that would be there without you ever needing to say anything. It was surreal to acknowledge that you had someone so close to you that you never recognized as anything more than just a friendly gesture. Your hands found themselves on March's cheeks. The sun made his eyes look like onyx. The ocean embraced you both as this intimate moment was shared.
"Thank you. For... everything you've been doing. I'm sure I would be worked into the ground without it."
Your gratitude came out in a whisper. You rested your head on his shoulder, and, for March's part, he held you. He cradled your body in the strength of his arms. It had been the warmest embrace you had ever experienced. That moment felt like magic. The same magic that he came to be accustomed to the first time he felt his heart race when he talked to you years ago.
"And thank you, [Name]. For being the one to encourage me to be more open. More accepting of myself and being okay with assistance."
You meant everything to him. This beach day had only been the first that was planned for the season. He had deeply hoped you would allow him to take you out like this more. A picnic in the Summit or Eastern Roads sounded delightful.
"Would you like to hang out with me like this again? If you have the time?"
"I'll always have the time for you, March. You only need to say one word, and I would drop everything for you."
It was safe to say that this beach day had been more than a success. March felt a great deal of pride in being able to provide for you like this. In all the ways one would a partner. Maybe that would be the next step, but he would need more time to gather the courage to even consider such a thing.

݁ 🍋˖Ი𐑼➴ Characters?: Reina
݁ 🍐˖Ი𐑼➴ Reader?: GN Reader (Male Implied)
݁ 🫐˖Ი𐑼➴ Total Word Count: 1.1k
₊🍏˚⊹ ᰔ➴ Summary?: Reina as a lover to you! What I think she would be like at the start of the relationship, during date nights, and in general cute couple things I think she would do
₊🍓˚⊹ ᰔ➴ A/n?: I hope it's okay to also tag this as GN reader with male reader implied!
Reina || General Headcannons
Reina would be the one to confess first. She would do it through small talk mostly. Dropping subtle hints as best as she can. When she feels confident enough, she shares her deeper feelings for you with her family. Her mother and father are extremely happy and supportive. They tried to gush about their romance when they were young, which was interrupted by Maple's scheming for the perfect date. Luc is just excited that you make his big sister so happy. Reina expresses her feelings for you soon after with a homemade meal and an elaborate card. Celine helped her with picking a flower to go with it.
Reina would be a little nervous at first in the relationship. She wants to make you happy but feels rather insecure due to her skills only focusing on cooking. You reassure her that she is more than just cooking and baking. You offer to teach her the things you're good at. A cute date idea that you two do often is woodcarving with Landen. You and Reina make matching sets of wooden bowls, spoons, forks, and plates. It piles up quite nicely as she becomes rather skilled at it. The cutlery is perfect for when she moves into your home.
When she becomes more comfortable around you, Reina becomes quite affectionate. She's not constantly kissing you, nor is she clingy. She indulges in meaningful touches. A tight squeeze when you greet her in the morning. A soft kiss to your cheek as you depart for your daily tasks. Every night when it hits 8 pm, you always manage to see her. She offers you a meal, and she just listens to you talk about your day. All the while she holds your hand rather tightly, rubbing her thumb across your knuckles.
Reina does worry a lot about you when you do your mining ventures. The first time you return with really bad injuries, she rushes you to Valen. She doesn't want to risk anything getting worse. Valen does her best to calm Reina down, but she isn't leaving your side. Now, however, Reina loads you up with meals of all kinds. She isn't going to let you get that injured anymore. It's her way of caring for you without being too overbearing. She understands that you are capable of handling yourself in dangerous situations, but one can't be too careful. This way of caretaking is how she expresses her love for you.
Reina would want to live with you after a while. She feels ready when she finds herself staying over at your farm longer and longer. The first time she stayed at your house, you provided her with everything she could need. A pair of comfy pajamas, facial products for the morning, and a special pillowcase for her hair. She holds you so tight when she sleeps beside you in your bed. You have always been so considerate to others, but this just seals the deal for her. About two weeks after, she has all her things packed and ready to live with you.
Reina absolutely adores your farm. She does add her own touches to it, yes, but she asks you before anything else. This is your farm first and foremost, and she wouldn't want to ruin the way things are. You always approve of her ideas, though. They add a cute charm to your farm. Reina also loves having access to fresh ingredients. And everything you've hoarded from the seasons before. Your kitchen is a culinary dream. She almost feels bad for using up your collection.
Reina will babysit Dell, Maple, and Luc whenever you're free. She thinks of it as an exercise for when you have your own children. Not to mention you two seem to make the three children so happy. You both play with them and tell them super fun stories. Maple is especially happy to have free access to your farm because of all the cute animals you own. She gets free rein to pet them all. That's what she told you and her sister anyway. Luc enjoys looking at all your terrariums and asking you how you managed to collect and manage all of them. Dell is trying to get into your more dangerous supplies. It's a hassle, but Reina does her best to appease all three of them.
Reina is the type to dream about her wedding. She has a notebook of ideas she has for when she gets married. The menu was the first and easiest thing to figure out. She has Louis help her with wedding dress details and Celine with the flower arrangements. She asks Aedline to officiate. March makes the rings. Her choice of ring is an emerald and ruby combo. She thinks diamonds are rather bland, and the gems were founded by you anyway. It's far more sentimental. She does want Josephine and Hemlock to walk her down the aisle together. Every detail is practically perfect and so much better when it's you working to make sure it's just as she wishes.
Reina does take on the housewife role rather instinctively. However, you two share responsibilities and switch them every week to keep things fair. You don't want her overworking, and she wants to learn more about farm life. Her favorite thing is cooking with you during major meals. You share some of the recipes you took from home. Sometimes it ends up in a food fight, and you two have to have dinner at the inn. It's wonderful to check in with her family from time to time. Her favorite thing to make with you is pies. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, and any other type of pie ever. Mostly because you make the crust have fun shapes on the top.
Reina would want kids. She would want about three if you could manage them. They would be the last thing in her mind, though, because you have animals you're already caring for. Not to mention your crops. The two of you have extensive talks about it. The first step is the nursery you and Ryis work on together. She picks the wallpaper, and you pick the floor style. It ends up looking like a storybook setting. All pastels and bright colors.
Reina is an overall very loving girlfriend and wife. Her biggest strengths are communication and gift-giving. Though she does end up doing a little too much in the gift-giving department, so it can seem a little suffocating. Her weakness is that she becomes rather anxious when asking for things. She always double-checks with you even when you provided your consent prior. She is a gentle lover as well who can overly worry when you aren't caring for yourself. Overall, with a little communication, some reassurance, and a lot of teamwork, you and Reina are a wonderful and loving couple who would go to the ends of the earth for each other.

Balor || A stop by the Cart
Balor had taken great pride in keeping his cart clean. It was his means of funding, so it only made sense to have all of his goods showcased with some flourish. It aided in selling themselves. A single look and anyone who passed by would agree that Balor was the kind of merchant to care about the little details. The small things that would go unnoticed by a novice or an individual that didn't pay great attention to their supplies were the things he caught on to. His customers loved it. It made it easy to find what one needed and possibly what one might want.
But when it came to being the main merchant for Mistria? Well, Balor had seemed to have more time on his hands than what he was used to. Having to be the main connection to the Capital wasn't easy. He had to haul the heaviest things in and out to aid the townsfolk as well as to have a healthy cash flow that allowed him to have such good prices compared to others. There were days where Balor dreaded such tasks. Where he would complain about his back aching during breakfast to Hemlock. Raving about how he would never carry a bed into the capital overnight on his own ever again. No amount of complaining would keep him away from his duties completely, though.
And there was one single perk to the strenuous work he pushed through.
Helping the town's beloved farmer. The adventurer that was sent in hopes of aiding in raising Mistria's reputation after the disastrous earthquake left it in ruins. They had been doing a wonderful job thus far. If not for them, Balor wouldn't have easy access to the Capital and outside cities. He remembered when he had met them by the bridge. It had been broken down at the time. He took their hand and lept across the unstable stone that was left. That was when he promised to help them in any way he could. Within reason, of course.
He hadn't thought that such a promise would be the reason he would see you nearly every day and that it would be the highlight of his time within this small town. It was meant to be a one-off offer to show he had a good heart. That he was dependable. It did wondrous things for sales. But he had been thinking less and less about Tesserae.
Spring had started once more. You were officially a part of the town for one full course of the seasons. A mere taste of the farmer's life, and you were reaping its bounty. Balor found himself jealous that you took such ease in a new place. You moved around the same amount when you were an adventurer. The Guild had you going every which way to complete odd jobs. So seeing you fit so well? Slotted in as if you were meant to be here? He felt a little lost.
"Ah [Name], what a pleasure it is to see you this fine morning. Is there anything you need? I have some odds and ends, but if there's a special order you'd like from the Capital, I wouldn't mind being of aid."
Balor greeted you with his usual charming smile. As if he were ready to sway you on a deal. However, he held no intention of such. In his heart, he felt the pull to keep you there. The conversation felt natural. It flowed like the light wind that allowed the pollen of flowers to spread. Flowers he was sure you would pick the moment they bloomed. You had become rather skilled at foraging after coming to Mistria. He felt bad for ever laughing at the meager things you sold before you got your bearings. He understood that everyone starts somewhere. They can't pick and choose their means of income.
"I'm quite alright, Balor. I actually wanted to stop by. Catch up if you have the time."
He had to take a step back. He was rather caught off guard at such a thing. Many of the townsfolk would stop by his cart. Balor didn't get much business, so he appreciated the conversation that filled his time. Conversation from you, though, felt wrong. Not that he didn't want to talk with you, but you were busy. Far busier than him. You had foraging, mining, farming, animal caretaking, and the commissions you take from the request board. You were always moving. Always doing. Balor felt honored to be the one you chose to be still with. Even if it was just a small moment.
"For you? I'll always have time."
Balor did little of the conversing. He simply listened to your chatter. He didn't think he would enjoy the tales of your barn animals. Your animals rival the sass of Henrietta. He tried to pay attention to what you were saying. He caught the ranting of sales prices and the rush of the starting season of spring. His brain had decided to tune out your voice to focus on your hair. It told a story all on its own. The whisps of misplaced strands that spoke of hard work. Your forehead was slightly dampened from the sweat, no doubt the fruits of your labor. There was something breathtaking about such a look. It was proof that you were working. Your hands were no doubt tired from whatever you had been doing this morning.
Without even speaking, he pulled out something from his wagon. A few hair clips he had picked up for his sales. He had expected Maple to come up to try and purchase them. Josephine had become rather strict about how the girl spent her money. He leaned in closer. His hands hovered over your hair before he finally committed. He clipped two heart-shaped hair clips onto the loose strings of your hair.
"Balor?"
The man only shook his head. He knew what you were worried about. He could see it in your eyes.
"Don't worry about paying. They're on the house. Think of them as an anniversary gift. I don't think we got the chance to celebrate your coming to Mistria over a year ago. Why not join me at the inn later tonight so we can do it properly?"
Somehow a simple afternoon conversation had become an invitation to a date. Not that you had any clue as to the merchant's intentions. Those heart clips were only the gateway to the spoiling he had planned. All because you happened to be something permanent in Balor's life. A rarity in his ever-fast-paced existence.
Eiland || Tripping over Artifact Mounds
Eiland was one who loved spending his time alone in the outdoors. Meticulously looking over every little thing that screamed history. His brain was in a constant quest of knowledge, and no amount of searching would ever satiate his hunger. He loved looking over artifacts. Decoding the languages engraved on them. His favorite part, however, was searching for them. Nothing felt better than finding a fresh find after a long dig. It was why he spent so long in the Western Ruins during the summer. It was the perfect time to look over piles of dirt to search for something extraordinary.
Getting his hands dirty was second nature. No amount of nobleman prestige would keep Eiland away. He was one sworn to preserving the history of Aldaria. Notebooks were stacked high in his study. Reference guides to all sorts of historical facts littered the floors. If he wasn't out analyzing the old stoneware of MIstria then he was sitting in his study overlooking guidebooks. A piece of cake set neatly aside as a reward. Usually these things were done on his own. Errol would lend the boy his aid, but there was only so much an old man could do.
Safe to say that your interest in archaeology excited the nobleman. Another who was interested in the history of old? Say no more. The finding of Caldarus' statue was just the start. He didn't think the new farmer would pursue much archeology after that. Eiland was fine being the only one around to be so passionate about it. But when you decided to pursue it with him after that? Let's just say Adeline couldn't sleep well that night because a certain someone was screaming into his pillow the whole night. She had to make him tea the very next morning.
As time continued, Eiland felt himself feel oddly closer to you. He was an oblivious individual, yes, but he still felt the shift of your dynamic. Late nights of overlooking the findings ended with you tucked in his bed and him on the floor. Afternoons were met with tea picnics for breaks amidst the warm sun. The colder seasons where you didn't wear enough layers were spent with him fussing over you. He often offered his cloak to you so you wouldn't freeze. He didn't need his favorite assistant freezing and catching the flu. Valen would have his head otherwise. It wasn't until Aunt Elsie had spoken up about his glowing radiance a lover may have when appreciating their partner that Eiland connected the dots. He felt himself become ever more flustered when Adeline agreed about his change in demeanor.
Summer couldn't have come soon enough. You had resided in Mistria for a full year now. You've become rather accustomed to the way things were. You've become a local legend to the townies of Mistria. Having supported the changes Adeline wanted to impose upon the small town and funding all the projects, it was only natural for everyone to adore you. It worried Eiland that you might have been overworked by his sister, regardless of how well you've been doing. He had done his best to make such concerns known to you. He really did. Yet, you always deliberately shut down his unease. As such, his worries blended into his favorite time of the day. Sitting out in the summer sun while analyzing the dig site in the Western Ruins. He cursed the aching need to know where you were. To know that you were taking a break from the relentless grind farming was putting you through.
"Why can't they comprehend that they deserve to rest from time to time? I mean, I understand that Aedeline has goals for the town. But isn't it unfair to expect one sole person to fund and gather the needed resources for the upgrades she wishes to provide?"
Eiland had been muttering to himself for the past hour. He had been so preoccupied with the contemplation of his own rhetorical questions that he hadn't registered that you had tread upon the ruins. There you witnessed his relentless pacing. It seemed quite intense from the way his shoes kicked up dirt. The distraction of his thoughts was broken the moment you got closer. His breath hitched at your presence. Were you watching him the whole time? His face flushed at the mere ideation that you caught the words that left his worried breath. Such worrisome judgment had been cut short when Eiland saw you coming closer to a less-than-obvious mound in the ground.
He had no time to call out to you. You were already caught on it and falling toward the grassy earth. Eiland had never acted so fast. Luckily you were close, so he didn't have to run too far. He cushioned your fall with his chest, holding onto you tightly to ensure you were steady. You could hear the rapid pace of his heartbeat. The same rhythm you found yourself listening to when he insisted you lay your head upon his shoulder when you sat beside him. After looking you over to ensure you weren't injured, Eiland guided you to a shaded area to sit. He insisted he had to make sure you didn't tweak your ankle. Your back rested against a tree trunk as its leaves covered you both from the warm summer sun.
"You need to pay attention when you're in the Ruins, [Name]. You never know what might be under your feet."
Eiland relaxed a bit. Your ankle hadn't been injured. With a breath, he raised his head to face you. His eyes held more worry than you've ever seen him carry. It was quite odd from someone so carefree.
"I...I know you've said as such before, but I couldn't help but be distracted. You were pacing and you just looked so..."
"So what?"
Eiland pushed. He wanted to comprehend what you were thinking. What you had seen when you witnessed his anxious pacing.
"So cute."
His cheeks flushed. The color had seemed to match the shade of his hair. He was caught off guard by such a declaration. So much so that he couldn't process the movement of his own body. His arms reached around you to embrace you in the tightest hug you had ever experienced. Eiland wanted to do more than hold you. He wanted to press kiss after kiss upon your cheek. However, he didn't think you two were close enough for such activities.
"That's no excuse for not paying attention to where you were going."
Eiland's voice didn't carry a heavy weight of seriousness. But much rather a softer one that was trying to hide his embarrassment. No matter what you did or said, you always left him feeling more breathless than any rare find he would ever discover within the ruins.
Caldarus || Falling into the pond
Caldarus had never thought he would find companionship in his state of stone. He would watch the wind blow without a care for everything around it. He'd witness rainstorms express their power through lightning and thunder. Not to mention he was the one who attended to many bird families that had decided his statue was a great perch for a nest. Caldarus couldn't help the jealousy of the feathered critters. He wanted companionship like that. A being to bond with for life and have his own little nest. Maybe some dragonlings that would be the byproduct of such a relationship. All of it was mere fantasy for him. For as long as he was a statue, there was no one coming to provide him such comforts. At times he found himself thinking, how could a mighty dragon be deigned such a lifeless fate? What had he done to earn such punishment? He could not remember any sins if he had any.
There was change to come that Caldarus couldn't have ever expected. He felt the earth shake. A sign of immense change. The earthquake that hit Mistria had been huge. It had devastated parts of the town. So much so that there was an urgent call for aid. You had been the one who would answer the call. The one to help pull Mistria out of disaster. The one to be a friend to Caldarus. The dragon had never even considered a human would be his savior. You were something special. You had a good heart. A brilliant mind. And a hardworking soul that didn't know much of rest. He had considered his existence to be forever lonely. When he reached out to you, he didn't think you would consider it to be real. It was quite the shock when you talked back to him. You would even go as far as to talk to him daily. Even with the amount of tasks you had to complete. He treasured the amount of dedication you put into forming a connection with him.
Caldarus had felt the need to repay you for the immense amount of kindness you had shared with him. Saving you from the sealing scroll wasn't enough repayment. He had taken on a human form. Maybe this had been a blessing in disguise. With this new form he could hold you. He could take care of you effortlessly. His most favored way of appreciating you had been cooking. He had very limited skill in it, but he still tried. He found culinary arts to be rather intriguing. Caldarus would also find flowers for you within his residence in the Deep Woods. He had been lucky that some of the seasonal blossoms reached as far as the thick woodland forest. He had come to learn that humans appreciated variety.
Having been autumn already, the dragon had envisioned providing you with something warm when you visited him next. He had thought to share one of his favorites. Seafood Boil. With his own twists, of course. Caldarus didn't have access to prime ingredients like you, so he was left to improvise a few things. He had decided to try his hand at fishing in the pond nearby. With his luck, you had provided him with a fishing rod. One you had no use for after making a new one out of better materials. He had been quite invested in fishing. Albeit a bit frustrating when such a small noise drove away the bounty.
He had been so riveted by his activity that he didn't hear the sound of the autumn leaves crunching beneath someone's feet. You had thought not to announce yourself when you saw what Caldarus was doing. It melted your heart when you noticed the rod you had gifted him. You were encountered with a great honor at the sentiment.
"Come along now, fish. You are destined to be my dearest Dragonsworn's dinner."
Caldarus had spoken rather proudly, thinking that the fish would bend to his will if you were involved. Little did he know that such creaters were not imposed by a dragon's command. You found yourself trying to hold in a fit of laughter. You didn't want to disturb him or the fish he was trying to reel in. However, the need to laugh had won. You started cackling so loud, it startled Caldarus. He was so shocked that he had lost his balance. A loud splash broke you out of your giggles. He didn't see anything amusing about this.
"[Name]...Why did you startle me? Do you find it amusing to scare a dragon?"
You tried your best to respond. You truly did, but Caldarus was pouting. And a pouting Caldarus was a cute Caldarus. You meandered closer to the edge of the pond to lower yourself closer to him.
"I hadn't intended to scare you. I only wanted to visit but saw you fishing. I caught you talking to the fish, and I couldn't help but find it funny."
"So you were laughing at me?"
The dragon had somehow managed to look even cuter. The water moved around him while he swam to the edge. It was rather chilly. He wanted to get out as soon as possible. He paused when you held your hand out to him.
"No, Cal. I was laughing at what you said. You know the fish can't bend to your will."
His clawed hand encompassed yours. You used any and all of your upper body strength to hoist him free from the chilly water. The wind had chosen the worst time to pick up. A full-body shiver coursed through Caldarus' body. He hated the feeling.
"Come on. Let's get you inside before you get sick."
His fishing journey had been cut short, much to his disappointment. He shadowed behind you on the way to his home. You wasted no time in starting the fire pit that resided in the middle of the room. He undressed himself to put on dry clothing and robes with your aid. In the end, you had helped him once more.
"Why were you fishing anyway?"
He glanced down to his lap, his thumbs pressing against each other in a bashful motion. It felt odd to admit that he was doing it for the sole purpose to give you something.
"I wanted to try my hand at cooking Seafood Broil. I didn't have the proper ingredients, so I had thought I could fish for my own."
The sound that left your mouth was quite embarrassing to hear. You cooed at the thoughtful gesture from Caldarus. Even without something to prove he was thinking of you, the intent was still there. And that couldn't go ignored. You moved to his side of the fire. Your shoulders touched for a brief moment when you slid your head against his lap. You felt his breath hitch.
"You didn't have to go through such trouble. I could have brought you the ingredients."
He knew that, yes, but he didn't want to put you through more work than you already had. His claws rested atop your head. He made sure to keep his touch soft.
"I had assumed it would taste better if I put in the extra effort."
Silence accompanied his admission. Nothing more was said. Nothing more needed to be spoken. For now, there was no warm food to gift to you. Only a fire and his body heat provided such. And, perhaps, that was better than a meal because it was him warming you up from the chilly weather. Caldarus wouldn't have it any other way.

・ gojo's lost in the willy wonka chocolate factory (shitpost)
Gojo Satoru ate 66 diabetes-inducing Wonka Bars in under an hour.
Why? Because someone (cough—you—cough) wanted to tour the Willy Wonka chocolate factory. "It'd be a cute date!" you'd claimed back then. "It's all the sugar you can eat. Maybe it'll finally satiate that sweet tooth of yours."
And, because apparently, even his all-seeing, all-powerful Six-Eyes couldn't detect which Wonka Bars held the coveted Golden Ticket and which ones were simply overpriced blocks of sugar.
You'd think the eyesight equivalent of a high-definition infrared camera, of which could even see the flow of cursed energy, should be able to detect a slip of cheap paper tucked behind some cheap foil. But no.
All Satoru ever saw when he looked down at the Wonka Bar was: sugar, more sugar, a bit of capitalism, and diabetes crystallized at an atomic level.
Yum. And he still has a sweet tooth like that? You bet he does.
No use in complaining about it now, anyways. What matters is that he won. Sixty-freaking-six Wonka Bars later, sure, but he won. And you both got invited to the famous Willy Wonka chocolate factory.
Except now, you're missing.
Satoru didn't mean to lose you in the factory. Truly. He swears it on his blindfold and status as "the Strongest". One second you were there by his side—giggling, holding his hand, high off chocolate and vibes—and the next?
Gone.
Why is he always losing his loved ones at food-related establishments? This is like losing his best friend in front of the KFC: Sug- you know what. Let's not finish that sentence.
Fast forward an hour and several candy hazards later, Satoru still hasn't found you.
As a sorcerer, he's endured enough weird shit already. But never in his wildest dreams did he ever imagine himself getting snagged in a cotton candy web, jumped by nut-cracking squirrels (yes, nut cracking as in the "low-hanging" kind of nuts), and losing all motor function for a solid five minutes after licking a lollipop. He followed what he thought was your cursed energy through half of the factory, until he realized it was just a pipeline of marshmallow fluff. Marshmallow fluff.
The hunt for you is going great. Fantastic. Peachy.
Mission log: One hour without you. He's eaten about ten questionable confections. Morale is still high. Blood sugar? Even higher.
He's now standing by the chocolate river, hands on his hips, surrounded by what are probably numerous health safety violations. There were still no signs of you; no one else had seen you either. He even consulted with one of those short orange creatures that worked there (Rere, its name was apparently, wouldn't stop singing "oompa loompa doopity doo"). To no avail, they hadn't seen you either.
What odd little creatures they were. Satoru had a hunch they may be curses in disguise, feeding off the gluttonous greed of sticky-fingered kids.
Letting out a loud, overly dramatic sigh, he adjusted his sunglasses and tipped them down the slope of his nose, just enough to allow his eyes to peek over and get a glimpse of—
Wow. Pure nightmare fuel.
The damn factory was alive. The gumdrops? Curses, they're breathing. When he glanced at the bubbling concoction in the corner? It stared right back at him. The candy canes? They have pores. Why the hell do they have pores?
Satoru shoved those sunglasses right back up his nose, huffing in exasperation. He wasn't one to panic, never, but he may very well be out of his element here. Curses? Those were easier to deal with than whatever this was. They were easier to handle. Easier to analyze. Easier to punch out of existence. A chocolate factory that was supposedly alive? That was a new one.
His brain itched with another conspiracy theory, one concerning the esteemed, yet eccentric, chocolate maker. Hunch #2: the chocolate factory was actually a domain. The first thing Satoru had noticed about that Wonka guy was that he had no zero cursed energy. Which was… suspicious. And with that questionable hair and eccentric personality? He definitely wasn't normal.
What if you were potentially in danger?
The thought drifted through his mind, worry briefly settling over him.
It dissipated as soon as it came. Because that was the most ridiculous thought. Knowing you, you'd probably just wandered off, led astray by the sweet, tempting smell of sugar and spice and all things nice. Just like him, you were notorious for your sweet tooth.
Besides, even if something bad were to happen, you were more than capable of handling things on your own. Satoru would even dare to admit that you could hold up in a one-on-one fight with him, the Strongest sorcerer.
Still, he was getting antsy and was missing you. The sooner he found you, the better.
Think. Where would your adorable little chaos-causing gremlin of a partner go running off to?
Is this what love is? Getting high off candy in the Willy Wonka chocolate factory while your soulmate drowns in a chocolate river or is possibly getting serenaded by strange little orange men?
Yeah. It may be.

Yan Dilf Dragon who was a single father with three dragonlings that did more than pull the strands of his hair and gave him the most atrocious bald spots. He had no time to worry over his appearance, however. There was no intention to find a new mate. In his mind, there was no dragon that would do right by his younglings. Embdra and Edtric were rambunctious twins, and Illumnia was clingy even if she was an infant. Plus, the human hunters were encrouching on his territory once more. On top of child rearing, he had to find a new cave to move his family into. The lords above had no amount of celestial energy to even spare him the rest he deserved. There was no capacity of relaxation known to any being that could be what he needed.
Yan Dilf Dragon who leaves his twins behind for only a few minutes to try and find berries for their breakfast. He had Illumnia secured close to his chest while he did so. It was a big misjudgment to even consider Embdra and Edtric to take care of themselves without becoming too curious and leaving the safety of the cave. The panic attack this poor father was about to have had he not found the twin's tracks down to the river bank. Oh how splendorous. His children had drowned. That's the conclusion he had come to when the footsteps ended at the bank. His claws had tightened around the infant, making her squirm. She did not appreciate being her father's stress ball.
Yan Dilf Dragon who perks up at the sounds of mischievous giggles from two very familiar dragon children. His grip let up for a mere moment. He wasted no time bolting over to the source. He was elated to see that his children were safe and unharmed. What spiked his anxiety was the human lying unconscious in the river. He had no clue what to do. Was he to leave this human to die? If he took them in, would they betray him and hurt his family? He was about to do the former before the twins started begging him to keep the human. "Pleaaase daddy can we keep them? They gonna get sick if we leave them here," Embdra pleaded with the soft lilt in her voice that would have her father fold in mere seconds. Edtric would just nod frantically along with his twin sister, stating false facts as to why it would be terrible for them to leave this human behind.
Yan Dilf Dragon who manages to hoist your unconscious body up and over his shoulder. "Come." He commands his children. The twins hastily follow rather close to their father. The three dragonlings start poking your body. Embdra would swing your arms back and forth, not understanding that such exaggerated movements will cause you soreness later on. Edtric poked and prodded your upper arm. He was rather curious about humans. Where were their wings? Their scales? How did they keep warm in the cold without dragon fire to warm their hearts? Yapheth couldn't even begin to imagine the overwhelming bombardment this poor human will be going under once they awaken. And, of course, Illumnia was trying to reach her little hands over to try and pat this new creature on their back. Not even five minutes into walking back to the dragon family's home did all the little ones start whining. One wanted the human to wake up, the other wanted her father to carry her, and the youngest didn't want to be held at all so she could explore.
Yan Dilf Dragon who watches over you despite his abhorrence of all humans. He manages to distract his young ones from the waiting that had to occur while you recovered from whatever had caused you to pass out in the cold river. Midst the night hours, when he should be sleeping, curling his tail around his children to aid them in their slumber, he found himself staying up to keep an eye on you. Be it out of concern or paranoia. Yapheth didn't look away. He couldn't have you running out of the cave and telling the nearest town that you had been kidnapped by a dragon. Or worse, hurting his family with your own hands. However, he took notice at how gentle they were. With just a glance he could tell that you had never taken up a weapon. His curiosity had won over every aching fear in his mind. He crawled closer to you to further examine your physique. You didn't seem to be like the fierce warriors he's beheld when hiding in the forest shadows. He took his clawed hand up, placing it upon your forehead. You felt cold to the touch. Without thinking, Yapheth pulled one of the blankets he had stolen from a trespassing aristocrat and draped it over your body. The movement had caused Illumnia to awake. The infant toddled over to you, seeking out the new warmth. He tried to pull his child away, but she was not having it. Illumnia cuddled up on top of your stomach.
Yan Dilf Dragon who goes out hunting while you're still resting inside the cave. He instructs his children to watch over you. He was strict about not letting you run off when you wake up. The twins promise, and their approach to ensure you don't run off is sitting on top of you. The sight did make him release a rather rare chuckle. It would have become a chortle had Illumnia not tugged on the hanging fabric of his clothes. Her own form of begging her father to stay. He pushed her away, having Embdra hold her tightly. He left without another word. By the time the sun passed the middle point amidst the sky, Yapeth had managed to catch a deer. He had also managed to find a few fruits and vegetables from wild patches around the lake. He had taken a stop by the said lake to skin the deer of its fur. He didn't like doing such a thing in front of his children. He tried to shield them from as much violence as possible. His mind was elsewhere while doing his task. The thought of your presence took over most of it. You were a variable he had never counted on ever being a part of his life. He nearly cut his thumb when he heard a loud shriek. Edtric scrambled over, stumbling over his short legs due to the panic he was under.
Yan Dilf Dragon whose son tells him, "The human's dragon fire is back!" The boy didn't comprehend that humans couldn't have things like that. Yapeth did, however. He did his best packing up whatever he had found for dinner. There was little time because if Edtric was with him, then that meant the two most mischievous little dragons alive were left alone with a human. Unsupervised. Edtric gathered whatever was left by his father in the hopes of winning some praise and maybe a special treat for helping. Yapeth pushed through the trees, rushing back to the den. He watched his daughters patting your cheek. They were trying to rouse you from your coma-like state. He pushed them away laboriously. Once he was positive his daughters weren't in the way, Yapeth examined you. He placed the back of his clawed hand against your forehead. He stiffened instantly. You were scorching. Your skin had the look of sickness. You didn't have dragon fire; you had a fever. He was lucky he had harvested the vegetables. He knew the basics for healing small sicknesses like this. He had kids who were full of all sorts of viruses and got into everything gross, after all.
Yan Dilf Dragon who remains by your side for the next couple days. It felt odd to do something like this. He hadn't done this in forever. Not since his wife had died. It felt peculiar to care for something older than his children. He had his twins aid in switching out the damp cloth on top of your forehead. He would spoon-feed you soup to ensure you didn't starve. Your body needed the nutrients. It soothed Yapeth when he detected your body relax when you ate. It was a sign that you were healing. Late at night, while his children huddled around you, you awoke with a cough. You tried to sit up but he wouldn't let you. It would only make things worse. Not to mention, wake up his children. "Where am I?" you strained to speak. Your voice was barely there from the lack of moisture in your throat. "My home," Yapeth spoke simply. He said nothing more. You wanted to question the dragon in front of you. Your vision was far too blurry, and your head ached too much to even think of anything more to voice. Yapeth left for a moment, returning with a wooden bowl and golden ladel. Steaming water resided in the bowl. He placed it beside you, using the ladle to gently spoon the water into your mouth. It soothed the ache of sickness in your body. "We can converse once you are well," he brushed a hand across your forehead to wipe away the sweat that collected there.
Yan Dilf Dragon who found some delight in caring for you. The more you healed, the more trust he had in you. There was a sick sense of pride in it. Not to mention the unspoken promise that if he healed you, then you couldn't run. Then you couldn't put his family in danger. Any sign of you wanting to leave was shut down by the excuse that you weren't well enough. At first it made sense. You still had a cough, and your body temperature fluctuated from normal to fever. Once you had recovered enough to be conscious, the children had the chance to finally ask you all sorts of questions. You were bombarded by two little dragonlings who could talk. And one who babbled excitedly to match her older siblings' commotion. "Do you breath fire?" Embdra shouted. It was Edtric's turn soon after his sister finished, "Can you fly? Where are your wings?" Several questions of a similar vein were tossed around before you could even answer any of them. You sat up to finally speak, but Illumnia took the chance to shove her hand in your mouth. Yapeth bolted over instantly. He pulled the infant away before you could even blink. What followed was the children whining about their father ruining their fun. "No more pestering. Go gather flowers," Yapeth demanded. He adjusted Illumnia to rest against his side. The twins ran off in hopes of finding the perfect blooms for you. He leaned over to help you up. It was time to guide you to the resting area he had been working on. A luxurious bed he took from a traveling merchant that had been covered in elegant blankets from a royal carriage. He managed to find a mattress too. It was so much more comfortable than the floor you had been sleeping on for the past two weeks. "Better rest for you." Yapeth pushed you down onto the bed. He tucked you in and pressed a kiss onto your forehead. Something he didn't fully think through. But when you relaxed when he did it? He almost wanted to do it again.
Yan Dilf Dragon who convinces you to stay once you're all better. "The children will become ever more distraught if you leave out of nowhere. They seem to have become rather attached to you, and I would be a terrible father if I allowed such a thing," Yapeth was rather condescending with his words. The subtle manipulation wasn't lost on you, though it was better to obey the dragon than upset him. He was the one in control here. You were in his territory. You've become his territory. Without doing anything but lying sick, you managed to fill his heart's missing piece his wife had left. He knew it would be better to let you go. To let you free. It made his scales shiver every time he thought about it. What would your leaving mean for the kids that got so attached to you? There were still some trial runs that he wanted to put you through. Now that you were well you could handle the clingy children. He could feel their excitement. Their wanting to be near you was ever clear to you. The first night in the new bed was cozy. Embdra and Edtric wanted to try it out with you. They wanted to keep the monsters away. That's what they expressed to their father, at least. He didn't allow them on the bed, not knowing how much weight could be put on it, so they compromised on sleeping on the floor beside it. When you awoke to a new dawn, you nearly tripped over the twins.
Yan Dilf Dragon who pampers you over time. After a month of you being with him, Yapeth can be comfortable with you without the worry of you bringing bloodshed. Whenever your hair is messy, Embdra would run over with a luxury brush and watch her father take care of it. Embrda would insist you braid her hair while her daddy does yours. Whenever you're messy, Edtric brings all sorts of towels while you bathe in the lake. Yapeth is also nearby, warming the water if he notices you shivering. Illumnia is always in charge of when you eat. The infant can tell whenever you're in need of something to eat. She'll sit beside you while you stare off into the distance, reaching her hand out to pat your tummy. Without fail, your stomach responds with a gurgle of need. Not soon after, Yapeth would be behind you, spoon-feeding you your favorite meal. Illumnia would climb into your lap. She would beg to have some but was denied with a tut of her father's tongue. In protest, she decided your finger was to be her snack. It felt weird to have fangs against your skin. Another pair of larger, sharper fangs found themselves against your neck. Yapeth had decided to follow in his youngest's footsteps. Your laughter rang out through the cave as you became a dragon chew toy. The sweet sound caused Yapeth to feel rather flushed. He wanted to hear it again and bottle the sound into a jar to keep forever.
Yan Dilf Dragon who studies your mannerisms to better read you. He wanted to be all-knowing about you so he could impress you. To show that he's capable of understanding humans and that no other being could provide for you. His children become his spies. You were allowed to wander outside as long as the twins went with you. They would hold your hand with big toothy grins. They would do anything for their papa, and if it meant hanging out with you, then it made it a hundred times better. You would sit in a field of flowers with the sun shining brightly upon you. The twins were busy picking flowers while you set up a small picnic for them. Yapeth had told you a dragon's appetite is greater than the flame of their soul. So you had been careful to pack several snacks that you considered to be appetizing for the dragonlings. Embdra would come back with her fists full of flowers, while Edtric had his hands filled with several rocks. "For [Name]!" They both claimed. Embdra laid the flowers neatly around the blanket you were sitting on in a protective-like ring. Edtric was sitting in front of you, showing off all the rocks he collected for you. Each one representing some shape the boy thought he saw in the abstract stone mass. Once both had finished, they took some of the charred meat their father had prepared for your outing. You had berries yourself, not liking the flavor of burnt meat. The two dragons seemed quite pleased. They rarely had any alone time with you, if at all. Yapeth would monopolize your time for the most part. Even in the small things you did with them, he would be sitting behind you with his hands wrapped tightly around your stomach. He had become more and more clingy the longer you stayed. Edtric thus decided it was time for the investigation to begin. He gently tugged on the sleeve of your clothing, peering up at you, "[Name]ling," he called you, like Yapeth had done once he had become ever more attached to you, "Papa says that humans like babies. Is that true?" You had to stifle your reaction, something in between a gasp and laughter, in favor of not choking on your berries. "Some do. It's up to each person," You answered as best you could. Embdra, now squirming to try and get into your lap, placed her messy hands on your cheeks. Her expression took on a serious one, "Do humans mate for forever? Papa says they do, but I saw a king and queen fighting in a carriage once. Did that mean they not mate, [Name]ling?" Another question that would have brought giggles from your throat had you not held your tongue. You cupped her cheeks to keep her eyes trained on you. "Human relationships are complicated. We do have romantic relations, yes, but not all of them last forever. Some don't make it to marriage, and others end their marriages after years of being together. However, fighting is rather natural for some couples," you sighed, trying to not make it seem overcomplicated to the children in front of you. The twins were perplexed. This new word came about, and they didn't know what it meant. "What's a 'marriage,' [Name]ling?" the two inquired in unison. "A marriage is when two people who love each other dearly hold a ceremony to be connected to each other for life under the eyes of the gods. There's usually a priest to unite the two souls together with vows and promises. And there are rings that show the two are connected in such a binding. Then, usually, the two people who are married live together. They cook together, go out on sunny days, and clean up around the home," you did your best to provide every detail in a way children could understand. It seems Embdra and Edtric caught on. Their eyes lit up as if some things were connecting for them. "You and papa be married!" Edtric cried out. His sister nodded vigorously in agreement, "Yes Yes! Papa and [Name]ling married!" Thus, another explanation ensued where you tried to tell them you were not married to Yapeth because a ceremony hasn't happened yet and that doing shared chores alone doesn't compare.
Yan Dilf Dragon who is regaled by the twins with what you had shared with them. You were fast asleep as Edtric and Embdra raved about what marriages were. They tried to keep their chirpy voices down so you wouldn't be disturbed, but excitement overtook them. "[Name]ling said that humans have soul-tying ceremony with mate!" Embdra boasted. Edtric followed soon after, "And and they cook and clean after ceramony! And they go outside to play!" The intel Yapeth had gathered was the same conclusion the two young dragons came to. You and him were practically married. You helped him with cooking by making your human meals to share with his children. You would accompany him and Illumnia on rainy days when the infant was too restless to nap. You would clean all the fabrics down by the lake and tidy up the cave so it seemed more organized. "So the human is already my 'marriage'?" he whispered. Embdra attached herself to her father's leg, shaking her head in disagreement. Yapeth's smile turned to a frown, "Then how does one 'marriage' with a human?" Edtric ran to the hoard pile, rummaging through his father's belongings. Yapeth had zero clue what the boy was doing, but he didn't appreciate his treasures being tossed about. Edtric came out of the pile with a loud burst. Gold coins were scattered amongst the floors as the dragonling ran over to his father with something clutched in his hands. "What do you have here, youngling?" Yapeth tried taking a peek before Edtric could even show off what he found. The boy unfolded his fist in due time, showing off his findings to his father and twin sister, "[Name]ling said marriaged mates have rings. That rings are sign of soul-tying. No ring, then it doesn't count." That's when his brain clicked. So you needed a ring to be married. Then Yapeth knew what he had to do.
Yan Dilf Dragon who, over the next few days, tried to hint to you that he wanted to tie his soul to yours the way humans do. That he wanted you to wear his ring as a symbol of his ownership. When you would put Illumnia to bed for naptime, he tried hiding it under the book you liked to read while you watched her. He hadn't counted on the book being far too engaging for you not to notice anything else. So he tried hiding it in the flour for your cooking. It sank to the bottom of the ceramic jar, and you didn't even feel it with the spoon you were using. Yapeth also hadn't considered that you might have accidentally cooked it into whatever dish you were preparing. He agonized over how to get you to notice what he's trying to do. He thought of having his twins deliver the ring, but they might say their own thing rather than what he instructed them to. If he hid it in a flower he gave you, would you even try to look for it? It was eating him alive. You did so much to his heart now. He never expected himself to stoop this low to appease a human. To try to convince a human to be his mate. Had some being told him he would be tripping over his own feet to try and bond with a human before he had met you, he would have torched them alive. He was trying to find the perfect way to present the ring to you. To show you that he was the best option of companionship for you. How was he to convince you to be his forever with him? He spent the rest of the week moping about the cave. He didn't go out to hunt. He didn't go foraging. And worst of all? He wouldn't provide Illumnia her much-demanded cuddles. He was losing sleep and drive all because you had turned his world upside down.
Yan Dilf Dragon who had enough of contemplating. He stopped his moping to find you. You were outside, cleaning your bedding by the lake with great care. You had the sweat of a hard worker glazed atop your forehead. It made you look even more stunning. A true gem that any dragon would be lucky to have in their hoard. You wiped the evidence of your hard work from your forehead with the back of your arm. Now that you were standing, it was easier to do what he's been longing to do. In an instant he was behind you. His large arms laced around to your front, dragging you to be pressed against your chest. You jumped, thinking it was someone trying to attack you. You had only realized who it was when he didn't move. "Yapeth, what are you—" you were interrupted by the loudest whine you ever heard from him. It would have been a blow to his pride, but he couldn't care about that now. You already destroyed every sense of himself. He kept whining, his arms tightening around your torso. He felt so shameful. "Do you realize what you have done, human? The mess that you've left me in? I should hate you. I should eat you alive. But I can't bring myself to do so. I can't even consider imagining ever hurting you. Not for the sake of my children, but for the sake of my own heart. It is a great feat to tame a dragon, but an even greater one to have a dragon want to own you as theirs," Yapeth sounded so distraught. As if saying all this outloud would make you run. That it would be the thing that made you abandon him. "What are you going to do to fix the ache in my heart, [Name]ling? I need you to heal me because surely I am ill to feel such pain for you. My heart aches when you gaze upon me. My dragon flame becomes hotter than before," Yapeth notched his chin to rest on the crook of your neck. One of his arms released your torso, sliding across your own arm. His claws danced along your skin. He reached for your hand, his claws tightening around it once he took it in his hold. "I want you to be mine. I want to have the ceremony with you. The one where we tie our souls together in the eyes of your gods. Please... I hate begging for things that are so just out of my reach."
Yan Dilf Dragon who finally slides the ring upon your finger. He twists the metal band around, making sure it fit you right. His whining stopped almost instantly when he saw the ring on your hand. You were reeling from all of this. It felt so fast. Yapeth hated you when he first met you. He thought you were a parasite in his family. You could feel his animosity when you were awake. Now though? He was begging. Begging for you to be by his side for all eternity. It felt odd to want to agree. Was this something you wanted? Your home was still waiting for you. Your doubt was clear to him. How could it not be? He spent months studying your mannerisms. When you were sad. When you were happy. He knew when things made you falter or light up. His claws wrinkled around your clothing. He didn't address your worry. He didn't even give you a chance to reject his advances. He picked you up into a bridal carry and held you close. Your head was level with his heart. You could hear it pounding from behind his muscles. He dipped his head down to seal his affections for you into reality. A long kiss was pressed onto your cheek, his lips not leaving your skin until you started to subtly shift around. "There is much to prepare. I want to give you the greatest ceremony. A beautiful garment, gorgeous flowers, and possibly a crown. There will be a feast, too. A perfect marriage for you and me," Yapeth voiced. It wasn't like you could reject him. He was making it clear that there was no room for you to disagree. The sheets and clothing you were cleaning were left behind at the lake. There was no need to worry over simple things like that. Your hands would be better suited for caring for your future family with him. His children would be excited to have more siblings. Embdra and Edtric would be excited to help you with cute little half-dragons.
Yan Dilf Dragon who doesn't waste any time in setting up his own small marriage ceremony for you. He makes sure there are foods you like and the venue is secluded but exquisite. The perfect scenery to create the absolutely impeccable memory of you two together in your joining of souls. His daughters were adorned in precious gold jewelry and dresses that matched the outfit he chose for you to wear. Their hair was decorated with several of your favorite flowers. Embdra and Illumnia felt like princesses. His son had set up the venue. Edtric was also in charge of the guest list, which was mostly foxes and wolves. It was quite the sight to see so many foxes and wolves sitting in front of a broken wooden arch left behind by humans. Yapeth's focus was mostly on decorating you to be his new companion. You were meticulously outfitted in light, breathable fabrics with matching jewels. A brilliant tiara that held gems that matched your eyes was placed upon your head. "Only the best for my greatest find," he whispered against your ear. His breath felt hot and smelled of charcoal. He held your head in his hands, pressing reverent kisses upon your face. Each one was a testament of his growing appreciation for your presence. "I have been granted such a glorious gift from the skies. You were unexpected, yes, but such a surprise. I am ever grateful that my dragonlings had discovered you back in that river. That I got to be the one to take you home. To nurse you back to health. I was alone for so long, I forgot what it had felt like to have the warmth of someone else beside me. In my arms. You are my greatest gift," he ranted while he adjusted your clothing. Your head was spinning from such praise. How did things escalate this far?
Yan Dilf Dragon who carried you to the venue in silence. He didn't want your garments to become dirty before you two had reached the destination. Embdra, Edtric, and Illumnia were already waiting for you two. The forest was buzzing in response to such an exciting thing to happen. The mighty dragon that ruled with fire and flame was trying himself to someone after years of mourning for his wife. He placed you down carefully once you reached the hidden-away clearing with bright sunshine. His children were giggling, watching their father be all soft on you. They took their seats amongst the wolves and foxes. Yapeth walked you down the path decorated with flower petals. Illumnia squealed when she saw you. Her chubby arms tried reaching out for you when you walked past. Her squirming had become too much for Embdra, so you had ended up carrying the infant along the aisle walk. Yapeth's heart lurched at the way you looked holding his fussiest baby. She was always calmer around you. Her little tail curled around your arm. Yapeth led you to stand underneath the overgrown arch, plucking two flowers for you. Edtric took that as his sign to run up and stand between you. The children were seemingly matching their father's energy in excitement and joy to have you be a part of their family officially.
Yan Dilf Dragon who gave you the kindest smile you've ever seen him wear. He watched as his littlest one played with the collar of your clothing. You fit in so well with them. He was so lost in your eyes that it had taken Edtric clearing his throat three times for him to be pulled out of it. "Papa! Gotta make the promises!" Edtrict reminded Yapeth. The dragonling continued, addressing the crowd and his twin, "We gather here for soul binding! With [Name]ling and Papa! Now make promises of happiness and togetherness till the end of forever!" Yapeth nodded once Edtric had finished. He took your hand and brought it to his face. He twisted the ring on your finger, gazing at you with a fiery passion. "My [Name]ling. Please do me the honors in being mine forever. I will vow to provide for you better than anyone else ever could even consider. Your head will have the gentlest place to rest within my residence. Your heart will always feel warm in my embrace. Not to mention that my little dragonlings have become quite close to you. Will you be mine?" he questioned as if the answer wasn't already obvious. Your thoughts were everywhere. Would it be best to agree? You would be well taken care of. And well loved. The burning fire in Yapeth's eyes was what scared you. You never noticed how bright they burned until now. "I accept..." you nodded reverently. All life around you cheered at your agreement. The wolves howled. the foxes chirped, and the children squealed. He finally leaned in and sealed these promises with a kiss on your lips. It was soft. A contradicting feeling to the rough hold he had on you. Illumnia, not wanting to be outdone, tried to mimic her father. It just ended up with her gnawing on your cheek.
Yan Dilf Dragon who was finally tied to you. Or so he believed. At the very least, the forest regarded your conjunction and responded with loud, animalistic cries. It was finally time to jubilate. Yapeth took Illumnia from you to free your arms. He guided you to the food laid out upon several blankets. It had been reminiscent of your picnic day with the twins. He wanted you to be well fed after something this exciting. And he wasn't one to pass up the opportunity to feed you, and it would be even better with how pretty you looked. He kept you close to him. He needed you close because you could still run. His paranoia took a complete 180. It wasn't about you running off and spreading word of a dragon family living deep in the woods that kept you longer than they should have, either. His worries lied in a stray human mistaking you for being in danger and running away with you. He didn't even want to consider such a fate to be feasible. It wouldn't be as long as he was there for you. To take care of you. To nurture you as gently as his claws would allow. Embdra, being tugged by Edtric, stood before you. Her father's intimidating gaze caused her to freeze up. Whispers of encouragement had been sourced by Edtric, trying to convince his sister to do something. You did not know what that 'something' was. The girl fumbled with her dress, tugging it down with her claws. Her voice was quiet, "I… I have a dance for Papa and [Name]ling…" She had been practicing it for days. With a nod from her brother, she started to dance with the flower petals. It was messy, sure, and a little uncoordinated, but it was very thought out. Something you could tell was worked on with great care. As you watched, Yapeth spooned bits and pieces of food into your mouth. He wanted your attention to be on him and him alone, but he couldn't deny his little girl this important moment. The dance was dedicated to him, too, after all. Once she had finished, she ran into your chest. She wanted reassurance that her dance was adequate. That she had done a good job and had done something you would enjoy. "Did [Name]ling like it?" her voice was timid against your chest. "I enjoyed it, little one. You did such a good job," you brushed the bangs away from her eyes to give her a proper smile. Edtric bolted beside you to tug on your arm. He wanted praise for his "priest" job. You tried to provide but your mouth had been stuff filled with food. By the moon rise, you were coiled around four different dragon tails and surrounded by purring dragons.
Yan Dilf Dragon who transforms from the fierce dragon filled with hatred due to the grief his heart never released to a monster who would tear the world down if you ever left his arms. He was addicted to your warmth. Days on end have become constant cuddle sessions. Convincing him to hunt became a chore. His children had to pry him off of you with their own claws. He made big deals out of leaving you alone for a second. He had his children swear to him that you would be safe. Even then he would whine as loud as a desperate puppy for you. His children would scold you whenever you did something their father wouldn't like. Their explanation always involved that they did not like when their papa was scary. Domestic life fit you so well in Yapeth's mind. It fit him too. The taste of home-cooked meals felt right, in a way. Well, whenever he even managed to get past missing you and put effort into hunting. Your skin would be marred daily with love bites because your husband had no clue what restraint meant. Yapeth just found it absolutely appealing to see you with the marks of his fangs on your skin. Not because they were markings of a mate, but because you looked absolutely stunning with them. Rough affections and rough declarations of dedication from all of them were the norm in your life now. It was best to let Yapeth do what he thought was best for you. It was hard to disagree with him. Especially when it ended up with him sleeping outside in the cave because he thought he upset you and you didn't want to see him ever again. Even worse when he puts his children through such worrisome events. Just kiss his cheek and reassure him that you meant your agreement to the vow of being tied to him for forever and everything will smooth itself over.

Might make a platonic version for my platonic!yandere lovers (just like me :D)
WARNING: Intended to be male reader, "handsome prince" is used once, yandere behaviour (softer) ,mentions: vague killing, marriage
My Love, Mine All Mine
"My heart and sword are yours."
Yan Knight, who couldn't really call himself a knight. Yes, he had faught battles, protected his royal family, got knighted. But that meant little now
Yan Knight, who was exiled when the prince came into power. "Too old," he spat. Rowan was of no use anymore.
Yan Knight, who spent a year traveling from town to town, growing desperate to carve a place for himself
Yan Knight, who, on one horrible day, stumbled across your cabin just peeking through the forest and the wonderful, perfect you!
Yan Knight, who couldn't fight back tears when you let him stay with you till he gets back on his feet. After rainfall and more, he finally found a place to rest. And with someone so kind too
Yan Knight, who refused to stay still. Helped out on your personal farm/garden, ran errands, protected the house you had made your own. It was like he was back to where he was. Protecting someone special, just not because of crown on their head
Yan Knight, who quickly grew comfortable with you. Placing a steadying hand on your back, fixing your clothes or hair, hugging you after a bad day, talking with his heart. How long had it been since he was able to be open about this?
Yan Knight, who, though protective, never went too far. Rowan had seen danger. Real, blood-freezing danger. He knew when to act. That was, until one night...
Yan Knight, who killed that night. He didn't mean to...something came over him, something dark, yet right, washed over him like a blinding darkness. His burly arms raised and...
Yan Knight, who, for the first time, buried a body
Yan Knight, who was forced to face what he had done and how easily it came to him
Yan Knight, who hugged you extra tight that morning. Excusing it as a just a wanting a boost
Yan Knight, who from that moment became far more possesive protective of you. Keeps you closer when walking, people start to invite you places less, guilts you into staying in.
Yan Knight, who rationalises it as protection – he's keeping you safe! Yes... that's it...
Yan Knight, who knows how he feels: the selfish want for you to be his and his alone, the hatred towards anyone close to you, jealousy about your past relationships, how it all is horrible, yet he can't stop
Yan Knight, who promises to himself that you will never know of his sins, of his failures and downfall. You're the only one who ever cared enough to help him; he can't lose that. He will hide it away. Show only his best.
Yan Knight, who quickly realises just how domestic things had gotten between you two. An unspoken schedule ran like clockwork. Wake up, make breakfast, eat, talk, get dressed, do whatever needs to get done that day, get back, have dinner, quiet time, bed.
Yan Knight, who is pretty old-fashioned in terms of love. Doesn't date for the hell of it. It is long-term or nothing. Yet now, he doesn't want to date anyone else...
Yan Knight, who blushes like a pure maiden at the thought of you two holding hands while running errands in the town
Yan Knight, who dreams of your wedding...two matching rings, one of each other's hand, tying you together for all eternity...then he'd finally, truly, be yours
Yan Knight, who has two tattoos. Both of them being a bear footprint. One is right over his heart (which isn't visible due to his chest hair), while the other is on his shoulder
Yan Knight, who get quickly socially drained, some days even speaking only one or two words
Yan Knight, who one day asks you for cuddles after a draining day. Blush covered his face, eyes locked onto his fidgeting hands
Yan Knight, who is an amazing cuddler with his soft strongman body. He had lost a bit of definition on his muscles, but it doesn't matter
Yan Knight, who loves fairytale-like music, especially if it's live...you would fit in a fairytale...the handsome prince and he's your knight in shining armour
Yan Knight, who will protect you until his final breath. Even if you exile him just as the prince had done, you deserve his protection, his loyalty.

CHILDE
You staring at Childe through the character screen was off-putting enough for him. But then with tears streaming down your face? That was when he became deeply concerned for you. There was this anger bubbling inside him, he wanted to take it out on those that made you cry. He wanted nothing more than to be there with you to comfort you.
He started to do his idle where his bow shows up, resisting the urge to shoot something around him. You were hyperventilating, the tears overwhelming your eyes. He hated seeing you like this, he wanted to see your smile again. Your broken voice hit his ears as he put his bow away. He stared at you as you muttered to yourself.
“I wish you were with me…”
Your words shattered his heart. He didn’t think that you, an all mighty being, could be so vulnerable. And that fact you were so vulnerable in front of him, call him selfish, but he felt so happy that he was the person you could feel like this with. He just watched you cry, plotting the downfall of those that had harmed you. No one would get away with hurting a god such as yourself.
He calmed down as he saw you drift off to sleep. His eyes were dark with rage, as his gaze from your sleeping figure didn’t break. Your screen dimmed due to inactivity, and his body was stiff. There was only one thing in his mind. And that thought passed through his lips as you could slightly hear him in your sleep.
“Dry your tears, you will have a wonderful place here in the Fatui. You will be protected within the Tsaritsa’s care and mine too.”
LA SIGNORA
You were crying as you had the pause menu open. You thought you could handle this fight against Signoria again. You never liked killing her over and over again, it was too much to your already aching head and heart. She realized you had stopped fighting her, and she saw your crying state. Signoria wanted to go easy on you, hoping you’d just finish this already. She didn’t like fighting you, much like how you didn’t like fighting her.
She felt so upset that someone could have this power over you. Signoria couldn’t even think that you, an all mighty being, could be so vulnerable. She then felt the battle continue, figuring that you decided to push through your sadness. She admired you for the way you would push though. Then the words you screamed out as you continued the fight with her hurt her so much.
“I wish you were with me!
Her anger couldn’t be contained as flames came out of her dress. It was a lot more intense as you tried to beat her. She let you win, however, with one of your best times in her domain. She just hoped it would have made you feel a little better. She saw you exit, feeling so bad as she wished you stayed. She longed for you, and she watched you as you stood outside her domain.
And after you fell asleep, standing outside the domain, AFK she could still see you. She could see your sleeping, tear stained face. It hurt her knowing that not only fighting her made you so sad, but someone outside their world made you sad. She brought a hand up to the window as she just stared at the carrier of your actions. She muttered out to herself, hoping you heard her in your resting state.
“Even in death, I will try my best to protect you, all mighty creator…”
DOTTORE
You had been attached to Dottore ever since he was shown in the manga. He could feel your attachment even before the game released, even before his story in the game was shown. He admired you so much, and he hated that he had to turn everyone in Sumeru against you. His cutscene played, but he was intrigued when he saw you crying. He started to think that you were so hurt by his plot, by how the whole story quest was going.
He wasn’t far away after that cut scene. He stayed around, wanting to make sure you were okay. But he could only hear your sobbing, and he got closer, wanting to comfort you. The more you cried, the more he wanted to see you. The more he wanted you to see him and his comforting gaze, and it hurt him when you stuttered out of your tears.
“I w-wish y-you w-were with m-m-me.”
He found your stuttering crying voice cute, but he wanted to help you so bad. Dottore couldn’t bring himself to accept the fact that someone could make you cry. It hurt him when you said that you needed him when he wasn’t there. He wanted so bad to be with you, to comfort you. His mind went to crazy places.
He noticed you were falling asleep, letting the dialogue pause to let you sleep peacefully. He felt honored to see a god like you, fall asleep and be peaceful. He wanted to kill those that made you sad, made you cry like this. His mind was plotting as the screen dimmed. He muttered to himself, not wanting the others around to notice he was there.
“I will do anything to those that make you cry, wire their brains to worship you like the god you are.”
ARLECCHINO
You were so excited to finally see Arlecchino after the trailers and leaks from the community. But you felt so upset during the quest, you couldn’t handle not crying. As you were listening to her dialogue, you were sobbing. Arlecchino’s ears perked up as she heard your sad sobs. It shocked her that you, the all seeing being, could be this vulnerable.
She became more concerned the longer you stayed on her dialogue screen. She had just met you, but she had heard of you through word of mouth, since you were a popular deity that was worshiped all over Teyvat. But seeing you like this for the first time was new. You had trusted her enough, after one interaction, to cry in front of her. Then your soft sad voice spoke up and she was stunned.
“I wish you were with me.”
Her eyes widened when she heard your soft and sad voice say that. She wanted you with her, too, to be worshiped like the god you are. She had always fantasized of all the children of the House of the Hearth meeting you, as they all admired you. She set up a room for you, and she wanted you there more than ever. But there was this rage that someone did this to you, made you this sad.
She sighed as it seemed she would be stuck in this dialogue for a little bit as you fell asleep. She was content, though, seeing you now calm from your previous crying fit. She broke out of her pose to bring her hand to her chin, as she thought to herself. Her gaze was soft as she stared at your sleeping face. She broke the code once more as she spoke off the script.
“I wish I were with you, to wipe away your tears. Once you come here, you will be worshiped by all in the House of the Hearth.”
