I’m curious as to whether the ending “maybe I like meat too” is a metaphor for queerness? An allegory? Yes, it's a metaphor for the struggle some people have to accept themselves and their attraction, mostly queer people! Nora is repulsed by the meat (Katya) but is still obsessed and thinks constantly about it :)
She can also be interpreted as a kind of vampire discovering her true nature eheh

I recently discovered I've spent the last two year living at my lowest energy level cause of my chronic illness and now that I finally feel better I'm realising how much more I can do!!
I feel like my creativity returned, I have lots of ideas, I physically have more energy to work and can finally think about more than one month in the future.
At the moment I'm reorganizing all my work and ideas while producing zines and prints for markets. I'm using an Epson ET-2876 and has a really good quality, I had it for a year and it still surprises me!
Comic wise, I have a pitch for a horror wlw story basically ready, but still can't figure out the right publisher to submit it to. I'll just end up self publishing it at some point :')
I'm also writing a couple of stories I would like to pitch this year and co-wrote and colored a middle grade story pitch with my partner last month. I just really want to do comics at the moment but I'm still kinda scared by them, I think I will never not be.
One consistent thing I've done for a year now are Pokémon themed commissions, I had no idea there would be so much request but I guess we are in the golden age for the franchise and I'm REALLY grateful for it, as a fan and as an artist, lol.

Moyoco Anno's Chameleon Army
I knew Anno's Sugar Sugar Rune but didn't know she also wrote such real and brutal stories, full of criticism about Japanese society and how woman are treated and perceived, always maintaining comically large eyes and lips and that late 90's aesthetic and sense of fashion. It was so refreshing reading something that felt real, can't wait to read more from the author!

If you want to watch something to take a break from social media doom scrolling I really recommend Horses on YT. Some of his themes are a bit a heavy and some video have slightly graphic images but I find them so inspiring and the unsettling feeling they leave is sometimes necessary for me to not feel anesthetized by the tons of content thrown at my face every day.

I don't think I have to say anything, it's so good it helped me through the recovery from a big surgery while the painkillers didn't work. That's it, that's how good it is.

Old silly comic about the period I had to go weekly to the laundromat full of wet clothes to dry.
Laundromats and places like that are kind of liminal, always full of different people that come and go, nice interactions and white noises, frozen in time until you step out.
These places fascinate me so much but it's so difficult to draw those atmospheres.
