Update & Suggestion

So I’m a high school senior now and applying for colleges and stuff so things will be more certain within the next year as to where RangerCon will be. I know for certain that it won’t be in NY or on the east coast. It’ll probably be held somewhere on the west coast. Either way don’t forget to fill out the location form if you haven’t already~ Also the suggestions form has been updated OvO 

That was the update, as for the suggestion... Who’d be up for some kind of event/contest thing that has to do something with RangerCon while we wait? Like some sort of online contest or event or something. I have no idea what kind of contest/event thing it should be so if you have ideas feel free to suggest them!

So I'm in PA I can totally figure something out. But can this kind of thing happen NOT in fall? If we do unseen movement... *CRUNCH* X's 20838289293872819290 But more like in summer where people who are good at climbing trees can do so easily?

Yeah, I’d agree with that. Plus a lot of people have school in the fall so summer would be the better choice anyways!

I’m not directly in charge of the planning, but I do hope it works out! (And climbing trees...hnng. That was my entire childhood because I grew up on a national wildlife refuge. Sappy hands with tough patches of skin and covered from head to toe in bug bites, yup.)

Wow more than 100 followers! I’m glad you guys want to see this happen~ There will most likely be speed bumps along the way but I really want to make Ranger Con a thing and I will do everything in my power to do so!

So, how old does somebody have to be to attend Ranger Con?

I don’t think there’d be a necessary age limit! As long as they’re responsible and have an adult with them if they’re…say, below 15. We just want everyone to have fun! It’ll be a few years until it happens, anyway - we just hope it does happen!

Calling all artists/graphic makers!!! How cool would it be if the logo you designed is used as the official Ranger Con logo? Well we need a new logo and we were hoping you guys could help us out. Here’s how it works: you design and submit a logo that fits the requirements listed below and it could be picked as our official logo!

~ Rules

submit a logo to rangercon with the tag ‘logos for rangercon’ by the deadline 

the last day we are accepting submissions is January 16th

we will not post any of the submissions until after the poll has ended and the winner is chosen

~ Requirements for the logo you design

It has to be square (bigger than or equal to 1000px by 1000px would be nice)

It has to say ‘Ranger Con’ somewhere visible on there

It has to be Ranger’s Apprentice themed

Maybe put (an) oakleaf(s) on there

~ How we will pick the winner

There will be a poll to determine the winner

The poll will start on January 17th and will run through the end of January

The winner will be announced February 2nd

~ If you win

The logo you designed will be the official Ranger Con logo that we put everywhere!!

You get a coffee mug (if you want)~ either mug #1 or mug #2

You will get a message from Alex (ranger-34) telling you that you won

You have to give Alex your address if you want a mug

Alrighty guys so the first submissions are coming in and we realized we might not have been clear on what we wanted so we’re gonna add a couple more requirements.

- The logo you make has to be original, hand drawn is best (no taking pictures off the internet and using them because we might encounter copyright issues)

- It has to be transparent, or at least have a white background (so we can make it transparent). It is a logo after all, not an icon or a banner. We’re going to be putting this everywhere.

- Since it is a logo make sure it looks like a logo. Simple and elegant. Incorporate one or two aspects to make it ranger related but don’t go overboard. It doesn’t necessarily have to have an oakleaf on it as long as it is Ranger’s Apprentice related.

That is all. Please consider this while you are designing your logo. If you have already submitted one and it does not meet the new requirements you can submit a new one. Multiple submissions are okay but please keep the number of logos you are submitting under five. We will keep the ones already submitted for possible future uses and still post them all when the contest is over. Please ask if you have a question.
