ANGELS CREST
The film is about this single father taking care of his son and one day as they go outside into the snow to play, the father gets distracted and his son wanders off and disappears. Search teams are called and they find that he had died in the cold. The father is racked with guilt and the mother of the child, suffering from her own issues, is angry with her ex, blaming him for the death of their son.
Plotwise, muse a is a single parent looking after their child when tragedy strikes and their child passes away. Muse b is understandably upset and grieves the death of the child while blaming Muse A for not watching them closely. Together, the grieving parents must come to terms with the loss of their only child.
LOOK WHO’S TALKING
The film stars John Travolta and Kirstie Alley. Kirstie’s character has an affair with her boss and gets pregnant. Months into her pregnancy, she finds out her boss/baby daddy is having an affair with someone else. She dumps him and ends up taking a taxi being driven by Travolta’s character. A taxi where her water ends up breaking and he speeds to take her to the hospital. Long story short, he makes sure she’s okay, drives her home from the hospital, and even babysits from time to time. Another long story short? He basically becomes the little guy’s father.
Plotwise, Muse A is a pregnant mother whose life is upturned when she finds out the baby’s father is not loyal to her and leaves him, determined to go through her pregnancy alone. Muse B happens to be driving the taxi when her water breaks and takes on the responsibility of getting her to a hospital and even making sure that she’s not alone while she’s there. Muse A is learning to be a single mother but Muse B always shows up eager to help out. A romance slowly starts to bloom between the two, or they could just become very good friends. Whichever plot suits you best!
OVERBOARD
The film stars Goldie Hawn, a spoiled rich girl living a life of leisure, and Kurt Russell, a widowed carpenter with four kids. Goldie’s character ends up falling off of her yacht and suffers amnesia. Deciding to teach her a lesson - or just get revenge from the way he was treated by the spoiled brat - Kurt’s character claims her as his wife and makes her life a living hell back at home. She goes from having people wait on her hand and foot to having to clean up messes all day long, cook meals for six, and claims that her husband is the devil. The two end up really falling in love with each other and even after she gets her memory back, she wants to be with him and be the mother to his children, giving up her luxurious life for one with him.
Plotwise, Muse A is a spoiled rich brat who has everyone do things for them and has never worked a day in their life. Muse B is a widowed, single parent trying to make ends meet and ends up getting into hot water thanks to Muse A’s self-entitlement. After Muse A gets amnesia, Muse B decides a little revenge can go a long way and claims that they are married with kids. Muse B forces Muse A to take on a lot of the household work and gets the kids involved, too. As time goes on, the family becomes closer than intended.
THE FLORIDA PROJECT
The film was about a single mom who did all kinds of things to get money, including stealing and conning people into buying cheap products, all the while living in a motel with her daughter. Her daughter would get into all kinds of mischief with the other kids who stayed at the motel, which was more times than not get on the manager’s nerves and he tried putting up with it (as long as the rent was paid on time).
Plotwise, Muse A is the single mother trying to get by with enough to pay the bills and take care of her child. They both live in a motel where her child gets into a lot of trouble. Muse B could range from the child itself to the staff that work on the motel having to put up with the chaotic mother-daughter duo.
WHERE THE HEART IS
The film follows five years in the life of Novalee Nation, a pregnant 17-year-old, who is abandoned by her boyfriend at a Walmart in a small Oklahoma town. She secretly moves into the store, where she eventually gives birth to her baby, which attracts media attention. With the help of friends, she makes a new life for herself in the town.
Plotwise, Muse A is a pregnant mother-to-be who gives birth after being abandoned by her boyfriend. Muse B can either be a future love interest, a friend who helps look after her and the baby, or anyone you can think of.
