something to consider
oh but i can still breathe so much better than i could before, even with the congestion. and no more burning in my chest or dizziness when i do light cardio or take a hot shower. no longer have so much pressure in my head it feels like my brain will explode. significantly less irritable. and maybe this is unrelated, but i am suddenly capable of keeping up on the dishes and other household chores with little to no mental or physical distress.
if these continue to not be problems, if it isnt just coincidentally the most functional week ive had in 10+ years, it will blow my fucking mind. like what do you mean everything was my nose's fault.
so it's been a little over two weeks since the sinus/septum surgery.
still not fully healed and i think there is still some of that dissolvable packing left, so sometimes it kinda feels like i got punched in the nose. still getting headaches every day, but atp i believe it is related to the surgery because the pain is sharper and seems to change intensity depending on how my nose feels lol.
The thing is nobody at pride is evaluating you to determine if you’re queer enough to be there because they’re too busy thinking “it’s so hot out” and “why is this lemonade 12 dollars?”
“Because the truth is, tech doesn’t have an image problem. It doesn’t have a message problem. It has an intention problem. What’s wrong with the axe murderer who broke into my house is not that he hasn’t successfully persuaded me to buy into his narrative. What’s wrong is that he’s trying to kill me with an axe. Similarly, when you launch a product that’s designed to put millions of people out of work, block access to sources of verifiable truth, replace human creativity with slop, and lower the barriers to every sort of atrocity, the problem isn’t that you haven’t told the public a good story about those things. The problem is that you are trying to do them.”

did u actually identify a double standard endemic to society as a whole or did u just see 2 unrelated events among the few hundred blogs u follow in ur niche subcommunity on this dead social media platform and draw conclusions from that based on ur preexisting biases
is this actually a community issue or just an interpersonal one that u want to talk about in vague terms
which of these things puts you off the most from a fic you otherwise would be interested in

You wake up one morning, and feel something is off. Your pillow smells strangely sweet. You’re still groggy with sleep, and try to hug your pillow closer. A piece of it simply breaks in your hand. It is made of chocolate.
You try to pull the blanket off of yourself, and you realize that, it too, is made of chocolate. You try to shake it off, and step out of bed. Your carpet feels strangely spongy. You look down, only to realize it’s actually cake. Lovingly baked, and smelling of sweet fruit. You grab a piece, and cautiously take a bite. It is one of the most delicious cakes you have ever eaten.
You get up, confused, and exit your room to see if the rest of your house is like this. The door handle melts in your hand as you hold onto it, and covers it with dark chocolate carefully painted gold. The rest of the carpet on the floor is still cake, the guardrails on the stairs leading down are tempered chocolate, the tiles on the floor are the same, the windows are sugar glass, everything is edible.
You run outside, knocking over the lovingly crafted chocolate front door in a panic.
You realize, in horror, that your house was not an exception. The bushes, the grass, the asphalt on the road, the trees, birds, the world itself, is chocolate.
Somewhere, not too far away, stands a man. Amaury fucking Guichon.
Human bodies are so weird like the upper half consists of every single vital organ and the lower half is legs
what is with the cop hate??
Oh sorry for the confusion. It’s because I hate cops
Can I be honest with yall I don't want to hear SHIT against cishets at pride this year
"But it's not FOR them!!!" The biggest military power in the world belongs to a christofascist nation overseen by a felon found guilty of 34 federal crimes and has greenlit a gestapo with more direct funding than the entire military of Canada for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. Let Hetero Jessica throw some biodegradable glitter at a municipal parade
At this point if anyone is trying to exclude anyone benignly pro-queer from a pro-queer space I'm just going to assume you're a fed or something idk like something something destabilize the movement from within or whatever
The 72-year-old British actor also had roles in shows including Merlin and Little Britain.
British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in TV shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ted Lasso, Merlin and Little Britain, has died at the age of 72. Head found international fame as Rupert Giles in hit supernatural teen show Buffy in the late 1990s. He went on to have a recurring role in sketch show Little Britain, play king Uther Pendragon in the BBC's Merlin, and appear as former football club owner Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso. "He passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family," his daughters Emily and Daisy said. His daughters' statement said "it is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our extraordinary father". They added: "It has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many." They also said they knew "how dearly he will be missed by friends, colleagues and fans of the show he was in", adding that he "loved his job very much" and "always considered himself incredibly lucky". His family acknowledged that "his legacy will live on" and said they considered themselves "lucky" to have watched him doing what he loved throughout his career. Head's other credits included The Iron Lady, Persuasion, The Inbetweeners and Manchild.
RIP anthony head, you will be missed.
