Alfred Thaddeus Crane Pennyworth
born on 8 April 1941 in Gotham when his mother was staying with the Waynes
Jarvis Pennyworth, Alfred’s father, was a butler working for the Wayne Family. When the Blitz began in September 1940, Patrick Wayne (Bruce's grandfather) offered asylum to Jarvis’s family in Wayne Manor while Jarvis continued to work for him. With the draft expansion following the attack on Pearl Harbour in 1941, Patrick and Jarvis both joined the US Army.
