Haha, in my dreams :’) cerulean / denim / purple

A dragon is walking on a massive iceberg in the Southern Icefields. When they kick up some snow, they see pure ice beneath it, and notice that the ice is glass-like. Clear. They dig more snow out of the way and see that there’s something deep within the ice.

The dragon gathers their clan to the iceberg, and they collectively begin digging. Fire and Lighting dragons breathe flame and electricity onto the surface to melt it. Massive guardians clear away huge swaths of snow with their tails. Other dragons work diligently scraping the snow off the ice.

All are excited to see what’s beneath! Treasure? A sunken ship? A frozen island? Whatever it is, it looks huge and dark.

Finally, enough of the snow is gone to see through part of the ice, potentially to see what lies inside. The clan leader is given the honors.

A lantern is passed to them to see better into it. They brush away a bit more snow, and look down deep into the iceberg to see what’s encased within.

Staring back at them is the rotting head of an Imperial, frozen into a grotesque snarl. Then another. And another. And another. All the rotting heads lead to rotting necks lead to a rotting body with rotting wings splayed out, all trapped deep in the ice like an insect in resin.

The clan covered up the iceberg once more, and fled.

Anyway headcannon of mine that a large amount of earth flight is similar to the Australian landscape. I’ll explain this later with pictures to show you all how right I am but like. Earth is boring otherwise. Empty open rock. Wow wee. Throw in some scrub land and dense bush and you start to get something interesting.

I say this simply because I’ve really always wanted somewhere on sornieth that has an Australian like landscape, because it’s an environment that’s always over looked but, and maybe I’m biased, it’s such an awesome environment. I want more Australian landscape representation

Lair Expansion Prices

Other than lair tabs and the map update, which are already confirmed, of course, I’d say one of the things for which I wish the most on FR would be for the lair expansion prices to be adjusted.

We all know about the “dragon overpopulation” problem. One commonly-suggested solution is to raise the maximum cap for expansions, but considering that currently, getting a fully expanded lair requires over 27,000,000 total treasure, it’s likely that only the most dedicated players could afford it either way. On that note, a relative handful of players having even up to 100 more spaces each might make a difference in the short-term, but probably not in the long-term, considering the constantly growing population and the countless other players who can’t even afford 100 spaces period.

That’s why I think it would be a better idea to focus on the more average / casual players, and the relatively lower spaces. I’ve heard it said that the lair expansion prices were set long ago, when even very average dragons could fetch hundreds of thousands of treasure apiece on the AH; of course, now, with the treasure-to-gem ratios being much different and many people facing more difficulties in selling dragons, the prices are simply too much for some people, especially people who just joined or people who can’t spend all day grinding.

I do understand that FR absolutely needs a treasure sink, and of course I’m not advocating that the prices be trivial — just that they be overall more attainable to more casual players. In my opinion, this is especially true now that we have another sink with Roundsey and will apparently get more soon with tabs and the hibernal den.

As a disclaimer, though, this is just my opinion as a player who joined about a year ago. I consider myself an avid player but I often have trouble earning the large amounts of treasure necessary for expansions; right now my lair has exactly 100 spaces, which is mostly thanks to pure luck in getting 3 million treasure from an offsite trade rather than anything actually on FR.

So… Thoughts?

I think you’re absolutely right - the economy is much different now from what it  was and the prices are outdated.

The only thing I’m a little concerned about is that a price update would be unfair to people that already have bought slots and I’m not sure what the best way to deal with that would be.

Meet my latest impulse purchase, AlmondLatte! 

As her name suggests, she really enjoys coffee with almond milk, as well as accessorizing with beautiful bows, basking in the sunshine, and playing with hatchlings. Tragically, all three of her own children mysteriously disappeared long ago, so she copes by caring for others, especially orphans like herself. She is autistic, so although she struggles in some areas, she is very talented in others. Some more notable traits include her cheerfulness, with a contagious smile that can brighten anyone’s day, as well as her gentleness, kindness, and general calming vibe.
