ninjago hot take or not because I've seen people say similar stuff and I agree: most of Misako hate is misogynistic. don't get me wrong I do think she's not a good mother and there's room for this discussion actually but not the time. but a lot of people take it too far and it's interesting how Garmadon is always off the hook of criticism. I would say I like Garmadon more than Misako due to plot reasons mostly since the story gave Garmadon redemption and whatnot at least in relation to being Lloyd's parent and Misako just was kinda there as a plot device. but let's be real, Lloyd keeps saying that most of his trauma comes from Garmadon. He vented to Harumi about that, he vented about his dad to Akita, several times Lloyd explicitly says that the problem is Garmadon and while it is also just plot instruments to show conflict and resolve it, the viewer can clearly understand that Garmadon has caused damage to their relationship and ultimately Lloyd as a person (which is also an interesting topic in relation how Lloyd treats Sora and Arin). and when very fairly it's being pointed out that those two shouldn't have had a child or that their family is dysfunctional a lot of people actually seem to have genuine anger towards Misako. not to mention the amount of hate content she gets. and it's getting pretty obvious that the desire to strip Garmadon of any responsibility or accountability is purely a way to be hateful towards Misako.
