My current (semi) original au’s :

• Winged / bird

Basically I assigned every character a bird species based on characteristics or just looks. This au still follows the canon timeline just.. everyone has wings now

• guardian janka

Zanka dies in the well and in the afterlife is assigned to protect jabber as his guardian angel. He’s always tired of jabber’s near constant near death streak and having to save him so many times. Jabber likes bringing himself close to death the see the pretty boy that comes to save him.

• Spy zanka

Zodyl’s the one to find Zanka in the well, bringing and raising him into the raiders. In an attempt to gain insight, Zodyl sends Zanka on a mission to infiltrate the cleaners as a spy

I have a few more unnamed au’s still in the works but i can give like a short sentence for them

• au where spherites and groundlings speak different languages so when rudo comes to the ground he cant understand any of them.

• blind zanka who uses Lovely as like.. a sightseeing stick like he did in episode five against shovel and snowshoes

So with your winged/bird au are they actually birds or are they humanoid with bird features?

And if they are humanoid with bird features, do they still live in the Canon universe? Like the ground and the sphere?

Humanoids with birds features! They still act like regular people but i imagine their behaviour changes slightly based on species and seasons, similar to how real birds would act

They still live on the ground and sphere, though architecture would be different to accommodate people living with wings- like finding clear air spaces for young kids to learn to fly without the danger of falling trash.

He acts annoyed with jabber a lot of the time cause of how much energy he spends daily preventing him from dying.. but also covers him with his wings at night to sooth his nightmares ykyk

And jabber constantly bringing himself to near death if just to see the pretty boy that always appears to save him..
