cuz like

baxter being flustered when cherri suggested that he and pentious dated lol (not concrete evidence AT ALL but im including it anyway) (also his original phrasing COULD be interpreted as like he used to refer to them as partners mb cuz they were in multiple ways? but anyway then hes caught off guard when he realizes what he said)

canonically at least pentious isnt straight (baxter's pride merch outfits are ambiguous, i personally go with queer/unlabeled, but they might be intended to be straight)

to elaborate on the last one, i dont think that flashback (like most others) is entirely accurate, especially with pentious' exaggerated yelling matching up exactly with baxters words idk that felt not like what rly happened BUT I DIGRESS even tho some of it might not be accurate, they 100% lived together or at least occasionally both slept in their shared workplace. also they looked like a divorced couple in the shot of pentious walking away and baxter watching from the window lol

baxter also says that when pentious left, he left to go like (im probably misquoting here) "pursue that woman he was obsessed with" (cherri) or smth, which could be part of the reason for their breakup, tho in the scenario where they were dating, its equally possible that they had an open or poly relationship and that pentious' feelings for cherri were no problem

in conclusion, they couldve plausibly dated at some point. probably.

What are your thoughts on genderqueer Alastor? (E.g. agender etc)

(I love your art and headcannons and all that, especially since you’re one of the only truly aspec friendly blogs I’ve seen so cheers about that, means a lot to see that kind of representation online :>. Plus the adhd stuff is a nice bonus. There’s a lot more I could say but I don’t want to drag on.)

Oh there’s absolutely 100% something weird going on there. He’s canonically gender nonconforming at the very least (eyeshadow, hair, suit cut, keeping his antlers so small, etc)

Personally im a fan of mascandrogyne Alastor, which is a micro label of a micro label that he would never actually use, but in the perfect words of my incredibly wise qpp:

Alastoressays has good takes on this that I really enjoy (one day im just going to flood their notifs rebloogging all their posts, mark my words)

He’s a guy, he identifies as male, but there’s also a splash of spice in there too and he does acknowledge it. He does gender-affirming stuff with his appearance and thats as much of a transition as he’ll ever want. I’ve mentioned it before, but I think in a perfect world he’d really like it/its pronouns as well. But so much of his dehumanization has been against his will, in a negative and inconsiderate way instead if a fun and affirming way, so he has too many awful connotations with that idea to be able to enjoy them. If the world were kinder we could have a precious he/it Alastor
