Today I booked a tattoo appointment at a shop a little closer than my normal artist. It’s not until September but that’s okay. Luke is also getting his first tattoo that same day.

Spencer had this ENT appointment today and he is scheduled for surgery to have tubes put in his ears on September 21st now. I can’t wait for my little guy to be able to hear properly!

@jennmarshalll we actually are using angle adjusters already. I have a Honda odyssey but hondas seats are really flat so without the adjusters you can't sit in the front of the car.

I just want to say, I hate our diono car seats.

Like so much. Id forward face the boys now but a) they're 17 months and this is less of a concern to me because b) it's mainly cause they are slightly too short for them forward facing due to awkward strap height but c) they're too young for frontiers which is what id move them to instead (they have to be 2 years old) but d) I hate these seats SO MUCH that I've considered getting them boulevard clicktights however e) I'm afraid the boulevards wouldn't last them long enough and would be a waste of money So long story short I'm stuck with these damn dionos that are a pain in the ass to tighten, suck to install, take up literally all the room in my van and are next to impossible for Emily to get under to get to her seat and they can't be moved from where they are because they are incompatible in the centre seat due to their rear facing boot but also Emily gets car sick outboard too. Fml

Feeling pretty over our financial situation.  I’m in college and that’s great and all but I still have trouble seeing any positive coming from this. Besides that we have all these people around us who are doing really well. Most notably my sister in law, but even then there are several others that are also doing well and here we are struggling to make it by.  I booked a holiday to Montreal for our 3rd wedding anniversary which is August 23rd and just today ended up cancelling the trip because we can’t afford to do it. We can’t afford to go to the weddings we’ve been invited to except for my friends wedding and only because it’s really close to home. We can’t afford to go to any of our families weddings and there will be 2 in the next year and a bit.  We can’t afford to replace the deck even though it desperately needs it so that isn’t going to happen next year despite us originally planning for it to happen. We’ve had to liquidate some of our stocks in order to pay for our line of credit which has the appliances and my school on it (and a few other smaller items). My credit card is ridiculous and it’s going to take me 3.5 months to pay it off.  I just feel completely hopeless most of the time these days. Nothing good seems to happen for us and we can’t ever just enjoy anything, we can’t afford it.
